00:35I love the UK. I love Wimbledon. I'm a huge fan of tennis. I'm a huge fan of Wimbledon specifically.

00:49Hey, congratulations on the massive bows that the invite is having so far.
00:52Thank you. And whilst people are praising, you know, how it looks and the cast and the performances,
00:57the script is above all else in many people's eyes. How has it been to like, have it received
01:01in this way? Have you kind of reached out? It's nuts. It's nuts. I'm going to be honest.
01:06It's completely surreal. Um, it's been just an incredible journey and you know, I get to,
01:11Will McCormick is my best friend and we get to write together and we, all we do is make each
01:15other laugh
01:16and tell dirty jokes. And it's, it's, it's a real, uh, miracle that we get to share that with the
01:23world and that they actually are down for it. You know, it's great. I've, um, you know,
01:27past interviews where they're talking about how, you know, they received the script and they got
01:31together and added kind of their own experiences and like relationship dynamics into it as well.
01:35Also you and Will are best friends, but like, do you have, were you putting some of your own
01:39experiences into the script as well? Your own like ways? Yeah. I mean, we all sat down together
01:43with the actors and we just, it was like a information sharing session. People were,
01:48everybody was so forthcoming with their past experiences, which is why it feels so naturalistic
01:54and it feels so much like them. And it was so fun because everybody was so honest about their past.
02:00And, um, and it really gave us an opportunity to shape those parts for these incredible actors.
02:06And also they've all read so many scripts written, you know, produced, like what, what a wealth of
02:12talent for us to, to work with. But yeah, there's definitely some personal stuff in there for me,
02:18for sure. It was, um, such an intimate like film over to itself, but also like that experience sounds
02:23like a very intimate moment between you and I've seen them all talk about how they learned really
02:27unique and interesting things about each other. We did. Is there anything that you can share?
02:30Absolutely not. No, that is, that's cone of silence. That is for us to know in that room. And that's
02:36it, that's it. That was a test and you passed it. That's right. And I hope everybody else passes.
02:39If they don't, you better call me. Um, what conversation do you want audiences to have
02:43as they leave the cinema? Hmm. Well, I hope they laugh. And then I hope after they laugh,
02:48they kind of shiver a little bit and think, God, maybe there's a conversation I can have with my
02:53partner that I haven't. And if, if they're single, maybe they, you know, think they're lucky stars.
02:59They're single. Um, or they think to themselves about a past relationship, something that, you know,
03:05they could have done differently or it makes them miss somebody or want something new out of a new
03:10partner. I don't know. I just hope it likes it. It sparks a bit of, um, uh, personal reflection in
03:16terms of how, how you position yourself in relationships. Yeah. And my final question is a, um,
03:22personal one, that being, look, you love, um, and that's an open and polar dynamic. Do you get
03:28fans coming up to you and giving you Leslie Knope style compliments, like a beautiful seahorse? Yes,
03:32kind of stuff. I do. I get a lot of people just scream at me on the street and Perkins
03:36all the
03:37time. Um, I, you know, I get like beautiful, exotic starfish, you, you know, all of them. Um,
03:45but yeah, it's, I mean, it's, it's, it's crazy to have played a character that has that
03:50first and last name recognition all over the world. Because when we did that show,
03:54it wasn't, it wasn't a hit. It was not a hit. Nobody watched it. Well, some people watched it,
03:58but it was not like out of the gate. We were always struggling to stay on the air. So the
04:02fact
04:02that it's like sort of this thing now that people are, is beloved and teens watch it and they binge
04:07watch. It's amazing. Yeah. Well, I saw that Aziz is here as well tonight. Yes. Yes. And it's a whole
