In this video, I'll show how to fix Steam download speed slow, speed up Steam downloads, increase Steam games download speed, fix low download speed on Steam.

If you have watched my other video, "How to Fix Steam Not Downloading Games", you'll notice some of the solutions are shared between the two videos, because some of the solutions work for both problems. Additionally, this video of "How to Fix Slow Download Speed on Steam" also features how to change Steam download region, and how to change Ethernet settings, which are specific to the slow download speed problem solution.

Press the WINDOWS key or click on the WINDOWS icon
Write "cmd"
Right-click command prompt
Click "Run as administrator"
Write: ipconfig /flushdns
Press ENTER
Write: netsh winsock reset
Press ENTER

Press the WINDOWS key or click on the WINDOWS icon
Write "disk clean"
Click on "Disk Cleanup"
Select the disk where you install your games
Click on OK
Select all of the options
Click on OK

Right-click on Steam
Click on "Exit Steam"
Press the WINDOWS key or click on the WINDOWS icon
Write: Run
Click on Run
Write: steam://flushconfig
Click on OK

Press the WINDOWS key or click on the WINDOWS icon
Write: Windows Security
Click on Windows Securit
Click on Virus & Threat Protection
In Virus & Threat Protection Settings, click on Manage Settings
Scroll down
In Exclusions, click on Add or Remove Exclusions
Click on Add an exclusion
Select Folder
Choose the Steam folder
Click on Select Folder

Open the Steam folder
Select Steam
Right-click on Steam
Click on Properites
Click on Compatibility
Check the option "Run this program as administrator"
Click on Apply
Click on OK

Right-click on an empty space in your task bar
Click on Task Manager
Right-click on Steam
Click on Go to Details
Right-click "steam.exe"
Click on Set Priority
Click on "Real Time"

Click on the Internet connection icon in your computer
Click on Internet Settings
Click on Ethernet
Pay attention to "Metered Connection", and make sure that metered connection is turned off

Open Steam
In the top-left corner of the screen, click on Steam
Click on Settings
Click on Downloads
In Download Region, click to show the options
Choose a region which is close to where you are in the world

Open Steam
In the top-left corner of the screen, click on Steam
Click on Settings
Click on Downloads
Scroll down to see more options
In Steam Download Cache, click on Clear Cache

Open Steam
In the top-left corner of the screen, click on Steam
Click on Settings
Click on Storage
Choose the drive in which you have your games installed
Click on the three dots: ...
Click on Repair Library

01:24In Virus and Threat Protection settings, click on Manage Settings.
01:30Scroll down.
01:33In Exclusions, click on Add or Remove Exclusions.
01:38Click on Add an Exclusion.
01:41And choose Folder.
01:43And make sure to select the Steam Folder.
01:48And click on Select Folder.
01:51Open the Steam Folder.
01:54Select Steam.
01:55Right-click it.
01:56Click on Properties.
01:58Click on Compatibility.
02:00And check the option to run this program as Administrator.
02:04Click on Apply.
02:06Click on OK.
02:06Right-click in an empty space in your taskbar.
02:11And click on Task Manager.
02:15Right-click on Steam.
02:16And click on Go to Details.
02:20Right-click on Steam X.
02:22And click on Set Priority.
02:27And choose Real Time.
02:30And confirm.
02:33Right-click the Internet icon on your computer.
02:36And click on Internet Settings.
02:39Click on Ethernet.
02:41And make sure that Meter Connection is turned off.
02:45Open Steam.
02:46In the top left corner.
02:49Click on Steam.
02:50Click on Settings.
02:52Click on Downloads.
02:54And pay attention to Download Region.
02:57And click to show the options.
02:59Choose the option you want.
03:02And click on Restart Now.
03:04Click on Steam.
03:06Click on Settings.
03:07Click on Downloads.
03:10Scroll down.
03:13In Clear Download Cache.
03:14Click on Clear Cache.
03:16And confirm.
03:18Click on Storage.
03:20Choose the drive in which you have your games installed.
03:24Click on the three dots.
03:26And click on Repair Library.
