13:33If you could each go back and tell that person who auditioned
13:36then something you know now, what advice would you give them and why?
13:40I would tell myself, bring more makeup wipes.
13:44Hoso had a similar problem.
13:47I was very fearless in my audition video.
13:50And in Missouri, I was putting myself in danger,
13:54going out in public looking the way that I was at 3 AM in the morning.
13:59But the thing is, I would die doing what I love
14:03because I'm that passionate about it.
14:06I don't really regret much doing it, and I'm happy that I get to do what I love.
14:10Would anyone give advice to yourself to sort of approach the situation differently?
14:16When I was doing the audition tape, I was confident as shit.
14:18You couldn't tell me anything.
14:21I came here, and I started second-guessing shit.
14:23If I can go back in time and tell myself anything, I would say, one, prepare more.
14:28Two, if you can't prepare more, back yourself.
14:31If you don't think you have the best look, tell everybody that you look like fucking Beyoncé
14:36at the Met Gala.
14:37Like, start lying to yourself.
14:39Delusion.
14:40That doesn't always work out.
14:43Second-guessing myself was fucked up.
14:46Coming here, I realized that it's good to be vulnerable
14:49because you cannot just be perfect.
14:52It doesn't help you to grow, and I just will tell myself,
14:55don't worry about being perfect because you're not going to be perfect.
14:59Yeah, I'm going to piggyback off of what Orgodic just said,
15:01like, the idea of perfection and trying to, like, be the best you can
15:05and, like, represent your city.
15:07Like, all of this pressure really gets in your head.
15:09And, like, yeah, I would say to myself, like, this is for you.
15:12This is for no one else.
15:13This is for you to prove who you are, and all those other pressures
15:15can just, like, go out the window and fuck off.
15:17I'd like to pick up with Onyx, as we probably got to know you the least
15:21during the competition.
15:23It seemed like you came here with the materials and the ideas
15:26ready to make some killer looks, but when faced with the question
15:29of who you are as a drag artist, you seemed a bit lost.
15:33Is that something you didn't give much thought before coming here?
15:37On, like, a drag level, I think I definitely spread myself a bit too thin.
15:43Outside of this, I really thought of myself as a really, like, versatile artist,
15:47but I never really thought of, like, branding and pulling that all together
15:51and honing it in into one concrete superstar.
15:56But I'm grateful for it because I think I know where to shine now.
16:01I do want to throw this out there.
16:02I loved your promo look.
16:04There was androgynous play.
16:05It was very sexual, and you were showing your ass,
16:07which, as you're saying, is, like, you know, one of your favorite things to do.
16:10I'd love to do it small. I do.
16:12And I think, I think, and it really works with your name, too,
16:15because your name is kind of, like, has sexual innuendos.
16:17So, surprise, I would say, like, lean into the sexuality and the sex appeal
16:21because I think it works all the way around.

16:26And if there's something I could share with everybody,
16:29I myself have learned that I am a woman myself.
16:36No, really, it was all y'all that, like, really did give me, like,
16:39the strength and courage to do this.

16:54to helping you figure out your identity?
16:57I've never and no one else has ever really put, like, a microscope on me,
17:01the way that this show has and the way that the judgment has,
17:06my competitors have.
17:07It really made me look inwards into myself and also, like, outwards
17:12in the way that I present myself to everyone else.
17:15Without this show, I would have never done that.
17:17You know, I've never been challenged in that way.
17:20I don't want your experience here or where you place
17:24to discourage you from going forward just as strong as you came into this competition.
17:29And I hope you continue to go and do great things with your drag.

17:41So Satana, in your audition video, you seemed kind of fiery and more like you were looking to
17:46tussle with your cast members.

17:50I would be going in with a lot of things to say, and I'm very excited to show that side
17:57of my personality.
17:58But then when you got here, I felt like you weren't that person.
18:04And not that that's a bad thing.

18:17What changed for you?
18:19I came in, honestly, very broken.

18:30And so I just didn't, quite frankly, have the energy to read people and be fierce.
18:36And I tried.
18:37I really did.
18:38I tried to be someone who was fiery and spicy and gonna shake things up a bit.
18:42But I realized that these people aren't my enemies.
18:45And that's how I've gone through life is like other drag artists,
18:48other queer people are like almost enemies to me.
18:50And at this point, I just fell in love with everybody.
18:52And I couldn't bring myself to fake it.
18:55Yeah, it's interesting because you seem very passionate
18:58about who you felt Satana was before you got here.
19:03What attracted you to a combustible attitude like that initially?
19:08A lot of people had hurt me and abandoned me at that point.
19:10So my natural reflex was just to attack and to be catty, I guess.
19:15When I came back after episode one, feeling the love from everybody took those walls down
19:21completely.
19:21And that really, like, was so monumental for me.
19:25So do you think genuinely the people on this stage just sincerely and truly
19:32think each other are great and perfect and we love each other?
19:36Do you think that that's the case?

19:44I think there's sort of like a social politeness that's involved.

23:34I want to move on to another dearly departed soul who left us too soon, and that's Jarvis
23:39Hammer.
23:40Jarvis, we were so excited that not one, but two drag kings auditioned this season who are
23:45not only incredibly on brand for the show, but also so incredibly talented.
23:49Now, traditionally, drag kings are not featured on drag competition shows, outside of bars,
23:54of course.
23:54And I remember you both saying it was important to you to show audiences that drag kings were
23:59fun.
24:00I have a serious question for you.
24:02Do you both feel like you did that during your time here?
24:07I would have liked more time.
24:09I would have liked to have gotten to that comedy writing challenge, I'll tell you what.
24:15But I guess thing one and thing two got me.
24:17I think both of us took this competition and the privilege of being here to represent kings and
24:23things very seriously.
24:24So I think we were a bit more work than pleasure, but no regrets.

25:25So while I normally have the confidence of a mediocre white man, I do occupy the body of
25:31somebody with a crippling anxiety disorder and I just, I got in my head.
25:36When you go perform somewhere, how do you sort of handle that anxiety?

25:46So is that something that you use regularly?

25:54Because I think a lot of people, especially in the world that we live in today, deal with anxiety.
25:59And some people, severe anxiety that actually affects their ability to go chase their dreams

26:04Is it something that you work on?
26:06Do you like go to therapy for it or things like that?
26:09I do, um, but it's a lifelong disease.
26:12Um, it's not something I can never truly escape as much as I like to escape reality by allowing a
26:19ghost to enter this body.
26:21Does Jarvis give you a shield in that sense?

48:24and started making sure that I was just enjoying my life without alcohol.

50:42finding it. It just made so much sense to me. It felt right when I saw the show,
50:48and it felt right when I got here, and it felt right when I got into the top four,
50:53and it's going to feel completely right when I'm crowned. And I've had such a great time.
