PH attains upper middle-income status, Marcos calls it ‘vote of confidence’

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. described the Philippines new 'upper-middle-income' status as a “vote of confidence” in the country’s future. In his video message Thursday, July 2, the President said this validates the administration’s policies and will attract more investments, create better jobs, and bring tangible progress to Filipino families.  The World Bank confirmed the milestone on Wednesday, July 1, marking the end of almost four decades as a 'lower-middle-income' nation.
