I'm confused, her and Asher seemed happy in those scenes. Both families were shit, so it's not like she's giving Poppy some completely worse situation, just poor and with Asher. Poppy also already knew Asher was a horrible guy, so that wouldn't be a surprised for her either? She just wanted to marry to be rich so she wouldn't care anyway. Confused by this one, their lives seem awful in either life?
