00:01Iran launched fresh strikes on Bahrain and Kuwait in retaliation for strikes launched
00:06by the US. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared his country's agreement
00:14with Lebanon a blow to Iran and Hezbollah, while the militant group's leader declared it void.
00:21Iran launched fresh strikes on Bahrain and Kuwait early on Sunday in retaliation for
00:27strikes launched by the US on the Islamic Republic, further straining negotiations to end the war.
00:33US Central Command said it struck Iranian military targets following an attack on a
00:38ship in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday. Iran's Revolutionary Guard said on Sunday they were
00:44taking measures to control traffic in the vital strait and that violating vessels would be dealt
00:49with more firmly than before. It comes after a multinational maritime body overseen by the US
00:55Navy said Saturday that it would expand a route near Oman in the Strait of Hormuz to allow for
01:01inbound and outbound traffic. Sunday strikes follow a similar back and forth that occurred
01:06just days prior when an Iranian drone struck a merchant vessel off the coast of Oman on Thursday
01:12and the US military retaliated with strikes. The exchanges underscore the fragility of a
01:18Pakistan-brokered peace process that led to a memorandum of understanding between the United
01:23States and Iran reached in mid-June. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed a trilateral
01:35framework agreement signed on Friday by Lebanon, Israel and the US aimed at achieving a peace deal
01:40between the two neighboring countries. The agreement, reached after five rounds of talks in Washington,
01:47includes a trial plan for Lebanese soldiers to take control of two areas held by Israel and a process
01:52to disarm Hezbollah. Hezbollah's leader denounced the agreement, declaring it void after calling
01:58it humiliating, shameful and a surrender of sovereignty. Israeli Defense Minister Israel
02:04Qatts insisted that the country's troops would be able to stay in Lebanon so long as Hezbollah
02:09remained armed.

02:57129 drones and ballistic missiles targeted processing facilities belonging to the state-owned

03:12of Sami left 13 people injured, including two children. Further attacks were confirmed in the
03:17Dnipropetrovsk and Sami regions, where a strike on Zaporizhia partially destroyed a high-rise building.
03:22For its part, Ukraine deployed its own long-range capabilities, launching domestic Flamingo cruise
03:28missiles deep into Russian territory to strike the tightened Barakady military plant in Volgograd.
03:34Ukrainian strikes on Russian-occupied territory and inside Russia killed one and injured 10,
03:39according to Moscow. Simultaneously, the security service of Ukraine executed a separate drone
03:44operation targeting Russia's Vitorova oil pumping station.
03:51Record-breaking June temperatures are sweeping across northern and eastern Europe,
03:57leading authorities to cancel concerts and other public events over health risks. Authorities across
04:03the Netherlands are taking additional precautionary measures, such as urging motorists to avoid
04:10unnecessary travel. A record high temperature in Germany was recorded provisionally at 41.3 degrees
04:17in the south-western city of Subrokin. In Paris, temperatures have reached up to 39 degrees,
04:24leading to a public drinking ban over the weekend, while the city's Saturday Pride march has been postponed
04:31due to the heatwave. Meanwhile, nearly 800 flights from Heathrow and Gatwick airports have been delayed on
04:38Saturday as the heatwave turns to thunderstorms. According to the Copernicus Climate Service,
04:44Europe is the fastest warming continent, heating up twice as fast as the global average.
