00:00Boy, I have to turn the mic lower than Ralph.
00:02This is, um, I want y'all to know I was four inches taller when I became Speaker of the
00:07House.
00:07They have beat me down mercilessly, but I am still fighting because we're in this together.
00:14Thank you for being here today.
00:16I am so grateful to the Faith and Freedom Coalition.
00:19I cannot tell you what an inspiration and example Ralph Reed has been for me, to me,
00:25for so many years, and I know to all of you as well.
00:28And this coalition, this group, as you know, you are the backbone of the conservative movement.
00:34I mean, we would not be in the majority right now if we're not for you.
00:37That is a true statement.
00:39That's just, I know, we all know.
00:43I don't know the exact number, but it's somewhere north of 10 million doors that were knocked
00:47on for the 2024 election.
00:50We do this together.
00:51It is a grassroots effort and operation, and it could not happen without everybody in this
00:55room and your faith and your persistence and your faithfulness.
01:00Psalm 11.3 says that the foundations be destroyed, what will the righteous do?
01:04That is not a rhetorical question for you and me.
01:07It's one we have to answer right now.
01:08And I've been more animated than usual this week because of the illustrations that we have
01:14seen of that.
01:15Right now, right now, the foundations of America are under violent and unprecedented attack.
01:22And you know that that is true.
01:24And so while we assemble every year, this is, I think this is the 17th Road to the Majority
01:28event.
01:29It's amazing.
01:30Thank you for being a part of it because it's never been more important than it is right
01:35this moment.
01:36Okay?
01:37Look, we know what's happened just in the last few days.
01:40Earlier this week, you saw the election results in New York City and a couple of other places
01:44around the country.
01:46The Speaker's job is a unique one because when I'm not here and we're not in session
01:50voting, leading the legislative agenda, the legislative branch, the Speaker's is supposed
01:56to be on the road because the Speaker's in charge of the whole map.
01:59To keep the majority, you're the leader of the party and the major fundraiser for the
02:03legislative branch and you've got to get out and travel.
02:06So I go all around the country and I go to the blue states and the swing districts and
02:08just endlessly traveling.
02:10And I have been seeing this for a long time and I've been saying for a long time, this
02:14midterm is going to be unlike any in history.
02:17There is a dangerous trend going on in the country right now.
02:21And the best way to describe what I've seen is I've said there's just little mini Mamdani's
02:26popping up all around the country running for Congress.
02:30Now, I started saying this many months ago and everybody's like, no, that's not.
02:33Yes, well, you just saw it.
02:35And we cannot look the other way.
02:37You cannot take this for granted.
02:38It's a serious threat, my friends.
