00:00There was this song from the Hindi movie, Kati Patan, and the lyrics ran something like this
00:07Na koi umang hai, na koi tarang hai, meri zindagi hai kya ek kati patang hai
00:12And there is the actress, and I couldn't just help wonder, if I remember the scene is set at night
00:21The place where she is singing is a clean, well-kept place
00:28The singer, the woman, is young, healthy, also looks educated
00:32Nothing looks wrong with her, but she is in deep grief
00:37When I look at the screen, I wonder, who told her that there is something wrong with her?
00:43I don't know who did, but she is absolutely convinced that life is a kati patang
00:49Absolutely, that's the ego
00:50You will not know why you are upset, but you will be upset
00:54You know why you are upset?
00:56Because there exists somebody within to be upset
01:00That's the real reason
01:02And you are looking for an external cause
01:06There has to be something in the environment that's upsetting me
01:10A fictitious, delusionary entity is sitting within
01:15Hell-bent to remain upset
01:18And that is the only reason you are upset
