00:00:00Edo State Governor, Monday Okpepolo has said the state government will set up special court for criminal proceedings in line
00:00:07with the existing laws for suspected secret cult members and kidnappers to be conducted within two or three weeks maximum,
00:00:14and if anyone is found guilty and sentenced to death accordingly, he will sign the death warrant and bring the
00:00:21condemned criminal or criminals to popular Ring Road area in Benin City for public execution so that such action will
00:00:28serve as deterrent to others.
00:00:30The governor who probably have a good working relationship with one of the former governors of the state that started
00:00:36the recent execution of condemned criminals,
00:00:40Adams Oshomhole made this known on Thursday when he visited the headquarters of the Edo State Command of the Nigeria
00:00:46Police Force wherein some suspected kidnappers allegedly behind the shooting and abduction of a woman at a popular vegetable market
00:00:54along Airport Road in Benin City last Sunday were paraded before the governor and the press.
00:01:00According to the governor, I will set up a special court to try cultists and kidnappers within two or three
00:01:06weeks and if found guilty, I would have no regret to sign their warrants,
00:01:10they would be executed at the Ring Road for others to learn a lesson, don't take my simplicity for granted,
00:01:16for the record, the last time death warrant was signed and condemned criminals executed in Edo State,
00:01:22took place around 6 a.m. on December 23, 2016, few weeks after the then governor of Edo State, Godwin
00:01:31Obaseki took overpower and was then still in good working relationship with ex-governor Adam Zoshomhole.
00:01:37Three death row inmates were executed by hanging, namely, Ogbomero Omeregi, Apostle Ijean, and Mark Omisohota and the execution took
00:01:47place at the Oko Prison of the Nigerian Correctional Service.
00:01:51The inmates had originally been sentenced to death by military tribunals under the robbery and firearms decree during the era
00:01:58of military rule in Nigeria.
00:02:00Godwin Obaseki carried out the executions despite condemnation from human rights groups, such as the Legal Defense and Assistance Project,
00:02:09led up, who thus petitioned the governor for a stay of execution, saying,
00:02:13These earmarked prisoners were sentenced by military tribunals under the robbery and firearms, special provisions, decree 1971 as amended, in
00:02:23which there was no right of appeal.
00:02:25We have filed an appeal pending at the Court of Lagos seeking order that these prisoners have right of appeal
00:02:31under the 1999 Constitution.
00:02:34Death penalty is not universally prohibited but the second optional protocol to the United Nations International Covenant on Civil and
00:02:42Political Rights on Prohibition of the Use of the Death Penalty
00:02:46asked state parties to amend their laws to abolish death as sentence for crime, not all states have ratified the
00:02:53protocol, to sign a treaty does not bind the state until it is ratified, Nigeria has not signed it,
00:03:00it would be recalled that before the 2016 last execution of condemned criminals in the state,
00:03:05The immediate past and first execution in Edo state since Nigeria returned to democratic rule in 1999 occurred on June
00:03:1524, 2013,
00:03:17when former Governor Adams Oshionhole signed the warrants to hang four inmates,
00:03:23Chima Ejiofor, Daniel Insofa, Oseren Windu Aguokan, and Richard Aguagou, at the Benin City Custodial Center along Sapole Road.
00:03:32The execution was the first in Nigeria since the last incident in 2006 after the then Kano state governor,
00:03:40Ibrahim Shekarao approved and carried out the execution of seven condemned criminals,
00:03:45Oshionhole action faced a lot of backlash from human rights community,
00:03:50Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice,
00:03:53Anege reiterated that the death penalty is an inhumane form of punishment
00:03:57and continued to advocate that Nigeria's laws should be amended to replace
00:04:02capital punishment with life imprisonment, even for high-level offenses like corruption,
00:04:08while Amnesty International declared the executions, a truly dark day for human rights in Nigeria,
00:04:14and criticized Oshionhole for ignoring the pending judicial appeal processes,
00:04:19this, other human rights organizations filed appeals and public campaigns,
00:04:24urging the Edo state government to halt the execution of the inmates because their legal options were not fully exhausted,
00:04:32but all to no avail as the condomined criminals were still executed,
00:04:36defending his action, the then governor Oshionhole said,
00:04:39I have no apologies because I did not sentence them to death,
00:04:43I am not the one who accused them,
00:04:45they were accused by those they harassed,
00:04:47they have been tried,
00:04:49they have taken advantage of the appellate courts all the way to the Supreme Court and they were found guilty,
00:04:54the law also says having been found guilty and sentenced to death,
00:04:58the governor could exercise prerogative of mercy,
00:05:01but I say that I have no mercy on those who kill,
00:05:04why should you compel me to have mercy on those who kill,
00:05:07in this battle of values,
00:05:09we must not behave as if some other people's values are superior to ours,
00:05:13if you feel that those who kill in your country should have right to life
00:05:16and we believe in our country that those who kill should be killed and those are reflected in our laws,
00:05:21until you reverse those laws,
00:05:23those laws will apply,
00:05:25if you tell me that the man who killed has a right to life,
00:05:28I refuse that,
00:05:30amnesty should not be hypocritical about it,
00:05:33we have the records worldwide,
00:05:35nations are governed by the national values
00:05:37and it is debatable whether those who excuse murderers in the eyes of God are better human beings than those
00:05:43who insist that if you kill,
00:05:45you too should be killed if found guilty of killing,
00:05:47I don't believe that those who want to excuse murderers are on a higher moral ground,
00:05:52it is not about conviction but about whether I choose to exercise prerogative of mercy,
00:05:58God can have mercy on them,
00:05:59but I am unable having regard to the overall circumstances of the case,
00:06:04which are killing and dismembering the body of the victim and wanting to sell some of the parts,
00:06:09and some people ask me in the name of human rights to let him live,
00:06:13no,
00:06:13if those saying that were to be victims of such brutality,
00:06:17they would also think otherwise,
00:06:19it is very convenient for them to sit in the comfort of their offices and pontificate about human rights,
00:06:24as if the rights of the victims are not supposed to be taken into account.
00:06:29Parading the suspects,
00:06:30the police said the woman kidnapped at the vegetable market was rescued
00:06:34but one of the suspects in a video confession said the woman was released after the family paid 8 million
00:06:40nairas ransom,
00:06:41according to the suspect who identified himself as a 32-year-old marvelous Isaac from Aquarebomb state,
00:06:49the ransom money was shared among themselves and some parts given to leaders of a particular community around Akenwin Road
00:06:56Axis,
00:06:57saying,
00:06:57they gave some parts of the money to the community leaders because the community guns and bullets were parts of
00:07:03the weapons they used in carrying out the crime.
00:07:06Police said another suspect was killed during an exchange of gunfire with the security operatives.
00:07:12According to the police,
00:07:14items recovered from the suspects include a red Lexus ix 350 allegedly used for the operation,
00:07:21a pump-action shotgun,
00:07:23live cartridges,
00:07:24a motorcycle and over 2 million naira suspected to be proceeds from the crime,
00:07:29including ransom paid by the victim's family.
00:07:32Adding,
00:07:33investigations are ongoing as efforts intensified to track down other members of the kidnapping syndicate.
00:07:39Governor Munday Okpebholo gave a cash reward estimated to be more than 10 million nairas to the police offices that
00:07:46participated in the special.
00:07:48Operations,
00:07:49Verbatim,
00:07:50Governor Okpebholo said,
00:07:52Today at the Edo State Police Command Headquarters,
00:07:55I reaffirmed my administration's unwavering commitment to securing our state and protecting law-abiding citizens.
00:08:02Following the kidnapping incident at the vegetable market in Benin City,
00:08:06I directed security agencies to go after the perpetrators.
00:08:11I am pleased that one suspect has been arrested,
00:08:14another was neutralized during the operation,
00:08:17while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining members of the gang.
00:08:21Let me be clear,
00:08:22Edo State will not be a safe haven for kidnappers, cultists, and other criminals.
00:08:27We are taking decisive steps to strengthen our justice system and ensure that anyone found guilty of these heinous crimes
00:08:35faces the full weight of the law.
00:08:37I also commended and rewarded the police offices whose professionalism and bravery led to the arrest of the suspect.
00:08:44Their dedication reflects the results we can achieve when government and security agencies work together with purpose.
00:08:52I urge all Edo people to remain vigilant and continue providing useful information to security agencies.
00:08:59Together, we will make Edo safer, stronger, and more prosperous for everyone.
00:09:04In an earlier event, Governor Okpebolo said criminals in the state are the ones recruiting people from outside the state
00:09:11to come and commit crime in the state.
00:09:14Calling on members of the Christian community never to beg police to set free any SSO arrested for any kind
00:09:21of sime in the state.
00:09:22Yesterday, at the Christian Association of Nigeria Ministers Conference in Benin City,
00:09:29I reiterated a message that remains central to our administration's agenda.
00:09:34The security of lives and property is non-negotiable.
00:09:37My administration is deploying every available resource and working closely with security agencies to ensure that criminal elements have no
00:09:45place in Edo state.
00:09:47Anyone found engaging in kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, or any other criminal activity will face the full weight of the
00:09:55law.
00:09:56However, security is not the responsibility of government alone.
00:10:01It is a collective duty.
00:10:02I urge all Edo people to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies.
00:10:08If you see something, say something.
00:10:11Timely information can help prevent crime and save lives.
00:10:14Together, we will continue to build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Edo state for all, Governor Okkabolo stated.
00:10:24Now we are going to set up a special court to try to kill our past and cultists.
00:10:31Within two weeks, three weeks, we are done with it.
00:10:35And I will sign it.
00:10:37The execution, tanking, I will take you to the roundabout.
00:10:41That is Ringo, Governor Okkabolo, that is in goal, Edo people will see you.
00:10:47And this, I will not have any regret about it.
00:10:50So please, don't take my security for granted.
00:10:55We are in the bush day and night to make sure that these criminals do not settle down in this
00:11:02state.
00:11:03We are arresting people every now and then.
00:11:06Even yesterday night, before yesterday night, three nights ago, criminals have been arrested.
00:11:12But one thing is this.
00:11:14Our own people are also now getting involved.
00:11:17In Eko Ma this morning, people that were arrested were not Fulani.
00:11:22I told Rumi three nights ago, somebody that was arrested is never a Fulani man.
00:11:29Somewhere in Eora, somebody that was arrested were never Fulani.
00:11:33But do you know one funny thing is that our people will now go to the north to go and
00:11:37recruit people to come here to help them do the job.
00:11:41They will denounce somebody and give it to them in the woods.
00:11:44Why tomorrow you will see them driving an expensive car?
00:11:47You will see them doing this.
00:11:49You will see them building houses.
00:11:51Pastors, I want to beg you in the name of God.
00:11:54Please, when you hear that I get somebody, don't come to beg me.
00:11:59Because our land must be saved.
00:12:00By the grace of God, a dome must be saved.
00:12:07The cartridge will not aid due to the operation.
00:12:09Do you remember where you keep it?
00:12:11We are not forgotten.

00:12:32They let carry them.
00:12:33They feature a hold.
00:12:34They drag them.
00:12:35They assign the power.
00:12:37I want to beg you.
00:12:39I want to beg you.
00:12:40I want to beg you.
00:12:41See my next door?
00:12:43Man sat there.

00:22:07To the occasion, continuing, Reverend David Yugola thanked engineer Richard Amade, who offered heartfelt
00:22:15prayers and words of encouragement during the celebrations. Saying, alongside his beloved wife,
00:22:21Mrs. Barbara Amade, they both contributed immensely to the spiritual upliftment and joyful atmosphere of
00:22:28the gathering. Adding, their support, prayers, and goodwill were deeply appreciated by all.
00:22:35While thanking Mr. and Mrs. Steve Amaregi for jointly hosting the celebrants, Reverend David Yugola said the

00:25:51a tricycle rider who is also said to be an ex-police officer of an elderly age,
00:25:56a more devastating tragedy was apparently averted on May 27, 2026 at the Samuel Ogbamudia Stadium
00:26:04during the 2026 Children's Day celebration when some security operatives used pepper spray on
00:26:12school children who came for the celebration, an action capable of causing death but the chief
00:26:18medical director, Edo Specialist Hospital, Dr. Antonia Njoku denied and dismissed the claims
00:26:24that about five children died as a result of the incident, and the Edo command of the Nigeria
00:26:29police force in a press statement failed to state if there was any death casualty or not,
00:26:34but stated that four persons including the seller of the pepper spray chemical substance have been
00:26:40arrested and detained in connection with the Children's Day incident, adding that, the
00:26:45policeman who caused the death of the tricycle rider has been in detention waiting to be
00:26:49arraigned for possible act of murder, this, our research study shows that the less lethal weapon
00:26:55of chemical substances like tear gas and pepper spray may be seen as an act of deliberate murder
00:27:01or attempted murder if used on a closed range, enclosed environment like hall, big or small
00:27:07because the chemical substances from our assessment are meant only to be used on a long range open
00:27:13air outdoor spaces where people have alternatives means to run and leave the contaminated areas and
00:27:20in line with global standard on the use of the chemical substances, tear gas is never meant to be
00:27:25used on vulnerable populations or individuals with medical conditions, as international bodies like
00:27:32the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, OHCHR and health organizations warn it
00:27:39it can cause permanent injury, severe complications, or death, in addition, the chemical causes instant
00:27:45airway constriction that can trigger fatal respiratory failure in people with asthma or COPD, a severe risk that
00:27:53prompted the American Thoracic Society, ATS to call for a total moratorium on its use, because,
00:28:00simultaneously, the intense physical stress can induce cardiac arrest in those with heart disease,
00:28:06as documented by Physicians for Human Rights, PHR, and according to strict deployment standards
00:28:13from Amnesty International, infants and young children face significantly higher risks because
00:28:18their developing lungs breathe faster, and heavy gas vapors settle near the ground, pregnant individuals
00:28:25face severe risks of premature labor or miscarriage, a danger highlighted in field reports by National Nurses
00:28:32United and Reproductive Toxicology data published by the National Institutes of Health, NIH, also,
00:28:40the elderly suffer prolonged tissue damage due to a reduced physical ability to flee, and finally,
00:28:46the American Lung Association warns that people with eye conditions, especially contact lens wearers,
00:28:52can suffer chemical burns and permanent vision loss from trapped toxins, illegally, while the Chemical
00:28:58Weapons Convention, CWC permits domestic law enforcement usage, the UN guidance on less lethal weapons
00:29:06explicitly dictates that police operations must give special consideration to these protected groups
00:29:11to avoid unlawful, disproportionate force. According to some residents who witnessed the incident,
00:29:18the commercial tricycle operator, Matthew Okubo was killed by the serving police officer at Ossibor Lane
00:29:24around Uelu section in Aguida area of Benin City, the Edo state capital when the policeman allegedly used
00:29:30the tear gas on him at a very closed range over a minor argument. The killing prompted the commercial
00:29:37tricycle operators, popularly known as KK riders in the area to protest and block some sections of
00:29:44the Uelu road in the Aguida quarters, demanding justice for their slain colleague. It was gathered that
00:29:50the victim was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead thereafter. Edo state command of the Nigeria
00:29:56police force in a press statement issued on June 1, 2026 and made available by the command public relations
00:30:03officer, ASP Eno Akiodom stated that, the Edo state police command has expressed grave concern over the increasing
00:30:12proliferation, unauthorized possession, and unlawful use of restricted security accoutrements such as pepper spray,
00:30:18tear gas canisters, and other force related equipment by private individuals, bounces, vigilantes,
00:30:25and unauthorized security outfits within the state. It frowns on the use of such items without proper training,
00:30:33or regard for public safety, thereby endangering innocent lives and creating avoidable public disorder.
00:30:39It would be recalled that on the 25th of May 2026, a police officer attached to the command unlawfully
00:30:46discharged tear gas at Aguida, Benin City, an incident which unfortunately led to the loss of a
00:30:52life. The officer involved was immediately arrested and subjected to disciplinary and criminal procedures
00:30:58in line with extant laws. Similarly, on the 27th of May 2026, during the Children's Day celebration
00:31:06held at the Samuel Ogbamudia Stadium, Benin City, pepper spray was unlawfully discharged within the
00:31:13stadium premises by private bouncers, causing panic and affecting several children and other attendees
00:31:19at the event. Following diligent investigation into the incident, the command has arrested three
00:31:25bouncers connected to the unlawful act, namely, Afeni John Paul, aged 36 years, Ola Ibukunle, aged 46 years,
00:31:34Onaha Chukuoji, aged 33 years. Further investigation also led to the arrest of one Mrs. Rebecca Hassan,
00:31:44alleged to be the supplier, seller of the pepper spray used during the incident. The command views
00:31:50the unauthorized use of such devices as assault, or acts capable of causing grievous harm, and in certain
00:31:56circumstances, death. Consequently, unlawful possession of these items with intent to commit felony and other
00:32:04related offenses is viewed as criminal under the law. In view of the foregoing, the Edo State Police
00:32:10Command hereby issues a stern warning to all individuals, private security personnel, bounces,
00:32:17vigilante groups, and unauthorized organizations in possession of pepper spray, tear gas, or related
00:32:24restricted security equipment to immediately desist from such unlawful possession and usage. Henceforth,
00:32:30any person found in possession of such prohibited or unauthorized police, security accoutrements,
00:32:37including sellers, distributors, and suppliers, will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
00:32:42The Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, CP Munday Agbonica, FDC, reassures residents that the
00:32:51command remains committed to protecting the rights of citizens and will not tolerate any act capable of
00:32:56threatening public peace and safety within the state. Meanwhile, on the Children's Day tragedy,
00:33:02the office of the Press Secretary to the Edo State Governor in a press release issued on May 28,
00:33:082026 and made available by Patrick Akira-Bajale, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,
00:33:15the Chief Medical Director, Edo Specialist Hospital, Dr. Antonia Njoku, has clarified the social media reports
00:33:22alleging that five pupils died during the Children's Day celebration at the Samuel Ogbamudia Stadium.
00:33:28Njoku made the clarification on Thursday in Benin, while addressing newsmen.
00:33:34Yesterday, May 27, we were called in for an emergency response and we responded swiftly and appropriately to
00:33:41some of the children which were evacuated by our ambulance to our facility.
00:33:46Resuscitation measures started immediately and to God be the glory, we have no casualty,
00:33:51the children are all stable and we want to. Thank our Governor for his continuous support, she said,
00:33:58speaking on why the children were seen on the floor of the hospital, Njoku explained that they
00:34:03placed them on the floor for an effective resuscitation which some of the children needed.
00:34:08You needed to put some of these children on hard surfaces to be able to resuscitate them,
00:34:13that's why we even have some of them on the floor, our goal at that point was to make sure
00:34:18that there was no casualty. We want to use this medium to thank our able Governor for his passion
00:34:24for children, she added. In her response, the Coordinator, Office of the First Lady of Edo,
00:34:31Mrs. Edisili Okpepolo Anani, noted that she was at the hospital on a fact-finding mission concerning
00:34:37the incident that happened during the Children's Day celebration.
00:34:41I have had a conversation with the CMD, the children are fine and they have been discharged
00:34:47and we are happy. I want to thank the management of the hospital for their swift response.
00:34:52The Governor would have loved to be here, but he is out for other official engagements. He had
00:34:57directed that I should come on my fact-finding mission to see what is happening, she said.
00:35:03She, however, described what happened during the Children's Day celebration as unfortunate,
00:35:09but the good news was that response came fast, adding that safety of our children remains the
00:35:14priority of this administration. Also present at the hospital was the Special Advisor to the Governor
00:35:20on Health, Dr. Iyamu and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Ebermoni.
00:35:27In earlier press release issued on May 27, 2026, Eberjile stated that,
00:35:33the Edo state government wishes to address some misleading social media narratives about today's
00:35:38Children's Day incident at the Samuel Ogbamudia Stadium. We hereby reject the sensational
00:35:44interpretations, spins, twists, and misinformation that were dubiously orchestrated to give the
00:35:51government a bad name. The stadium was filled to capacity with thousands of excited children who
00:35:57came to participate in the day's activities. The turnout was unprecedented. All the entrances into
00:36:03the facility were opened for children to access the stadium. Some excited children resorted to
00:36:09unruly behavior at one of the gates, an incident that led to some kind of stampede which necessitated
00:36:15one of the bouncers to deploy the use of tear gas to disperse them. In the cause of the pandemonium
00:36:21that
00:36:22ensued, few students sustained injuries. The deputy governor, Right Honorable Dennis Idahosa who was
00:36:29physically present at the stadium, rose to the challenge immediately, assisting children with first
00:36:34aids, and those requiring further care were taken to the Edo specialist hospital where they received
00:36:40appropriate medical attention and are now safely back home with their families. The Edo state government
00:36:46has already authorized investigations into the incident while the bouncer involved is present
00:36:51by the police to ascertain the immediate or remote cause of the incident. The government wishes to
00:36:59restate its commitment to the safety and security of all including our children. We however call on
00:37:05social media users to refrain from unverified narratives that could cause unnecessary panic.
00:37:11Isolated incidents at large gatherings, while regrettable, do not diminish Governor Okpepolo's
00:37:17commitment to child safety and well-being. The governor's unparalleled investment in education
00:37:23is the reason for the huge attendance by students of different schools in the state to celebrate
00:37:28Children's Day. We thank the security personnel, medical staff, and volunteers for their swift response
00:37:35and dedication to duty. Their immediate response helped to douse the tension. However, the American Lung
00:37:42Association in its report on January 20, 2026 stated in part that, crowd control agents
00:37:50often referred to as, tear gas, are chemicals that cause skin, respiratory, and eye irritation.
00:37:57Some of the most common chemicals used are chloroestephenone, CN, which is a toxic air pollutant,
00:38:05chlorobenzididymalononitrile, CS, chloropicrin, PS, bromobenzocyanide, CA and dibenzoxazepine, CR.
00:38:14While tear gas is typically perceived as causing mostly short-term health impacts,
00:38:20there is evidence of permanent disability in some cases. In general, exposure to tear gas can cause chest
00:38:27tightness, coughing, a choking sensation, wheezing and shortness of breath, in addition to a burning
00:38:33sensation in the eyes, mouth and nose, blurred vision and difficulty swallowing. Tear gas can
00:38:40also cause chemical burns, allergic reactions and respiratory distress. People with pre-existing
00:38:46respiratory conditions, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD, have a higher
00:38:53risk of developing severe symptoms of the disease that could lead to respiratory failure. Long-term
00:38:59health effects from tear gas are more likely if exposed for a prolonged period or to a high dose
00:39:04while in an enclosed area. In these instances, it can lead to blindness, glaucoma or respiratory failure
00:39:11possibly resulting in death. If exposed to tear gas, the American Lung Association advises you to
00:39:18immediately distance yourself from the source and seek higher ground, if possible. Flush your eyes with
00:39:25water and use a gentle soap, such as baby shampoo, to wash your face to reduce skin and eye irritation.
00:39:31Cut your clothes off rather than pulling them over your head to remove. Leaving the area immediately
00:39:37for fresh air should help relieve respiratory symptoms you may experience. If you are living with
00:39:43chronic lung disease, or are experiencing lasting or worrisome symptoms, let your health care provider
00:39:49know about your exposure. If breathing trouble persists or worsens, seek medical attention immediately.
00:40:03Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Yumara Zulam may have given a clearer picture and addressed some
00:40:10fundamental issues in the press release issued by the Nigerian Army on Saturday that caused mixed reactions
00:40:16among members of the public, especially Borno youths under the umbrella body of Borno South Youth Alliance.
00:40:23Bosia who had condemned the military for saying in the press release that its men rescued 360 out of
00:40:30the 416 women and children held hostage by the Boko Haram terrorists based on intelligence-driven
00:40:38efforts that made the terrorists to flee and abandoned their victims upon citing the superior
00:40:44power of the men of the armed forces of Nigeria, AFN, with some of the terrorists arrested, but,
00:40:51the State Governor, Babagana Zulam while speaking during his assessment visit to pulka community on
00:40:57Monday, said, 434 victims out of the total numbers of people kidnapped early this year in
00:41:04Ingosh community by the Boko Haram terrorists have regained freedom, specifically stating that,
00:41:11357 captives walked free in the latest coordinated effort, other captives had been released in phases
00:41:17over the preceding months, bringing the total number of freed captives to 434.
00:41:23This, we had reported that youths in Borno State under the umbrella body of Borno South Youth Alliance,
00:41:30Bosia has insisted that the federal government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed
00:41:36Tanubu did nothing to secure the release of the 416 women and children held hostage by Boko Haram
00:41:44terrorists for more than 90 days they were taken into the bush since March 2026. Also, the youth group
00:41:51dismissed and rejected the report of the Nigerian Army who had alleged that its men rescued 360 out of
00:41:59the 416 people held hostage through intelligent driven efforts, saying, they have an audio record
00:42:06of the conversation they had with the Boko Haram terrorists on Friday June 5, 2026 before the Boko
00:42:13Haram terrorists decided to release the captives willingly, adding, if they paid ransom, they should
00:42:19come out and tell Nigerians. Which we have the full details if ransoms was paid or not. As Senator Ali
00:42:26Ndume automatically started thanking President Bola Ahmed Tanubu, is there something Nigerians need
00:42:33to know that is hidden? It may be recalled that we have reported that barely a day after President
00:42:38Donald Trump of the United States of America, the USA announced the killing of Abu Bilal Al-Minuki,
00:42:45the second in command of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, ISIS in a joint operation with Nigeria
00:42:52soldiers in Borno state. A new video of the abducted 416 women and children in Boko Haram captivity has
00:43:00been released in addition to a gory video earlier released by the terrorists wherein they beheaded
00:43:06almost six men who the insurgents said tried to escape among the kidnapped victims. This had led to
00:43:12public outcry and demonstrations. But according to Punch newspaper, protesters are reportedly denied the
00:43:18rights to protest in Mediguri, the Borno state capital, saying, the army reportedly deployed
00:43:24tanks and heavily armed personnel to filling Polo, the venue of the recent planned protest, forcing the
00:43:31demonstrators to withdraw, quoting Samayla Kaigama, leader of the protesters, as saying, the atmosphere
00:43:37created by the military deployment made it impossible for citizens to continue with the demonstration,
00:43:43that the development is deeply disturbing in a constitutional democracy. It may also be
00:43:49recalled that we had reported that President Bola Ahmed Tanubu of Nigeria may have kept mute since
00:43:55more than 48 hours a faction of the Boko Haram terrorists showed off 416 people mostly women and
00:44:02children kidnapped and held hostage when the members of the Jumatu Ali's son Alidawati Wal Jihad,
00:44:08Jihad, launched, launched a large-scale combat actions between 4th to the 6th of March 2026 against the
00:44:16men of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, AFN, overran the Africa country military base at Ingosh,
00:44:24killing several soldiers, a figure the Nigeria authority disputed to be 14 after several reports
00:44:30indicated that more than 40 soldiers were killed during the attack, in addition to more than 100
00:44:36civilians including Chief Iman of Ingosh alongside the community elders killed during the coordinated
00:44:43attacks that lasted days at Ingosh community in Gwoza local government area of Borno state,
00:44:49this, during the attacks, numbers of people were also taken hostage by the insurgents,
00:44:55with speculations indicating that the hostages are apparently being held at the rugged terrain of
00:45:01the Mandara mountains, which sit wide across the Nigeria border with Cameroon,
00:45:05in the released video, one of the spokespersons of the Boko Haram group said they decided to
00:45:11release a proof-of-life video of the 416 women and children in their captivity, following the
00:45:18demands made across to them by the Borno South Youths Alliance, BOSYA, and according to the statement
00:45:24issued by the Bosya when they made the video public on Friday April 10, 2026, the youths group called on
00:45:32federal government and governments at all level to ensure the hostages are released, saying specifically
00:45:38that, we have witnessed cases in states such as Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, and Kedi where abducted
00:45:45victims regained freedom following interventions by individuals such as Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, we therefore
00:45:52expect equal urgency and commitment in addressing the plight of the Ingosh victims. No region or group of
00:45:58citizens should be treated with less priority. Dauda Aliya, the spokesperson and media advisor to the
00:46:04Borno state governor, in a news release he issued and made available some hours ago, said the,
00:46:11Borno state governor, Professor Babagana Umar Azulam, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tanubu for his role
00:46:18in securing the freedom of 434 residents of Ingosh community, who were abducted over a year ago during a
00:46:25violent raid on the town. Speaking in Pulka on Monday, Governor Zulam confirmed that the latest
00:46:31release comprises 357 persons, while approximately 82 others had regained their freedom spontaneously in
00:46:39smaller batches over the period since their abduction. The victims were originally taken from Ingosh,
00:46:45a border town in Duos, a local government area of Borno state, following an attack by suspected
00:46:51Boko Haram insurgents early this year. Zulam particularly praised President Tanubu for his
00:46:57personal intervention and commitment towards restoring peace, which he said accelerated the
00:47:02negotiation and rescue process. I want to express my deepest appreciation, on behalf of the government
00:47:09and people of Borno state and Guoza community in particular, to the president and commander-in-chief of
00:47:15the Nigerian armed forces, Bola Ahmed Tanubu, for all the efforts that he has been making in ensuring
00:47:21the return of peace and stability not only to Borno state but to the entire country, Zulam stated.
00:47:28Zulam also extended commendations to the Nigerian military, the Department of State Services,
00:47:34DSS, and all other security agencies involved in the operation, acknowledging their professionalism and
00:47:41coordination. I also want to use this opportunity to commend the Nigerian armed forces, the Office of
00:47:48the National Security Advisor, the Department of State Security and all other security agencies,
00:47:54including our gallant civilian JTF, forest guards, vigilante and hunters, who have participated
00:48:00immensely in ensuring the release of these abducted men, women and children, Zulam added.
00:48:06He explained that while 357 captives walked free in the latest coordinated effort, other captives
00:48:14have been released in phases over the preceding months, bringing the total number of freed captives
00:48:19to 434. We are here to felicitate with Ingosh community following, the release of the abducted
00:48:26women and children numbering about 434. What we saw this morning is about 360 released two days ago.
00:48:35But some two to three weeks ago, we also received about other persons, totaling about 434, Zulam explained.
00:48:44According to the governor, government has released millions of Naira to rehabilitate the Ingosh community.
00:48:51So far, the work is nearly complete. We are also interfacing with the community about their return to
00:48:57Ingosh. Those that are willing to return, we are working with the Nigerian military to establish
00:49:03institutional arrangements that will ensure their safe and dignified return.
00:49:08Zulam also directed the distribution of relief materials, comprising food and non-food items,
00:49:14to all the released persons as part of the immediate intervention.
00:49:17The rescued individuals are currently receiving medical and psychological support in a government
00:49:23facility, after which they will be reintegrated into their communities.
00:49:27It would be recalled that the Nigerian army in a press statement titled,
00:49:32Operation Hadankai executes unprecedented intelligence-led rescue operation,
00:49:37freeze 360 abductees from jazz stronghold in the Mandara Mountains, had stated that,
00:49:43in one of the most significant hostage rescue operations conducted in the Northeast Theater in recent
00:49:49times, troops of the Joint Task Force, Northeast, Operation Hadankai, OPHK, comprising special forces and
00:49:58troops of Sector 1, have successfully rescued 360 abductees from a heavily fortified Jumatu Ali's
00:50:06Sala Lidawati wall jihad, jazz, enclave deep within the Mandara Mountains area of southern Borno State.
00:50:12The operation, which was the culmination of weeks of painstaking intelligence preparation,
00:50:18covert reconnaissance, and operational planning, resulted in the safe recovery of men, women,
00:50:24and children who had been held in captivity under harsh conditions after being abducted from several
00:50:30communities, particularly within the Ingosh Axis. The successful rescuer underscores the growing
00:50:36operational reach, intelligence dominance, and tactical superiority of OPHK in denying terrorists
00:50:43freedom of action and protecting vulnerable populations across the theater. The operation
00:50:49was initiated following the receipt of credible and corroborated intelligence from multiple sources
00:50:54indicating the precise location of the hostages and the existence of an elaborate insurgent support
00:51:00network sustaining the enclave. OPHK intelligence elements subsequently launched an extensive target
00:51:07development process involving the integration of human intelligence, human, signals intelligence,
00:51:13intelligence, SIGINT, and persistent intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, ISR, operations
00:51:19conducted through unmanned aerial systems and long-range reconnaissance patrols. Through sustained
00:51:25intelligence collection and analysis, commanders developed a comprehensive understanding of the
00:51:31terrain, insurgent disposition, defensive arrangements, movement patterns,
00:51:36and the condition of the abductees. This intelligence-driven approach enabled the force to accurately map the
00:51:42objective area, identify vulnerabilities within the terrorist network, and significantly reduce risks
00:51:49to the hostages during the rescue mission. A decisive breakthrough was achieved through the successful
00:51:54penetration of the terrorist network by carefully cultivated intelligence assets operating under the
00:52:00supervision of OPHK military intelligence personnel. These assets provided timely and actionable
00:52:07intelligence regarding the exact locations of the abductees, the disposition of insurgent commanders,
00:52:13internal security measures, and planned relocation routes. Simultaneously, carefully coordinated information
00:52:21and psychological operations created uncertainty and mistrust within the insurgent ranks, degrading their cohesion
00:52:28and disrupting. Command and control arrangements. The resulting intelligence advantage provided OPHK with
00:52:35unprecedented situational awareness and enabled commanders to shape the operational environment well
00:52:41before the commencement of the assault phase. Acting on confirmed intelligence, OPHK Special Forces and
00:52:48Troops of Sector 1 launched a meticulously coordinated multi-axis operation designed to isolate the objective
00:52:55area, dominate key terrain, and prevent insurgent reinforcement or withdrawal. Supported by real-time ISR feeds,
00:53:03assault forces infiltrated the objective area under the cover of darkness while blocking forces
00:53:08established positions along likely escape routes. The operation achieved complete tactical surprise,
00:53:15overwhelming the terrorists before an organized response could be mounted. Faced with the speed,
00:53:21precision, and overwhelming combat power of the advancing troops, several insurgents abandoned their
00:53:27positions and fled into surrounding mountainous terrain, while others surrendered. The hostages were
00:53:33swiftly secured, medically screened, and evacuated from the objective area. Regrettably, two infants succumbed to
00:53:41exhaustion occasion by the extremely challenging mountainous terrain and the hardships endured during the
00:53:46prolonged captivity. The remaining rescued abductees were successfully evacuated to safe locations for
00:53:53medical care and humanitarian support, marking a major operational success and a significant setback for
00:54:00the terrorist crew. The military high command has commended the courage, professionalism, and exceptional
00:54:06discipline displayed by all personnel involved in the operation. The military high command noted that the
00:54:12successful rescue of 360 abductees reflects the effectiveness of intelligence-led operations,
00:54:19the growing synergy among security stakeholders, and the unwavering resolve of the armed forces of
00:54:25Nigeria to protect innocent citizens and restore lasting peace to affected communities. The military high
00:54:31command further reassured the public that aggressive follow-on exploitation and clearance operations are
00:54:37ongoing to neutralize residual terrorist elements, dismantle remaining support networks, and prevent future
00:54:44abductions, the military stated as signed and made available by Lieutenant Colonel Haruna Sani, the acting media
00:54:50information officer. Joint Task Force Northeast Operation Haddon Kai, President of Borno South Youth Alliance,
00:54:59Samayla Kaigama had in a number of press releases refuted the claim that the 360 women and children were
00:55:06rescued, saying, he had an audio conversation with the Boko Haram terrorists on Friday and during the
00:55:12conversation, the Boko Haram terrorists agreed to set free the captives with some still-held hostage,
00:55:18hoping to be released on later date.
00:55:23Boko Haram terrorists, bringing youth to news in a more digital way.
00:55:28Youths in Borno state under the umbrella body of Borno South Youth Alliance,
00:55:33Bosnia has insisted that the federal government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed
00:55:39Tanubu did nothing to secure the release of the 416 women and children held hostage by Boko Haram terrorists
00:55:46for more than 90 days. They were taken into the bush since March 2026. Also, the youth group dismissed
00:55:53and rejected the report of the Nigerian Army who had alleged that its men rescued 360 out of the 416
00:56:02people held hostage through intelligent-driven efforts, saying, they have an audio record of the
00:56:08conversation they had with the Boko Haram terrorists on Friday, June 5, 2026 before the Boko Haram terrorists
00:56:16decided to release the captives willingly, adding, if they paid ransom, they should come out and tell
00:56:22Nigerians. Which we had the full details if ransoms was paid or not, as Senator Ali Ndume automatically
00:56:29started thanking President Bola Ahmed Tanubu. Is there something Nigerians need to know that is hidden?
00:56:35It may be recalled that we have reported that barely a day after President Donald Trump of the
00:56:41United States of America, the USA announced the killing of Abu Bilal al-Minuki, the second in
00:56:47command of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, ISIS in a joint operation with Nigeria soldiers in Borno
00:56:54State. A new video of the abducted 416 women and children in Boko Haram captivity has been released in
00:57:02addition to a gory video earlier released by the terrorists wherein they beheaded almost six men
00:57:08who the insurgents said tried to escape among the kidnapped victims. This had led to public outcry and
00:57:14demonstrations. But according to Punch newspaper, protesters are reportedly denied the rights to
00:57:19protest in Mediguri, the Borno State capital, saying, the army reportedly deployed tanks and heavily armed
00:57:27personnel to filling Polo, the venue of the recent planned protest, forcing the demonstrators to
00:57:32withdraw. Quoting Samayla Kaigama, leader of the protesters, as saying, the atmosphere created by
00:57:39the military deployment made it impossible for citizens to continue with the demonstration, that
00:57:45the development is deeply disturbing in a constitutional democracy. It may also be recalled that we have
00:57:51reported that President Bola Ahmed Tanubu of Nigeria may have kept mute since more than 48 hours. A
00:57:58faction of the Boko Haram terrorists showed off 416 people mostly women and children kidnapped and
00:58:05held hostage when the members of the Jumatu Ali Sala Lidawati Wal Jihad, JAZ, launched a large-scale combat
00:58:13action between 4th to the 6th of March 2026 against the men of the armed forces of Nigeria, AFN, overran
00:58:21the
00:58:22Africa country military base at Ingosh, killing several soldiers, a figure the Nigeria authority
00:58:28disputed to be 14 after several reports indicated that more than 40 soldiers were killed during the attack,
00:58:35in addition to more than 100 civilians including Chief Iman of Ingosh alongside the community elders
00:58:42killed during the coordinated attacks that lasted days at Ingosh community in Gwoza local government
00:58:48area of Borno state, this, during the attacks, numbers of people were also taken hostage by the insurgents,
00:58:56with speculations indicating that the hostages are apparently being held at the rugged terrain of
00:59:01the Mandara mountains, which sit wide across the Nigeria border with Cameroon, in the released video,
00:59:07one of the spokespersons of the Boko Haram group said they decided to release a proof-of-life video
00:59:13of the 416 women and children in their captivity, following the demands made across to them by the
00:59:19Borno South Youth Alliance, Bosia, and according to the statement issued by the Bosia when they made
00:59:25the video public on Friday, April 10, 2026, the youths group called on federal government and
00:59:32governments at all level to ensure the hostages are released. Saying specifically that, we have
00:59:38witnessed cases in states such as Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, and Kebi where abducted victims regained
00:59:45freedom following interventions by individuals such as Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, we therefore expect equal
00:59:51urgency and commitment in addressing the plight of the Ingosh victims, no region or group of citizens
00:59:57should be treated with less priority. Nigerian Army in a press release issued and made available
01:00:03on Saturday by Lieutenant Colonel Haruna Sani, the acting media information officer of Northeast
01:00:09Operation Hadankai Joint Task Force, said and in quotes that, in one of the most significant hostage
01:00:16rescue operations conducted in the Northeast Theater in recent times, troops of the Joint Task Force,
01:00:23Northeast, Operation Hadankai, OPHK, comprising special forces and troops of Sector 1, have
01:00:30successfully rescued 360 abductees from a heavily fortified Jammatu Ali's Sala Lidawati Wal Jihad,
01:00:38Jazz, enclave deep within the Mandara Mountains area of southern Borno State. The operation, which was
01:00:45the culmination of weeks of painstaking intelligence preparation, covered reconnaissance, and operational
01:00:51planning, resulted in the safe recovery of men, women, and children who had been held in captivity
01:00:57under harsh conditions after being abducted from several communities, particularly within the Ingosh
01:01:03Axis. The successful rescuer underscores the growing operational reach, intelligence dominance,
01:01:10and tactical superiority of OPHK in denying terrorists freedom of action and protecting vulnerable
01:01:16populations across the theater. The operation was initiated following the receipt of credible and
01:01:22corroborated intelligence from multiple sources indicating the precise location of the hostages
01:01:27and the existence of an elaborate insurgent support network sustaining the enclave. OPHK intelligence
01:01:34elements subsequently launched an extensive target development process involving the integration of
01:01:40human intelligence, human, signals intelligence, SIGINT, and persistent intelligence, surveillance and
01:01:47reconnaissance, ISR, operations conducted through unmanned aerial systems and long-range reconnaissance patrols.
01:01:55Through sustained intelligence collection and analysis, commanders developed a comprehensive
01:02:00understanding of the terrain, insurgent disposition, defensive arrangements, movement patterns,
01:02:06and the condition of the abductees. This intelligence-driven approach enabled the force to accurately
01:02:12map the objective area, identify vulnerabilities within the terrorist network, and significantly reduce
01:02:19risks to the hostages during the rescue mission. A decisive breakthrough was achieved through the
01:02:24successful penetration of the terrorist network by carefully cultivated intelligence assets operating under the

01:02:51and psychological operations created uncertainty and mistrust within the insurgent ranks, degrading their cohesion
01:02:58and disrupting command and control arrangements. The resulting intelligence advantage provided OPHK with unprecedented
01:03:06situational awareness and enabled commanders to shape the operational environment well before the
01:03:11commencement of the assault phase. Acting on confirmed intelligence, OPHK Special Forces and troops of Sector
01:03:191 launched a meticulously coordinated multi-axis operation designed to isolate the objective area,
01:03:25dominate key terrain, and prevent insurgent reinforcement or withdrawal. Supported by real-time ISR feeds,

01:03:40positions along likely escape routes, the operation achieved complete tactical surprise, overwhelming the
01:03:47terrorists before an organized response could be mounted. Faced with the speed, precision, and overwhelming

01:03:59mountainous terrain, while others surrendered. The hostages were swiftly secured, medically screened, and evacuated from the
01:04:07objective area. Regrettably, two infants succumbed to exhaustion occasioned by the extremely challenging mountainous terrain
01:04:15and the hardships endured during the prolonged captivity. The remaining rescued abductees were
01:04:21successfully evacuated to safe locations for medical care and humanitarian support, marking a major
01:04:27operational success and a significant setback for the terrorist group. The military high command has commended the
01:04:34courage, professionalism, and exceptional discipline displayed by all personnel involved in the operation. The military
01:04:41high command noted that the successful rescue of 360 abductees reflects the effectiveness of intelligence-led
01:04:48operations, the growing synergy among security stakeholders, and the unwavering resolve of the armed
01:04:54forces of Nigeria to protect innocent citizens and restore lasting peace to affected communities.
01:05:00The military high command further reassured the public that aggressive follow-on exploitation and clearance
01:05:06operations are ongoing to neutralize residual terrorist elements, dismantle remaining support networks,
01:05:13and prevent future abductions, the Nigeria military statement ends in quotes. Immediately, the Borno South Youth
01:05:21Alliance, Bosya responded and said, Borno South Youth Alliance, Bosya, through its president brought, the issue of
01:05:29the 416 women and children kidnapped by Boko Haram sometimes around March 2026 to like-light, put in every
01:05:37necessary bravery-related efforts and got his requests granted which one was to make a video, proof of life.
01:05:44At first they were not willing to negotiate or discuss but after extensive discussions and acknowledgement
01:05:50of our efforts towards the grassroots the Imam, top command, agreed and we had talks for weeks.
01:05:56Bosya will be releasing or has released voice notes of our final discussions which was done Friday 5th of
01:06:03June 2026 and Nigerians will clearly hear them admit the reasons they released them and how Borno South
01:06:09Youth Alliance, Bosya, President Samayla Ibrahim Kaigama's efforts made them agree to release the
01:06:15kidnapped victims contrary to what some media outlets are carrying about a rescue or government voice and
01:06:21followers are claiming glory for our efforts. If they paid ransom, they should come out and tell Nigerians,
01:06:28which we have the full details if ransom was paid or not, as Senator Ali Ndume automatically started
01:06:34thanking President Bola Ahmed Tanubu. Is there something Nigerians need to know that is hidden?
01:06:40Only Bosya president knows the hidden facts and hopefully he is ready to talk about some secrets that
01:06:45might shake Nigeria and possibly the world. In another press release, the group said the
01:06:51Borno South Youth Alliance, Bosya, is happy to announce to the general public that our cries, advocacy, and
01:06:59efforts regarding the English 416 women and children have begun to yield positive results.
01:07:05Yesterday, through the efforts of our president, Samayla Ibrahim Kaigama, communications were held, and we were
01:07:12informed that most, if not all, of the victims would be released. As you read this message, that process
01:07:19has already begun. Before any politician or political personal assistants claim glory for this development,
01:07:26we will back our efforts with voice notes 24 hours plus before their release.
01:07:31Watch them claim glory for zero efforts. We are happy and grateful that, through our efforts,
01:07:38our persistent cries, and long discussions, the results are now being seen. The Bosya president has
01:07:45been a solid force behind these humanitarian mediations, negotiations, and discussions, and this
01:07:51is what leadership is about, standing for the people, speaking for the voiceless, and working tirelessly to
01:07:57save lives. To the Ingosh women and children who were released tonight, welcome home. Your return brings
01:08:05hope, joy, and relief to southern Borno. We also call on the federal government, Borno state government,
01:08:12and the relevant local government authorities to properly screen.
01:08:23Lebanon is a sovereign country that has been a founding member of the United Nations since 1945,
01:08:29but, on several occasions, Israel has made an attempt to be in control of some areas of the
01:08:35sovereign nation, Lebanon, which is a small country of approximately 10,500 square kilometers,
01:08:43out of which, about 3,000 square kilometers are perhaps currently under the control and capture of
01:08:49Israeli armed forces since the state of Israel began the war of redemption in 2025. A military operation
01:08:56targeting Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon which the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu in a
01:09:02nationwide video broadcast on Sunday, said, over 8,000 Hezbollah fighters have been killed,
01:09:09ordered Israeli troops to expand more into Lebanon and commended men and women of the Israel defense
01:09:15forces of retaking or recapturing Beaufort, a 900-year-old castle city in Lebanon that perched on a high
01:09:22ridge overlooking the Latani river valley with the good tactical and strategic military viewpoint over
01:09:28southern Lebanon, the western Beaker valley and northern Israel. The highly valued military
01:09:33fortress was previously occupied by Israel between 1982 and year 2000 and its reoccupation by Israel on
01:09:42Saturday night has triggered emergency United Nations Security Council meeting. According to the French
01:09:48Foreign Minister, Jean-Noel Barrett, France has called for emergency UN Security Council meeting over
01:09:55Israel expansion into more Lebanon's territory, stating to BFMTV News Network on Sunday that while
01:10:03France recognizes Israel's right to self-defense, nothing can justify the continuation of Israeli military
01:10:10operations in Lebanon and its ever deeper occupation of Lebanese territory, and Israel Defense Forces,
01:10:17IDF in a statement on Sunday via its social media handles, said, these are photos from the precise IDF
01:10:25operation in the Beaufort Ridge and Wadi Saluki area in southern Lebanon. IDF troops located weapons in
01:10:32the village of Zortar al-Shakir further proof of Hezbollah's presence inside civilian areas in southern Lebanon.
01:10:39Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the nationwide broadcast said and in quotes that,
01:10:44Last night, our heroic fighters captured the Beaufort Castle. They proudly raised the flag of the State
01:10:51of Israel and the flag of the Goluni Brigade there. I remind you that 44 years ago, this place was
01:10:58a
01:10:58symbol of a heroic battle by our fighters, but it was also a symbol of deep division among us. Today,
01:11:05we
01:11:05return to Beaufort differently. We returned united, determined, and stronger than ever. I spoke with the
01:11:12fighters on the northern border on Friday. They told me, tell the people of Israel what we are doing
01:11:18here. Prime Minister, the public doesn't know what achievements we have made. Well, since the
01:11:25beginning of the War of Redemption we have eliminated 8,000 Hezbollah terrorists. Since Operation Roaring
01:11:32Lion 3000, in the past month alone 700, this is more than everyone we eliminated during the Second
01:11:39Lebanon War. I have instructed the IDF to expand the incursion in Lebanon. Our forces have crossed the
01:11:47Latani River, they took dominant terrain, they captured the Beaufort Ridge, and now my instruction
01:11:53is to deepen and expand our hold on places that were under Hezbollah's control. The capture of Beaufort
01:12:00is a dramatic stage and a dramatic change in the policy we are leading. We have broken the barrier of
01:12:06fear,
01:12:06we are taking the initiative, we are operating on all fronts, in Syria, in Gaza, in Lebanon. We have
01:12:14established security zones beyond our borders to protect our communities. On Friday, I spoke with
01:12:20the brigade commanders, their daring brigade commanders, inside the territory, leading the heroic
01:12:26soldiers. And they told me, Prime Minister, we are carrying out the mission. We are charging forward,
01:12:34and Hezbollah is fleeing for its life. And I told them, I am with you. The entire nation of Israel
01:12:41is
01:12:41with you. It will take more time, but we will restore security to the residents of the north,
01:12:47just as we did for the residents of the south. It will take time, but we will complete the mission."
01:12:53Israel Defense Forces in a separate post on Sunday, stated that, the IDF launched an operation,
01:13:00beginning a few days ago, in the Beaufort Ridge and Wadi al-Saluki area in southern Lebanon in order
01:13:06to dismantle terrorist infrastructure, eliminate terrorists and remove direct threats to Israeli
01:13:12civilians. The operation is focused on establishing operational control of the Beaufort Ridge and the
01:13:18Wadi al-Saluki area, as well as degrading Hezbollah and dismantling terrorist infrastructure that was
01:13:24established on the ridge under Iranian direction. From Beaufort Ridge, Hezbollah terrorists managed
01:13:30military and combat activities and carried out numerous attacks. The IDF has crossed the Latani
01:13:37river and expanded its operations against Hezbollah targets north of the river. The operation is
01:13:43currently expanding to additional areas. It would be recalled that Lebanon got independence from France on
01:13:49November 22, 1943, and in an interview with BFM-TV on Sunday, the French Foreign Affairs Minister,
01:13:57Jean Noel Barrett stated that, nothing can justify the prolongation of, Israel's, military operations
01:14:03in Lebanon and its increasingly deep occupation of Lebanese territory. This is a major mistake for
01:14:10Israel, he added. Barrett's statements come as the IDF confirmed it had taken control of Beaufort Castle
01:14:17in Lebanon, a position it had not held since withdrawing in May 2000. Beaufort was originally
01:14:23a French Crusader period castle in the region. In the same interview, Barrett also called for Iran
01:14:29and the US to reach a peace deal, describing the current situation as, untenable. We feel the
01:14:36consequences of the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz on a daily basis, at the pump, and more generally
01:14:42with its impact on the global economy and on the French economy. So this has to stop, he stated.
01:14:48He also said that, the planning work is advanced, regarding the mission to guarantee freedom of
01:14:54movement through the Strait of Hormuz.
01:15:03Information from the Office of the Special Advisor to the Nigerian President,
01:15:08Bayo Onanuga has shown apparent strong indications that the federal government under the leadership of
01:15:13President Bola Ahmed Tanubou may use the act of trumped-up allegation to harass, intimidate,
01:15:19arrest and detain one of the president anti-2027 re-election activists who is also the president and
01:15:26founder of the racial movements, Martins Vincent Otz aka Avery Duckman. Following a widely circulated
01:15:33acclaimed Leap telephone voice record of President Bola Ahmed Tanubou wherein the president was portrayed to
01:15:39have made statements capable of causing anarchy in the country, instigating and inciting the people
01:15:45against the president in a manner that can collapse the government and cause uncontrollable deaths.
01:15:51This, the presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga seems to have wrongly or deliberately attributed the
01:15:57dissemination of the acclaimed Leap telephone voice record to Vareed Duckman in a tweet the
01:16:03presidential spokesperson issued via ex-social media platform at about 11am on Wednesday morning,
01:16:10which, the presidential spokesperson said, this VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the
01:16:16conveyor and disseminator of a fake audio of President Tanubou, this is a clear case of an egregious abuse
01:16:22of the social media platform. A careful study of some news media reports over the acclaimed Leap telephone
01:16:29record to Vareed Duckman, but none of the media companies was able to satisfy the basic principles
01:16:42or standards of news writing and publishing, which requires the media companies to provide or state
01:16:48when and where Vareed Duckman disseminated such information, an action that shows there may be
01:16:53high-level conspiracy to arrest and keep the anti-government activist in a perpetual detention
01:16:59till after 2027 general elections with possible trumped-up allegations of treasonable count charges
01:17:06or alleged acts to endanger national security, for the purpose of clarity, trumped-up allegation,
01:17:12according to Cambridge Online Dictionary. It is an allegation that is, deliberately based on false
01:17:18information so that someone will be accused of doing something wrong and punished.
01:17:23Our investigation indicates that a video published by Vareed Duckman via his Instagram account on
01:17:29Tuesday May 26, 2026 about President Bola Ahmed Tanubou 2023 pre-election campaign promises,
01:17:37wherein, the President had said if he does not give Nigerians stable power or electricity supply in his
01:17:44first four years in office, the people should not vote for him for the second time, the video
01:17:49published by Vareed Duckman while in China seems to be the one suspicious mischief makers altered and
01:17:55inserted the acclaimed Leap telephone voice record of President Bola Ahmed Tanubou to create apparent
01:18:01false and misleading information capable of causing anarchy in the country with obvious intention to
01:18:07give the government the opportunity to harass, intimidate, arrest and detain the anti-government
01:18:12activist, Vareed Duckman till after the 2027 general elections. Verbatim, in quotes,
01:18:20Sahara Reporters reported that, the Nigerian presidential aide, Bayo Onanuga, has lashed out
01:18:26at social media influencer, Martins Vincentots, popularly known as BDM, over the circulation of what
01:18:33he described as a fake audio recording purportedly linked to President Bola Tanubou, insisting that the
01:18:39matter should attract legal consequences. In a statement issued on Wednesday, May 27, 2026,
01:18:47Onanuga accused VDM of abusing social media platforms through the dissemination of false
01:18:52information capable of misleading the public and damaging the image of the president.
01:18:57This VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the conveyor and disseminator of a
01:19:02fake audio of President Tanubou. This is a clear case of an egregious abuse of the social media
01:19:09platform, Onanuga stated. The controversy followed a video posted earlier by Martins Vincentots,
01:19:16also known as VDM, in which he claimed to have obtained an audio recording allegedly featuring
01:19:22President Tanubou speaking on the country's political situation, insecurity, and the 2027
01:19:28elections. Introducing the recording in the video, VDM said, after this audio that I am about to play,
01:19:36I would ask if they cook Nigerians who will support Tanubou in 2027 or you guys are okay.
01:19:42The audio clip played in the video allegedly featured Tanubou making controversial remarks
01:19:48regarding attempts to remove him from office, insecurity in the southeast, and borrowing from
01:19:54the World Bank. In the purported recording, the voice alleged to be that of the president said,
01:19:59they have been trying to take me out of the position but it's not possible,
01:20:03mind you I am winning this election, I do not care whatever is happening, Nigerians deserve it.
01:20:09The voice in the audio further stated, because when I was running as a president,
01:20:14they did not want me, now all of a sudden they want me to rescue them from insecurity.
01:20:19Another section of the recording allegedly quoted the president as saying,
01:20:24I called Peter Obi to step down for me but he refused. I am not begging him again,
01:20:30I will do whatsoever in my mind and I will make sure the insecurity affects the people in southeast
01:20:36more. The purported audio also contained comments about foreign loans and insecurity, claiming,
01:20:43listen I am going to borrow more and more money from the World Bank,
01:20:47I won't like to stop this insecurity because if I do, how will our party be able to win elections,
01:20:54think about it, even the loans I am taking is to fund them. However, Onanuga dismissed the audio
01:21:01as fabricated and accused BDM of deliberately spreading falsehood. The presidential aide maintained
01:21:08that the circulation of manipulated or unverified materials on social media poses serious dangers
01:21:14to public trust, national security and democratic stability. The presidency has not indicated whether
01:21:21legal proceedings would immediately be initiated against the social media influencer. Martin's
01:21:28Vincent is yet to also react to Bayo Onanuga's statement as of the time of filing this report,
01:21:33Sahara reporter's news report ends in quotes.
01:21:37See this next video I am about to play. After you people watch it, we can't decide whether
01:21:42they don't cook your mind or they don't cook your mind. They have been trying to take me out from
01:21:59the position but it's not possible. And mind you, I am winning this election. I don't care whatever is
01:22:06happening. Nigeria deserves it. Because when I was running as a president, they didn't want me. Now,
01:22:14all of a sudden, they want me to rescue them from insecurity.
01:22:21As of last week, I called Peter Obi to step down for me, but he refused. Now, I'm not begging
01:22:27him again.
01:22:28I will be whatsoever in my mind and I will make sure the insecurity affects people in southeast more.
01:22:38Listen, I am going to borrow more and more money from World Bank. Try to understand me. I wouldn't
01:22:44like to stop this insecurity because if I do, how will our party be able to raise funds to win
01:22:51elections?
01:22:52Think about it. Even the loans I'm taking is to fund them. Also, I have a plan after I'm done
01:22:58with my
01:22:58position as a president. You have failed. So talking about jazz, except if they use jazz and even if they
01:23:05use jazz on Nigerians, time don't retreat. You say you will tap yourself. You will go wash your body again,
01:23:10make you understand and say, this man does not have anything to offer to come 2027. Any other option is
01:23:15welcome. But for me, myself and I, President Bola Ametunubu can not offer us anything anymore. So it should go.
01:23:23It should go. It should go. Bola Ametunubu, it should go. Listen, Lord, don't...
01:23:28I'm going to talk on my mind. I'm going to talk on my mind, bro. You don't get hurt. You
01:23:32don't get hurt.
01:23:33You see that thing where you're the rear for neck here? You know they're rear for neck here. You're going
01:23:35to do anything.
01:23:36You know they're rear for neck. You don't go put jazz for them. You know where they go to shrine.
01:23:39You don't go put jazz for your neck.
01:23:40All right. So talking about using jazz, I'm going to shrine. You see this next video I'm about to play.
01:23:47After you people watch it, we can't decide whether in a shrine they don't think cook on our mind.
01:23:52All the people who won't support Bola Ametunubu 2027, we can't know whether they don't cook your mind.
01:23:59So you know, go get sense or on a day okay.
01:24:03Whichever way, whichever way, by all means necessary,
01:24:14you must have electricity.
01:24:18And you will not pay for estimated bill anymore.
01:24:32A promise made will be a promise care.
01:24:36If I can't keep the promise and you,
01:24:41and I come back for second time, don't fall for me.
01:24:48That's the truth.
01:24:51You heard him.
01:24:52This was when he was doing his campaign.
01:24:54He said a promise made will be a promise care.
01:24:57Like if he does not give Nigerians electricity, after four years they should not vote for him.
01:25:02So it's not like I'm campaigning against him.
01:25:04I am going, I am putting his words against him.
01:25:07So there's no way we don't have electricity.
01:25:09As a matter of fact, let me even show you.
01:25:11For the very first time, since the inception,
01:25:15since the creation of Nigeria and the creation of Aso Rock, for the very first time,
01:25:20as you can see, Aso Rock to exit national grid by March 2026.
01:25:27Then look at this one.
01:25:28Aso Rock opting for 10 billion nera solar questions presidents believe in national grid.
01:25:33So as of today, this was in March, April, within May,
01:25:36As of today, they don't abandon Aso Rock where President Bola met in Ubud is still.
01:25:42Now solar that they use now.
01:25:44They don't abandon national grid.
01:25:45So whatever happened, don't concern anybody.
01:25:47And to be very, very honest, in Nigeria of today, people don't even care about the light anymore.
01:25:53That's why people are opting out for solar.
01:25:57People, they opt out for solar.
01:25:58Now they try that.
01:26:01Now power station went out.
01:26:03Can they come back now?
01:26:04At least we're going to help people.
01:26:05Now they bring up.
01:26:07Some people don't, they give up.
01:26:10So you made a promise that if you cannot give electricity to Nigerians,
01:26:13they should not vote you in the coming term.
01:26:15So that is what Nigerians are going to follow.
01:26:17This is not very dark.
01:26:19No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
01:26:20I get a lot of your clips and everything you promised.
01:26:23You have failed.
01:26:24You have failed.
01:26:25So talking about jazz, except if they use jazz.
01:26:28And even if they use jazz on Nigerians.
01:26:29Time down the track is you go tap yourself.
01:26:32You will go wash your body again.
01:26:33Make you understand.
01:26:34Say, this man does not have anything to offer to come 2027.
01:26:38Any other option is welcome.
01:26:39But for me, myself and I, President Bola Ametinubu can not offer us anything anymore.
01:26:45So it should go.
01:26:46It should go.
01:26:47It should go.
01:26:48Bola Ametinubu, it should go.
01:26:50Peace and love.
01:26:51Don't play me.
