The Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum is previewing five new galleries ahead of their July 1 opening, marking the 50th anniversary of its National Mall building and the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.

The new galleries include “Living in the Space Age,” “How Things Fly,” “Jay I. Kislak World War II in the Air,” the “US National Science Foundation Discovering Our Universe” gallery and the Flight and the Arts Center.

The galleries will feature returning features including the Hubble Space Telescope, Skylab, a North American P-51D Mustang and a Lockheed U-2. Newer additions to the Washington building include Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket, a Cessna Skyhawk and the T-38 flown by Jackie Cochran, the first woman to break the sound barrier.
