00:00Well, we saw the social media video, you know, Fox 1, Indeed, they posted the social media video online.
00:05And, you know, as for me, I saw it and immediately, you know, had to get the phone out without
00:11a video real quick.
00:12So, so, yeah, post the video, made sure to apply on Indeed as well.
00:18And, you know, after weeks, weeks of hearing nothing, you know, I get an email from, from Fox, I believe.
00:25And it's like, oh, can we meet with you for, for like a, like an interview?
00:29And I'm like, oh, okay, well, yeah, that's cool.
00:32And then next day, you know, meet with some good people.
00:36They like my personality.
00:37And, you know, Thursday, got the job.
00:39By Sunday, I was here in New York City.
00:41I applied through Indeed, and I made a short little video pitching myself.
00:47I did a Simpsons parody video, which was a lot of fun.
00:52And they, you know, set up an interview with me.
00:56And then I did a couple rounds of interviews.
00:58And for whatever reason, they thought that I would be one of the two guys for the job.
01:01And, you know, I, I think we've done a pretty good job at sitting on the couch.

01:05I don't even know, man.
01:07People say they see a lot of stuff in me that I don't, I don't know.
01:09Like I said, I'm a pessimist.
01:10I'm sorry.
01:11That's my, that's me by nature.
01:13But, um, I don't know.
01:14I think it's just the fact that, you know, I'm, I'm just a chill person.
01:17I'm a cool presence.
01:18And obviously I like football.
01:20I like soccer.
01:21So, yeah, just all that came into effect.
01:24So I think that's why I got the job, to be honest.
01:27I guess just the fact that I was willing to sit in a box in Times Square.
01:30Um, and, you know, um, no, but I, you know, I've been making content for a long time, um,
01:36and have, uh, a good amount of football content as well.
01:39And I think they thought that I'd be a good person to, you know, promote this World Cup here
01:45in America.
01:45I have.
01:46Yeah.
01:46I grew up playing soccer.
01:47I think I was like three when I first started playing.
01:50And then, um, my girlfriend's whole family is like a huge football family.
01:55She played in college.
01:57Her sister plays professionally in Europe now.
01:59And, uh, her dad played professionally as well.
02:01So I've been kind of inundated with, uh, you know, uh, football left and right for, for
02:06a long time now.
02:07Yeah.
02:07For me, myself, um, you know, always grew up around the game.
02:10So it was, you know, whether it was playing, whether it was playing video games or watching
02:15it, you know, I was always around it.
02:16So it has been a significant part of my life as well.
02:19Yeah.
02:19So, you know, I was just working in a restaurant.
02:21Um, you know, that was my thing.
02:23And, you know, you get the call, you get, uh, that, you know, Hey, we want to fly you
02:27out to New York to do something that's never been done before.
02:30So obviously you have to drop what you're doing and, you know, take the opportunity that
02:34lays before you.
02:35Um, I've been a full-time content creator since November.
02:37So this was like the perfect opportunity for me to be able to make content around the
02:42World Cup.
02:43Oh, okay.
02:44I, um, my heart has been captured by Brazil.
02:49Actually, the, um, one of the first days we were here, about a hundred thousand Brazilians
02:54came to Times Square and they were walking by this box.
02:58And I was like, I'm just going to go and see where they take me.
03:01And I joined them and we were doing chants.
03:03They had a giant flag and somebody saw me and said, hold it, hold it.
03:07And I, I'm holding up the flag and this guy taps me on the shoulder.
03:11He goes, you're Brazilian now.
03:12And I'm like, I'm like, you mean it?
03:13And he's like, yes, you're Brazilian.
03:15And then another guy put a Jersey in my chest and I was, and he goes, this is for you.
03:21And I'm like, I can keep this.
03:22And he goes, yeah, that's, that's for you.
03:25He was like, I love your, your energy.
03:27Your, you know, your spirit, it's very, your spirit is very Brazilian.
03:31And I was like, well, thank you.
03:33I'm like, what a compliment.
03:34And, uh, the Jersey he gave me was a Brazilian ultras Jersey, which is obviously their fan
03:39supporter group.
03:40So like, that was a huge honor that one of the ultras was like, I want you to have my
03:45ultras Jersey.
03:47Um, and they've been around for a bunch of our matches.
03:51I think there was one match where they, they came here and there were about a thousand
03:55Brazilians watching with us.
03:57So I've just been complete.
03:59My heart has just been captured by the country of Brazil and I love their spirit and their
04:05energy and, um, yeah, they're, they're amazing.
04:07So Brazil is, Brazil is the answer of who's captured my heart.
04:10Um, it's kind of hard just to pick one.
04:12I mean, um, seeing all the, all the different countries that have been represented in this
04:17world cup, you know, come through New York city, it's, you know, they've been so warm
04:21and accommodating that, you know, it's kind of, like I said, it's hard to choose just one.
04:25You know, we've had great crowds here learning something new about countries each and every
04:29match.
04:29So, uh, I'm sorry.
04:31I can't just pick one, obviously, obviously I'm Ghanaian by, uh, by heritage.
04:35So I got to go with Ghana obviously as well.
04:37Got to shout them out.
04:38Um, I, I think I'm not just for the sake of this, I'm not just saying this, but I think
04:42Spain is going to win the world cup.
04:44In my opinion, I've been saying this, I've been saying this.

04:51I love all those guys that have been brought up through the Barcelona system.
04:55Um, so yeah, Spain, they got my heart too, but all the other countries do as well.

04:59Like I said, I'm not trying to, you know, trying to play favorites just because we were
05:03with a Spanish article right now, but the Spain Capo Verde game was, was amazing in
05:08my opinion, even though, um, what is it?
05:11Spain didn't, uh, score any goals.
05:12It was amazing to see, uh, Capo Verde, um, not concede any goals at the same time.
05:18So it was, you know, it was a great match watching a big nation versus a smaller nation,
05:23David versus Goliath.
05:24So yeah, just watching that game was pretty cool.

05:28I think that's the best match we've seen so far this, this tournament.
