Vietnam is facing a growing population challenge. One year after ending its decades-long two-child policy, the government has introduced new incentives—including a baby bonus and extended maternity leave—to encourage families to have more children.

But many young Vietnamese say the financial support is far from enough. Rising housing costs, childcare expenses, job insecurity, and career priorities are making parenthood increasingly difficult.

In this report from Hanoi, hear from young residents and experts at the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) about why Vietnam's birth rate continues to decline despite government incentives.

00:00I was waiting for the next day, you made a timeless life
00:16One of the best favorite unique books of art
00:16The famous book of Art makes available
00:17for us to write it a book of art
00:22The first book of art is we out
00:30Before I didn't think about it, because I felt a lot of pressure when I was growing up
00:37from 0 to 0, when I was growing up.
00:41Because I just needed the ability to communicate with my child,
00:45then to help my child, then to finance my child,
00:48then to finance my child from age to age,
00:51and to go through very many stages.
00:52But my child is growing very quickly, with the mind of it.
00:55But with 2.000.000, it seems to be a bit of power to help my child.
01:02But for me, to be able to become a child,
01:07only with a goal or only with a 2.000.000,
01:10I think it is a little bit less than the power of a mother,
01:13or the power of a child.
01:25The power of a child,
01:25is there any questions for me?
01:46The power of a child with an impact on people,
01:46I remember that the country has started to concern over the age of 25,
01:51and the power of an animal has started to concern over the age of 25.
01:51I was more concerned about human beings,
01:52so just because my child has started to concern over the age of 25,
01:52now because the nation has started to concern over the age of 25.
01:54Vietnam has reduced, not increased, so that the country is very concerned.
01:59That is also an important thing to encourage everyone, children and children.
02:04But there is also a lot of money, so much money is not enough.
02:09It is enough to make a lot of money for everyone.
02:12I still have a plan to take care of children and children,
02:15because now I still want to take care of children.
02:18Most of the children still want to take care of children.
02:21I also want to take care of children who are making a children,
02:27since I was born to be born until I was born.
02:30Since I started, since I had the most part, I had to take care of children.
02:33They're apologizing to children.
02:42They were feeding children.
02:45Then, they are dying for children.
02:47They are dying to take care of children from their children.
02:50These children are dying for children and children.
03:16This is one of the steps that we have to say,
03:18We want to talk about how we are going to protect our children's lives in the future and encourage us
03:33to do the quyền tự quyết về sinh sản.
03:35The reason for the economy is the most important thing,
03:39including children, children, children, children, children are very high,
03:45children are very high, children are very high, and they are very important.
03:48Those are the reasons for the economy that can't stop people to make their dreams.
04:17The reason why the dog has PDG is so a deep pain.
04:18That was one of the big debates.
04:19I am in a rot video, I am in my head.
04:19No, I am in a martial arts.
04:32I'm sorry.
04:35I'm sorry.
04:45But I'm sorry.
04:46I'll be there again.
04:47It's the same thing.
04:48I don't know.
04:48I don't know.
04:48I don't know.
04:49I think I'm sorry.
04:50I'm sorry.
