00:11Jodie Sweetin is setting the record straight about where things stand between the Full House cast and the Olsen twins

00:17During an appearance on Black Eyed Peas member Taboo's Comics and Kicks podcast,
00:22Sweetin revealed that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are still on good terms with their former co-stars,
00:27even though they've stepped away from acting and the spotlight.
00:30Sweetin explained that the twins had a very different experience filming the beloved sitcom because they were so young.
00:36She pointed out that they were just eight years old when Full House ended,
00:39while she spent her formative years on the series between the ages of five and 13.
00:44She added that because they were toddlers when the show began,
00:47the twins likely don't remember many of the behind-the-scenes moments that the rest of the cast still cherishes.
00:52Sweetin said she remembers everyone carrying them around on set,
00:55but acknowledged that acting simply wasn't the same experience for them.
00:59According to Sweetin, Mary-Kate and Ashley later discovered their passion for fashion
01:02and chose to leave Hollywood behind because they don't want the attention that comes with being public figures.
01:08The Olsen twins famously declined to return as Michelle Tanner for Netflix's Fuller House,
01:13which ran for five seasons from 2016 through 2020.
01:16Sweetin said she completely understands that decision,
01:19explaining that the sisters spent so much of their childhood in the public eye
01:23that it's understandable they wanted a more private life.
01:26After their acting careers, Mary-Kate and Ashley built the luxury fashion label The Row
01:30and have remained notoriously private, only making the occasional public appearance.
01:35Most recently, the twins were spotted in family photos from their older brother Trent Olsen's wedding in May.
01:41Ashley attended with her husband, Louis Eisner,
01:43while their younger sister, Elizabeth Olsen, was also there.
01:46And despite keeping a low profile, the twins have stayed connected to their Full House family.
01:51Back in 2023, John Stamos revealed they attended Bob Saget's funeral,
01:55where he said Mary-Kate and Ashley thanked the cast for giving them such a wonderful childhood
02:00and told everyone they had fond memories of their time together.
02:03Stamos said hearing those words meant everything to the cast,
02:06proving that even years after leaving Hollywood behind,
02:09the bond between the Full House family is still very much intact.
