00:00They're saying Gen Z is the loneliest generation of all time.
00:06I've seen them, yes, and I interact very closely with Gen Z.
00:12So I have that relationship and I kind of share that psychological space.
00:18So I know what they are into.
00:21I'm a friend to them.
00:22Are you seeing that loneliness worldwide?
00:24Because I'm in America, so I haven't talked to people about this outside the country.
00:28But is loneliness an issue going on worldwide right now?
00:31Yes, worldwide.
00:32Loneliness is a big issue.
00:34Loneliness, inner emptiness, lack of meaning, lack of purpose, rising anxiety levels, and inner void.
00:43All over the world, homo sapiens are the same.
00:46We belong to the same community, same fraternity.
00:48In that sense, we are all one.
00:50And in that sense, we are all experiencers of the same loneliness.
00:56That loneliness is kind of the difference between what this self, this ego, expects from all these objects it has
01:09struck relationship with versus what it actually receives from those objects.
01:15And because in the modern age, in the industrial and the post-industrial age, and now in the AI age,
01:23there has been an exponential proliferation of objects.
01:28So the expectations have risen.
01:30And if one object doesn't satisfy you, you can quickly hop on to the other.
01:34So the gap between what you expect from the objects and what you actually get from them, that gap has
01:39widened.
01:40And that's why you see this epidemic of loneliness the world over.
