00:33possibly go wrong are we good we're not great what else could go wrong relax relax relax I had the
00:43throne of the effing boat
00:55look where we are in this vast landscape we're basically even off the top of it that's right
01:03stunning there's no better way to travel we're heading to dusky sand and we're gonna land on the
01:10boat pure salt we do conservation work in fjordland we're landing on the boat on the boat
01:22oh wow it's gonna do a wee t-tour over here and I'll fly you up to Florence lakes there's

01:47is up there thank you very much wow there's our first view of dusky sounds this is all ocean salt
01:59water all the way back and we're going right up to the end there's over 150 islands of dusky sound
02:05the land look at her you're welcome it says the Akron passage coming up on the right-hand side and
02:13that's where captain got sailed through there's the boat the shoes wow that's amazing is this the
02:24first time you've landed on the boat first time so we'll see how we go oh deal we're in the
02:33shit of
02:38the juice wow this is crazy wow
02:52well it's awesome to have you guys and I mean flying in you would have seen just how fast this
02:57place is
02:57and there's no one to be seen for ages incredible paradise it is isn't it yeah we're in the southwest
03:04corner of New Zealand yep fuel and national park and we're in tamatia dusky sound we kind of function
03:09like a social enterprise right where we are here is many islands that's Pukanui anchor island and
03:15that's actually home to kakapo that's been predator free since the 2000s right so we're surrounded by what
03:21the vision is for the whole place conservation work whole ecosystem restoration above and below the
03:25water and the boat is 27 meters kind of imagine like a floating batch yep only 12 people at a
03:31time
03:31just come for a weekend enjoy the place and you can charge the whole boat or just join individually
03:35like you guys are joining us oh fabulous and it's basically you switch off from the world and you just
03:39get back to nature really reconnect that's what it's about beautiful and how long you've been doing
03:44this oh it'll be nine years pure salt's been operating now not long enough yet yeah this is
03:50home this is a home yeah yes this is a business and yes it makes us money but it allows
03:54us to look
03:55after the place so by you guys being here you're helping us do some of that stuff oh brilliant yeah
03:59yeah well there's no itineraries no schedules yep but I'm pretty keen on you guys cooking some dinner
04:04actually so we've got to cut you cook it and then feed you that sounds like a great plan to
04:09me
04:09since you've offered I think we can do that well you know we've got to repay them a little bit
04:12don't we
04:13yes of course yeah well I just noticed some seals having sex over there
04:19well we are in nature absolutely you've got a good vision mate don't you know you're going to hear
04:24I know this a lot mate okay yeah go strong buddy that ecosystem restoration it worked right there
04:34all right let's go shall we yeah we'll go and play with them hey okay see if they're like you
04:47it's very relaxing isn't it I love it it's like being on the avatar the scenery yeah oh there's a
04:54seal there look at that that's who I heard how was it for you darling oh there's two yeah so
05:04cute
05:08I reckon I could be a seal keep on the rock have a bit of the sex talk back in
05:13catch a fish have some
05:15more sex ah New Zealand I needed that we've moved a little bit where are we now we're on the
05:28southern
05:28side of Mamakou Indian Island we'll see if we can find a spot to go and actually get an idea
05:33of how
05:33Fjordland bush works yes cool go for a walk the walks around here aren't hiking walks they're all
05:39there for trapping and conservation work yeah yeah a bit of an idea of what the volunteers do when they
05:43come to work cool walk walk and talk we can do that yeah you can talk I can walk yeah
05:49okay
06:02we've made lunch I named this Collinville yeah I think it's been taken already mate a lot of flies
06:12off yeah I think they might have followed us from the shore funny fact though that top speed is about
06:17two kilometers an hour which is walking speed fun fact not seeing the fun right the way sweet
06:25I'll be in charge of the fun facts let me tell you you should have told me where trousers it
06:30wasn't in
06:31the booklet all the tracks we're walking here they're all just here because of tracking so the
06:39boxes there's over 400 of them across this island the idea is that you get rid of your rats and
06:44stoats
06:44and the native thrive it's just that simple yeah so we've been doing this here for about eight years
06:49and we even found kiwi doc didn't even know that existed here still and now we're seeing kiwi
06:53across the entire island that's brilliant and that's just the above water stuff then you start
06:59looking at underwater conservation as well so it just keeps going you know you can serve them
07:03flows it's here keep them going it's probably part of the reason we haven't seen many people you
07:08know only the harder ones survive yeah so just to get a sense of place just listen
07:23right I'm trying called out let's go
07:29are you good to go for a free dive now
07:38so cray is the thing we're looking for today I think so yeah but what else is on the net
07:43and the
07:43cracks and crevices around here we're gonna find greenlit mussels that about 100 to 150 millimeters long
07:48that's what we're after big fat ones yeah
07:51big fat ones yeah
07:55just stay at work
07:57fair call fair call yeah
08:00oh
08:01oh
08:02oh
08:02oh
08:03oh
08:06oh
08:21oh
08:22yeah
08:23oh
08:24that was
08:25look into that
08:27look at that
08:29look at that
08:32first ever
08:49On this one, you're going to go ahead two other ways.
08:55Okay.
09:27Great muscle, but it's easier to catch.
09:30They're huge, aren't they?
09:32Huge.
09:37Oh, they're huge, man.
09:39They bumped them.
09:44Oh, it's tall.
09:46She's so frustrating.
09:48But you know what?
09:49I've got some muscles.
09:50Not easier.
09:51Whoo!
10:11Get ready.
10:15Come on.
10:16You caught something.
10:18You caught something.
10:20You caught something.
10:20You caught an iron.
10:22All right.
10:23Let's start cleaning and cooking.
10:27Whoo-hoo-hoo!
10:29Lobster is a bit much.
10:30And then we've got a stock over there to do a risotto with the muscles in it.
10:34It's like French making love, low and slow.
10:37We are Queenstown bound.
10:41Welcome, real country lads.
10:43Colin.
10:44I know you're a bit nervous right now.
10:47Competition time.
10:51Bullseye!
10:59Have you ever cooked on the boat before?
11:02Yeah, well, not like this.
11:03Cooking the cries that we just caught in the elements, in the sun, in the wind.
11:10Right away, we have to dispatch the lobster.
11:13Loosen the tail.
11:16There's a little bit of roe in there we're gonna use to flavor the risotto we're gonna make.
11:22And then with all the shells, we're gonna roast them to make a stock.
11:27Yes, Chef.
11:28Really high heat.
11:32Whoo-hoo-hoo!
11:34Last one.
11:47All right.
11:48Ready for vegetable, Chef?
11:50Oui.
11:51I'm gonna put a tin of tomatoes.
11:55The veg adds a little bit of sweetness to the stock, a little bit of body.
12:09We're gonna steam the tails very gently, put it in the seawater.
12:13All right, so this is seawater.
12:16Chef?
12:17Oui, Chef.
12:18I'm putting the crayons tails in the steamer.
12:21Three minutes.
12:25And we just need to work out the muscles, will you?
12:27All right.
12:28I'll teach you how to do it.
12:37We'll chop the mussel, chop it and throw it into the risotto at the end so you get the freshness.
12:43Oh, wow.
12:46Look at the size of that.
12:50I think we got it.
12:57Three minutes.
12:58I think it's plenty.
13:01Look at that.
13:02Whoo!
13:04So lobsters are a bit poached.
13:06We took them off the shelf, sliced them, put them back in and then we've got a stock over there
13:10to do a risotto with the mussels in it.
13:12So everything basically came from there, prepped there, to here, to the oven, to the table.
13:19Off the grid.
13:20Off the grid, my friend.
13:27Eggs for the hollandaise to put over those beautiful tails of crayfish.
13:35All right, the risotto.
13:37It's about sweating the rice down long enough before adding the stock.
13:41Yeah, it's like French making love, low and slow.
13:48We're doing some really risky recipes tonight.
13:51Our risotto needs to be al dente and perfect.
13:53Yeah.
13:53And an hollanda sauce that can split in any time.
13:58Yeah.
13:58If you succeed, we'll be kings of New Zealand.
14:02All right, I'm going in.
14:04Try five batter.
14:08So the mussels cook in the residual heat.
14:11Oh, yeah.
14:23Oh, that's hot.
14:26All right.
14:26Just give it a little.
14:28Sure.
14:31It's like a sushi restaurant.
14:36I think we've done it again, brother.
14:38Well done.
14:40Oh, ha-ha!
14:44Service, please!
14:49Guests, Sean, Maria, thank you for having us on this beautiful ship.
14:54It's been an amazing adventure.
14:56And we could only thank you by cooking for you guys tonight.
15:00Bon appetit, everyone.
15:01Bon appetit.
15:02Bon appetit.
15:04Yeah.
15:06All right.
15:17To our new friends?
15:18Cheers!
15:19Cheers!
15:23Cheers!
15:31The pure salt you could not have hosted us any better huh?
15:34Cheers to pure salt. Incredible views, diving for cry and green-leaf mussels.
15:41I just loved it all and Maria and Sean they're just bloody good people aren't they?
15:45They really looked after us and like they really care about what they're doing
15:49and how you regard the area. I'm newly relaxed.
15:52Yeah, I'm relaxed now. With me? With you.
15:56I mean I wish you was someone else like my wife but now it's you I've got to deal with.
16:01What was the highlight of your day?
16:03The highlight of my day, believe it or not, was cooking with you.
16:09That makes a change. What was your best night of the day?
16:12I think when I caught all those cries. Well done to that.
16:16And years ago I would have said sitting in a jacuzzi with you would have been the worst part of
16:20my day
16:20but it's actually quite nice. Cheers.
16:22Cheers brother. Love ya.
16:23I think we'll be at about early tonight. Oh actually the day's not over
16:27because we're sleeping together in the same cabin.
16:31So let's chat in the morning with the worst part of the day.
16:33Okay.
16:57Good morning New Zealand.
17:03What a way to wake up, eh? It's refreshing nonetheless.
17:09But my friend, there's a lot more grid we need to get off.
17:15Alright, call the chopper.
17:30It's good drying weather.
17:32It has to be done.
17:35Hang on.
17:36I've got one of those from the petrol station.
17:39You ready?
17:41We were there.
17:43It's time to move on and get some more stickers.
17:46Let's get on the run.
17:51Well my friend, the adventure's not over.
17:54Have you ever cracked a whip in your life?
17:56Well in the kitchen I cracked the whip, yeah.
17:59When the team's not doing well.
18:00Actually when I was in a circus school when I was a kid,
18:03they used to crack the whip and they used to hold a cigar in your mouth and they used to
18:06crack it.
18:07Well in that case, I'm gonna take you down memory lane.
18:10We're heading to real country, just outside Kingston.
18:16I'm not doing that trick with you cracking the whip though.
18:21Just keep driving.
18:22Just keep driving.
18:24How did you end up in a circus?
18:26For many years my mum used to take us for my birthday.
18:30I just loved the circus.
18:31Funnily enough there was a little circus school in town.
18:34I did a lot of juggling, unicycling.
18:38I tried to get into the Cirque du Soleil school in Canada.
18:41Yeah.
18:42And unfortunately I didn't get a spot.
18:44And I swear I decided to go to the kitchen with my dad instead.
18:48Things happen for a reason.
18:49Exactly.
18:50You met me.
18:50A clown.
18:52Another clown.
18:57Here we go my friend.
18:58We're pulling into real country.
19:01Oh look at the horse.
19:03Nice.
19:13Alright, alright.
19:14Easy.
19:15Easy.
19:15Welcome to real country lads.
19:17Alright.
19:17Manu how you going?
19:18Nice to meet you Manu.
19:19Howdy.
19:20Howdy.
19:20Love your hat.
19:21You like that?
19:22Yeah, just need some cowboy boots and you'll be well up.
19:23Just for the occasion.
19:25Tell us a little bit about real country.
19:28In 2016 I decided to set up a company teaching people how to crack whips, shoot shit is what
19:33I say.
19:33Shoot shit.
19:34And showing them just what the real rural New Zealand is like.
19:37Yeah.
19:37Because I was so fortunate growing up on a farm in Mossbrone.
19:40I had a lot of advantages that many townie kids don't and I wanted to share that with
19:44as many people as possible.
19:46You cracked the whip in the kitchen so now we'll teach you how to do it in real life.
19:49We might, I don't know, throw some knives, axes.
19:51Oh yeah.
19:52What are you doing?
19:53Channel your inner Robin Hood on the bows and arrows?
19:55Yeah.
19:56And I've got a 700 kilo horse I might get you to work with at the end.
20:00Nah.
20:01Into it?
20:02What do you mean nah?
20:03Horses man, kicking and hooves.
20:05They don't like you?
20:06Well I've already had a few accidents so.
20:09Let's have a bet on whoever wins the knife throwing or the archery.
20:13Whoever wins does what?
20:15Does nothing.
20:15You get the horse because you're going to lose.
20:20I love a little bit of friendly competition.
20:26Radio team, cracking the whip, I'm actually going to hand you over to Maggie.
20:29I taught her two years ago and now she's better than me.
20:32So, whatever hand you prefer, you're going to put your opposite foot out in front so you're
20:37nice and stable.
20:38Throw it up behind you.
20:39And once it's up behind you, you're throwing it back forward.
20:43Don't worry about a little bit of force.
20:44It's kind of like rhythmic gymnastics with the ribbons.
20:47Right.
20:49There you go.
20:50Now pretend you're cracking his butt.
20:53It's not.
20:53I had to pretend.
20:56Right, we got it.
20:58Okay, so competition time.
21:00You get five attempts at a crack and you get a point for every crack.
21:05Okay.
21:07One.
21:10Two.
21:12Three.
21:14Four.
21:17Five.
21:18We'll count it.
21:18We'll count it.
21:19We'll count it.
21:22Show us what you've got.
21:24Show us what you've learned.
21:28No.
21:31No.
21:33Think Elvis Presley hips.
21:35Move those hips.
21:36Okay, last attempt.
21:40One.
21:42It's only going to go one way this is, isn't it?
21:44And it's downhill for fast nature, I tell you.
21:47Righto.
21:48Bit of archery.
21:57He's smiling.
21:59Oh!
22:02Bullseye!
22:06You're meant to be in Paris or not.
22:08Can I concentrate here?
22:10Okay.
22:20You've done this before?
22:21Nope.
22:26Oh, it counts.
22:27That's out.
22:28One hour to go.
22:31Oh, nice.
22:34That's very well done.
22:35You're a great student.
22:36Upside down.
22:37Shut up.
22:40Sorry.
22:41I believe in you, Colin.
22:43I do.
22:46Yes!
22:46Solid out the gate.
22:56Good.
22:56You need two in the yellow and you're fine.
23:00Oh, sorry.
23:02I didn't mean that.
23:06Okay.
23:09Don't remember this happened with the crayfish, but anyway.
23:16Okay.
23:17Colin, at the moment you're walking under the horse.
23:20Well done.
23:24I want to channel your inner Viking now.
23:27We're going to throw some throwing axes.
23:29Top is five points every time you hit it.
23:32Bottom is one.
23:34Throw.
23:34Five throws.
23:35Colin, you're first.
23:41One!
23:41One!
23:43Okay.
23:44Release up high.
23:47Not quite.
23:54Yes!
23:55One throw to go.
23:59Yes!
24:01Twelve.
24:02Twelve's a score to beat.
24:16Oh!
24:17Oh!
24:17Let the axe fly.
24:19Don't try and force it.
24:21Yes!
24:22There we go.
24:23Two more throws.
24:25Yes, yes, yes, yes.
24:27Oh!
24:29He didn't stick.
24:32Solid 10.
24:35Righto, on to the knife throwing.
24:37Same rules as the axe.
24:39Give it a hoon.
24:41That was very close.
24:45Yes!
24:47Woo!
24:52Fuck!
24:52That was good!
24:56Okay, 10 is a score to beat.
25:01Too hard.
25:03Lob it.
25:08Oh, fuck.
25:09I need to get two.
25:12I can see him behind me already.
25:20Yes!
25:22There were still five.
25:23That was good.
25:24Okay, okay.
25:25Colin, you lost.
25:27But we know how much you love horses.
25:30Huh?
25:30Oh, come here.
25:32Yeah.
25:33You'll be alright.
25:34Alright.
25:36Relax.
25:37Good girl.
25:38This is Colin.
25:40I know you're a bit nervous right now.
25:41I'm good.
25:42You're gonna have to fake it.
25:43Smile.
25:43Shoulders back.
25:44Come on in like you hang out with horses all day.
25:47Yeah, that's it.
25:48Wrap your arms around her neck.
25:51Oh, yeah, mate.
25:57Thanks for coming.
25:58See you later.
25:59I'm done.
25:59You're gonna have to relax.
26:00I think she knows she's scared.
26:01She knows you're scared.
26:03This is not gonna end well.
26:04This is gonna end fine.
26:05Come a bit closer.
26:06She won't get you.
26:07Crouch down.
26:08Yeah.
26:08Yeah, cool.
26:09And just give her a wee rub.
26:11And you're gonna scoot underneath her like this.
26:19Good horse.
26:21Well done.
26:22Alright, mate.
26:23See you later.
26:27You alright, buddy?
26:28Yeah.
26:29I'm so proud of you.
26:31Thanks, honey.
26:31You guys are so good.
26:37We are Queenstown bound.
26:40That's right.
26:41The weather now is proper bucketing down with salt to the bone.
26:46Yeah.
26:46And I'm covered in horse.
26:48That business that she has, it's a great little business, huh?
26:52Yeah.
26:52And she's a great teacher.
26:54Obviously, I didn't win.
26:55But I guarantee you, if we had a couple of days there...
26:57You're such a sore loser, you know?
26:59I'm not a sore loser.
27:00You are.
27:00I'm just explaining.
27:02It was a rather large animal.
27:03And with my look, I would have got kicked.
27:06A great teacher is a great thing.
27:09Yeah.
27:09But you've got to be a great student.
27:11And you know, you don't listen half of the sentences.
27:14What?
27:15Yeah.
27:16Exactly.
27:21Wow.
27:22Words don't really do this justice, do they?
27:24I'm taking you to Minaret Station.
27:28Yoo-hoo-hoo!
27:29Might have a biking.
27:31Heli biking.
27:32Wah!
27:35Queenstown's picture perfect.
27:37Oh.
27:37I know you're a little bit tight.
27:38A little bit of relaxation.
27:40Yeah.
27:40Fabulous.
27:41Oh!
27:42Can you learn that?
27:43Stop it!
27:44Wow!
27:54Another day, another chopper.
27:56That's how we roll.
27:57Where are we going this time?
27:58So today, I'm taking you to Minaret Station.
28:01It's in a remote Glacial Valley.
28:04Ooh!
28:05Which is only accessible by chopper.
28:08We are truly off the grid.
28:10Nice.
28:12So beautiful, isn't it?
28:14And when we get there, we're going to do a little bit of heli biking.
28:17Hence, the bikes on the side of the helicopter.
28:20Then we're going to have a gourmet picnic.
28:22And Minaret Station is also a working high country farm.
28:26When was the last time you were on the bike?
28:28Actually, last week.
28:30I was at the gym.
28:32I didn't know.
28:34Oh, beautiful.
28:36Look at that.
28:38How cold would that be?
28:40Bloody cold.
28:41You get a few polar plungers happening in the summer.
28:43They brave the water and they don't stay in for long.
28:52Wow.
28:53Words don't really do this justice, do they?
28:57I feel like I'm in a bubble just floating between those beautiful mountains in the middle of the clouds.
29:05What do you got to remember?
29:06It's not CGI.
29:08It's real.
29:11This is a man aspiring up here to our left.
29:14We're coming into the Robroy Glacier.
29:16You?
29:18Wow.
29:19Land of the Giants.
29:20Wow.
29:21All right.
29:25So many mountains.
29:26It's just crazy.
29:30This is one of my favorite places in the whole world.
29:33It's just stunning in here.
29:35Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo.
29:38Wow.
29:40I mean, come on.
29:42Incredible.
29:43Incredible.
29:50Incredible.
29:50Wouldn't typically be ice in here like this, but there's obviously been a massive avalanche
29:54off the Kitchenoo Glacier above us, and it's filled the lake with ice.
29:59Incredible.
30:00Incredible.
30:06Well, my friend, if you look out to the right, that's Binarat Station.
30:10This is the only way in and the only way out.
30:12You can't get any more off the grid than that.
30:15I can see that, my friend.
30:17I'm not walking back, that's for sure.
30:23Wow.
30:24What a place, huh?
30:24What did I promise you?
30:25Hi, mate.
30:26Hey, I'm Doug.
30:27Manu, how are you?
30:28Colin.
30:28Hey, Colin.
30:29Nice to meet you.
30:30Welcome to Binarat Station.
30:32What an office you got.
30:33Yeah, yeah.
30:33We're right up in the high country here, and we're going to set ourselves up and do some
30:37biking down the valley.
30:39You ready?
30:39Yeah.
30:39Have you stretched?
30:40Have you stretched?
30:40Have you stretched?
30:41Your little quads.
30:43Is it hard tracks?
30:45It's a mix.
30:45We've got some technical downhill, and then we've got a really nice trail down through
30:49here in this open area.
30:50It's going to be epic.
30:51We've got these great e-bikes.
30:53Oh, it's electric.
30:54Electric.
30:55Yeah.
30:55Oh, yeah.
30:55It's easy we can do that.
30:57It's like riding a bike, mate.
30:58It's easy.
31:01Let's go.
31:06Look at this backdrop.
31:08That is brilliant.
31:10Yee-hoo!
31:11Yee-hoo!
31:13How cool is this?
31:16We're going to go right up here.
31:19Really cool.
31:27Well, I think my electric is working.
31:31Change the gear!
31:32Change the gear!
31:34Change the gear!
31:48And then you've got your main central lodge here where they come and dine and socialise
31:53and hang out.
31:54Take it all in.
31:54Okay, cool.
31:552010 was when it first opened.
31:57No road access.
31:59So the whole thing was built by helicopters flying in the supplies and then built on site.
32:03How does it work?
32:04How do you get electricity and water and so on?
32:07Yeah, so it's pretty unique.
32:08The location here.
32:09You can see up in the mountains we've got the waterfall coming out there.
32:12That actually feeds down into a pipe that produces the hydroelectricity.
32:17Oh, okay.
32:17So it's got its own little turbine.
32:19And then we've got our water source that comes down, gets filtered and feeds the lodge.
32:24That's amazing.
32:25Yeah.
32:25And that was part of the location was about those aspects being able to help with the running
32:30of it.
32:30It is off the grid.
32:31100%.
32:32It's open all year round and it changes throughout the different seasons.
32:37We have the winter season, people can heli ski out of here and then roll into spring and
32:42summer and you've got the hiking, biking, fly fishing, just enjoying the valley.
32:47Any partying?
32:48A little bit, yeah.
32:49Yeah.
32:50Because we like partying.
32:51Yeah, it's a good place for a party.
32:53We could do a weekend here.
32:54Yeah, we could do a 60th.
32:56Yeah.
32:56Together.
32:58We won't be cycling then.
33:00Why don't we get back on our bikes and start exploring this valley even more.
33:04We've got some cool waterfalls.
33:06Great idea.
33:06Eh?
33:07Yeah?
33:08No?
33:08No, great.
33:09Can you put the box down?
33:10Yeah.
33:16Woo-hoo!
33:19Oh, looking straight ahead, bro.
33:22Look at that.
33:23Wow.
33:24We've got a little bit of a cascade of water.
33:26Woo!
33:26Oh, look at that.
33:28Effort.
33:31Ah, you feel it!
33:35Woo-hoo!
33:41Woo-hoo!
33:42Woo-hoo-hoo!
33:46Wow, it's getting technical.
33:54There we go.
33:55Oh, look at who this is!
33:56Woo-hoo-hoo!
33:58Wow.
33:59Waterfall!
34:00Here we go!
34:01Go, go, go, go, go!
34:05Wow!
34:07Get up there!
34:12Woo-hoo!
34:13Woo-hoo!
34:13Woo-hoo!
34:24Welcome to Paika, this classic historic hut here that's from the early settlers.
34:30When they were mustering the sheep up the valleys, they would overnight here.
34:34I'm exhausted.
34:35Yeah.
34:36This is too much for me.
34:37Are you feeling hungry then?
34:38Because part of this heli biking day, we have this gourmet lunch.
34:41Lead the way.
34:42Lead the way.
34:44Please.
34:44I'm using mussels I've never used before.
34:47Which is what your abs...
34:49My brain.
34:53Compliments to the chef.
34:54Yes, indeed.
34:56Blue cod, lamb from the station, and then also the venison's home ground down here.
35:02I love that fish too, blue cod.
35:04Very good.
35:04Does he?
35:04Yeah, very good.
35:06At Minaret, it's all about getting this great produce.
35:08Yeah.
35:09Not messing with it too much and showcasing what we can get within the region.
35:13Great produce, great scenery, river in the back.
35:16I love the green trees and then the snow on the tip over there.
35:20And that little hut is like 200 years old.
35:22Yeah, yeah.
35:23Best restaurant in the world.
35:24Yeah.
35:25Exactly, yeah.
35:26It's all about the environment.
35:27And the company.
35:32So after we get through this delicious lunch, we're going to go meet that helicopter.
35:36So it's going to head down right by Lake Wanaka.
35:39Beautiful.
35:40We better fuel up.
35:42We're going to burn some calories.
36:05Saw it up in those snowy mountains now we're down here.
36:11Oh! Your favourite spirit animal mate. Hello. Hello, how are you? Good thank you. My second horse of the week.
36:19This is Willow. Willow Willow. She's one of our station horses. You seem to be more comfortable with the horse.
36:25I've lowered my heartbeat and I'm just expressing. Fair enough. I just don't stand around the back anymore, that's all.
36:31Gorgeous. Hey, hey, don't eat the back. Beautiful.
36:34So the lads are now connected into the actual working station. This is where the venison lamb came from.
36:40We also have these lovely horses down here that you can go for horse treks on.
36:45I'm a bit of a horse whisperer. See that?
36:47That was a much nicer horse experience. See? Lovely horse, beautiful animal. That's what you do. Come, come, come.
36:54Alright, we'll see you later. Enjoy the rest of your ride.
36:57Never stand at the back of a horse.
37:04How about that for a day, lads? That was amazing.
37:08Wow. Epic, eh?
37:10What a day. What a great guide.
37:12I feel like I've got fresh lungs again, you know?
37:15Clean air, great food, great company.
37:19Yeah, thanks very much, man. That was outstanding.
37:21Alright, our pleasure.
37:22The only thing is we messed up our whole cycling career now
37:26because we won't be able to just cycle without a chopper.
37:28Well, you have to come back.
37:30It was an epic day. Thanks for having us.
37:32Yeah, thanks, man. Thanks for being here.
37:33Sounds good.
37:34Burned off a little bit.
37:36A little bit.
37:47Alright, mate. Look at this.
37:49Oh, it's the best setting ever.
37:51Queenstown's picture perfect.
37:53How good was Banneret?
37:54It's my type of biking, heli biking.
37:57I'm actually exhausted today.
37:59Well, if you drive straight ahead,
38:02there's a new spa in town.
38:06I happen to know some people there.
38:09I know you're a little bit tight.
38:11Yeah, you know, I've done something to my neck.
38:13I don't know if it was last night, if I didn't sleep well last night.
38:15Maybe it was on the boat.
38:16And on top of biking today,
38:18a little bit of relaxation would be fabulous, right?
38:21Well, I've organised them for you,
38:22so all you've got to do is turn up and shut up.
38:25I can turn up and I can also shut up.
38:27I can do both.
38:30You can't.
38:32Do you want to go or not?
38:33Yes, please.
38:34OK, thank you.
38:39Oh, pass by L.O.
38:44It's a cool little spot, isn't it?
38:46Yeah.
38:46Right in the hill.
38:48Anyway.
38:48Oh!
38:49Oh, oh, oh!
38:51Togs?
38:52I got mine.
38:54Someone stole yours, I'm sure.
38:56Some fans.
38:58Skinny-dipping them.
39:01Here we go.
39:02Here we go.
39:03Ready to go?
39:04Let's go.
39:05All right.
39:06Hello, hello.
39:08Bonjour.
39:09How are you?
39:09How are you?
39:10How are you doing?
39:12How are you doing?
39:13Table for two, please.
39:14What a great place.
39:15What's on offer?
39:16What's on the menu?
39:17Allume is a brand where we're just looking for a modern take on wellness.
39:20So we've got some beautiful hot pools.
39:21We've got a floating sauna.
39:23Proper little places to just chill out and kick back.
39:25All design-led.
39:26Really beautiful spot.
39:27It is very calming here already.
39:29Yeah, yeah.
39:29You're in the middle of craziness.
39:31And then you've got this little calm oasis.
39:33This is it.
39:33That's what's amazing about these spaces.
39:35Everywhere you look, it's just beautiful.
39:37Picture-esque.
39:38This is it.
39:38This is it.
39:45We've got some more privates.
39:46So that's in stage one.
39:47And then stage two coming next year is going to add a further five.
39:49So we'll have 11 in total.
39:51Wow.
39:51And what's the temperature of the bath?
39:53So we're going between about 38 and 39 degrees.
39:56Oh, my God.
39:56I would be cooked in an hour.
39:58More importantly, if someone was quite annoying and a bit tense, would it calm them?
40:03You'd hope so.
40:04You'd hope so.
40:05I'm not just talking out of like, if someone came in tense and calm.
40:08Are we talking about yourself?
40:09No, no.
40:10I'm calm.
40:12All right.
40:13Oh, I haven't got any togs.
40:14Well, we've got you guys.
40:15So a little care package, but you've both got a pair of some togs.
40:18Oh, so cool.
40:21Oh, I just got a beanie.
40:22I needed a beanie.
40:23Are these the togs?
40:24Yeah, sure are.
40:25Oh, they're a bit more respectable, aren't they?
40:28Do you like that?
40:29Oh, yeah.
40:30Well, thank you.
40:31Thank you very much.
40:32No, all good.
40:33All right.
40:34Where do we go?
40:34Let's go this way.
40:36Lead the way to calmness.
40:37Thanks.
40:38Calmness.
40:39You go.
40:39You need to be calm.
40:41So we've got two here, which kind of have that treetop, like, skyline view.
40:46And then three down here with the mountain views.
40:51I like all the trees built in.
40:53Pretty good, isn't it?
40:54Yeah.
40:54Yeah, it's pretty beautiful stuff.
40:56They were all here, so we tried to keep as many as we could.
40:59Arbor.
40:59What's arbor mean?
41:01It's like safe harbor.
41:02Safe harbor?
41:03Yeah, like a nice enclosure.
41:04Arbor.
41:05Come on through, guys.
41:06Ooh.
41:08Ooh.
41:09Ooh.
41:17Little pull for two.
41:18Second stockpot where we're gonna cook two large chickens.
41:22Ooh.
41:23Ooh.
41:24Oh, that's hot.
41:25Oh, that's quite warm, huh?
41:34Look at the view.
41:36Absolutely gorgeous.
41:39I love what he's doing with the wood and the metal and the copper and keeping the trees
41:43in it.
41:43It's quite nice, huh?
41:44One of the elements of the world, the planet.
41:50Yeah, whatever, mate.
41:53I need a little massage.
41:54Can you do me a little massage?
41:56Just let me try.
41:57Nice.
41:58Oh.
41:59How's that?
42:00Yeah, it's good.
42:02Quite tense.
42:03I know.
42:04It's like when you go to the hairdressers.
42:06How's the kids at school?
42:08Good?
42:08Good.
42:09You go slightly gray there.
42:11I can fix that later.
42:13How's the Botox I gave you last year?
42:15Good?
42:16Good.
42:17Needs a little bit more.
42:18A lot of frowning going on there for Fadel.
42:20Yeah, this is a spa.
42:23It's a fast treatment.
42:25Fast or fast?
42:26Fast.
42:27I can go fast if you want.
42:29Fast.
42:34How's your calves?
42:35Good?
42:35Yeah, really good.
42:36Like little pork hooks.
42:39Do you want a deep tissue?
42:41You learn that?
42:43Yeah, you learn that.
42:44You learn that.
42:48This was not on the menu.
42:49It's excellent.
42:54Stop it.
42:56You're welcome.
42:57You're welcome.
42:59So what are we doing tomorrow?
43:01Get nice and relaxed now.
43:02We have a little bit of a drive.
43:04Richard, who's stocked up the caravan with beers.
43:07He runs and owns Emerson's.
43:09And I have a little question when we get there.
43:12You ready?
43:13You'll like it.
43:14Can we make our own beer?
43:17Eh?
43:18That would be awesome.
43:19Book it like.
43:20We have a less job.
43:20We should call it Betty.
43:22Betty's beer.
43:23Betty's beer.
43:24What kind of beer do you want to make?
43:26Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.
43:28Just relax.
43:40Worse to die away.
43:45I don't move.
43:50You bastard.
43:58Time for bed.
44:00Big day tomorrow.
44:03Good night.
44:10What a beautiful little spot.
44:11It's a lunch, huh?
44:12I reckon that's one of our best.
44:14We'd love to make our own beer.
44:15When you come to the dock, eh?
44:17And then that gives a .
44:19You haven't had a taste of my mother yet?
44:21No.
44:23Oh, you're such a pig.
44:25You said try and I've broken my mouth.
44:27We're about to meet the infamous floor.
44:30Hello, hello.
44:31I've been expecting you.
44:33Every signature is someone who's eaten here.
44:35In the present company, we don't want to trick it up too much.
44:38We're feeling under the pressure.
44:39Oh, my good news.
44:39So the second person here...
