00:00Our budget's pretty big, but it's not that big.
00:04That's expensive.
00:05We're not going to get the Underminer from Incredibles, guys.
00:07We're not that kind of people.
00:09Hi, we're the cast of Avatar The Last Airbender.
00:12And we're here to debunk your weirdest fan theories on the internet.
00:15Spoiler alert!
00:16I love season one for many, many reasons.
00:18I love the story building.
00:20Yeah!
00:21Mikaela!
00:21Let's go!
00:22She's the original voice of Toph, Mikaela Jell.
00:25But I will say it does move a little bit slower,
00:28pacing-wise.
00:30But season two, we pick up some steam.
00:32And I have a feeling maybe that's going to be the case for the live-action two.
00:36I would agree.
00:37Yeah.
00:38I was also theorizing this.
00:41The animated show, like the first season,
00:43is so much more like an anthology almost,
00:46because they're like bouncing around the world a lot more.
00:48But we kind of have like a lot more through line for season two and three.
00:52We got somewhere to go.
00:54Next!
00:55Definitely think they might have more of a focus on
00:58on Azula, Tylee, and Mei.
01:01And I would be interested to see that and kind of more about their dynamics.
01:06The main change that I really want to see
01:09is I want to see Katara and Zuko have some sort of romance.
01:16Now, I would be really happy if they actually ended up together,
01:19because I always shift them,
01:21and I thought that they would be a much better pair than Katara and Aang.
01:26I would like them to at least explore the connection.
01:30Okay, interesting.
01:31Other than he's hated him for forever.
01:33You're a terrible person, you know that?
01:35Always following us, hunting the Avatar.
01:38Her first point with Azula and the girls, yes.
01:40Yeah, I agree, I agree, I want to say that.
01:43I agree.
01:44Like, we need to see more of like the other side,
01:46because I think that in Avatar, it's very focused on like the gang.
01:50And then you see like some of Ozai, some of Azula.
01:53I think that our show to like shed more light on them
01:56and really see some of their more like human experiences is really cool.
01:59Yeah, I think we do get to see that too.
02:01It's been a lot of fun.
02:02I'm excited for people to see this next chapter for us Fire Nation girls.
02:06I would say we're sticking pretty close to the animated series
02:09in terms of the relationship between the characters.
02:13Toph's live-action actress Mia Cech just said in a recent interview
02:16that Toph is going to be having some little changes in the live-action show.
02:20She's going to be a little bit older and a bit more feminine.
02:23Yeah, my personal Toph, I think, is going to be a little more older.
02:25Why are you screaming over there?
02:27That interview is crazy.
02:28More feminine, I feel like I wanted to work into a very like humanizing space for her
02:30because, you know, she was a cartoon.
02:31I have met Mikaela who plays the voice of Toph
02:33and I feel like we have both a very similar take in terms of the process.
02:35So again, I can't do much, so I'm excited for you guys all to see her.
02:37And I don't think that Mia is saying that Toph is going to be just flat out feminine.
02:42They're just kind of going to bring more femininity into her role overall.
02:47I also saw some rumors floating around that the reason that they are doing this
02:50is so that Toph and Aang can have a relationship.
02:53Aang's love for Katara is such a huge plot point in the show.
02:56That is a little bit of a concern that I did have with season one
02:59where we didn't really see Aang have his little crush on Katara.
03:03This business, he's like my little brother.
03:07So no, no, I disagree with that portion of it.
03:10I think my quote was taken out of context.
03:12I'm not like Mikaela was when she was filming the original series.
03:14I'm not 12.
03:15I have to be a little more mature.
03:17I, as a person, am a little more feminine.
03:19So I think that like my answer had more to do with how I was playing her because of who
03:26I am.
03:26Regardless, you guys are going to absolutely love Mia as Toph.
03:30She does an incredible job.
03:31She's too humble to say it.
03:32It's really just like dead on.
03:34Hey, and they did speed you up, but at least they didn't slow you down.
03:43A lot of what we saw in the teaser trailer is going to be in this first episode.
03:47I think this episode is going to be very much like the return to Omashu episode.
03:50I think they're going to go back to Omashu to try to reconnect with Bumi.
03:54We have the whole fight with the Azula squad.
03:56They still take over Omashu, and then they take the refugees from Omashu
04:01through the Serpent's Pass to go somewhere safe.
04:05Trying to have the best poker face possible.
04:08No, she cooked with that, low-key.
04:12She was pretty spot on there.
04:15She might be on to something.
04:17She might be right.
04:18I guess we'll have to see, huh?
04:19Somewhere safe for the night.
04:21The Serpent's Pass.
04:24If you pay close attention to the start of the trailer, it opens that Serpent's Pass.
04:27But why is Appa there?
04:28Appa is supposed to be kidnapped.
04:30The whole arc is the reason book two works.
04:32Appa being taken gives him a lifetime of trauma and breaks the gang emotionally,
04:36leading to one of the most painful and unforgettable episodes in all of fiction.
04:39So did Netflix seriously just cut that entire arc?
04:41Because if Appa isn't gone, Serpent's Pass makes zero sense.
04:44As why would they even bother traveling on foot if they can just fly?
04:47What do you think?
04:47I think what people need to understand about our show is that our timeline is also a little bit different.
04:52That means that we have to place certain events before or after they were in the animated series.
04:57Which is probably what leads to the confusion.
04:58The clip is also coming from a teaser trailer.
05:01So I think when the show comes out and you see more context, things start to align.
05:06I think there are things in our show that will make it make way more sense why we're not just
05:10flying.
05:10Because if we could just fly, we would.
05:12There must be a reason we can't.
05:14I just can't talk about it.
05:15We lost Appa's wings.
05:17We caught.
05:17Wings?
05:18Someone caught Appa's tail.
05:20I thought everyone just can fly on their own.
05:22Oh, true.
05:24Yeah, Korra's all spiked for that.
05:27That was good.
05:28People have theorized Monkiazzo just took out all of the air from that room in that area that he was
05:34in.
05:35And just suffocated everyone, including himself.
05:38I never thought about it like that.
05:39If you take note, there's no burn marks on Monkiazzo.
05:42That's so freaking good.
05:44We can't firebend if there's no air.
05:46Yeah, there's no oxygen for fire to burn.
05:48That's like the extreme version of like in Korra when sad.
05:51Oh, Zahir takes the air out.
05:53That's like that times 20.
05:54That's why he's the master.
05:57Wait, wait, wait.
05:58I thought airbenders don't kill.
06:00No, I think I disagree.
06:02I'm sad.
06:03Go on.
06:03Well, because also he said there was no burn marks, but he was kind of long decomposed.
06:08Yeah.
06:09Like there's no burn marks on his bones.
06:12Knowing Monkiazzo so personally, I don't know if he would do that.
06:17It's just not like less suffering.
06:19I'm imagining like the Star Wars like Padawan battle, more of accurate example of what happened.
06:25He was too much of a nice guy to do that, right?
06:27Yeah.
06:28Like their philosophy is like don't kill and at least like protect their land and like the last of their
06:34kind.
06:35So like, I don't know.
06:36Omashu scene where they're chasing down the mail system, but then you also have the drill.
06:41How are they going to do the drill?
06:43Momo, I would not be surprised if they skip over that.
06:46No way.
06:48I love that.
06:50They're going to need something else to break the wall now.
06:52Oh, I really like that Momo.
06:55I would not be surprised.
06:57Our budget's pretty big, but it's not that big.
07:01That's expensive.
07:03We're not going to get the Underminer from Incredibles, guys.
07:05We're not that kind of people.
07:07When Azula has her throne and then the two thrones next to it for her and her girls,
07:11that's like one of my favorite parts of the animation.
07:13But I'm going to have to stick with Gordon on that where I don't know if our budget would allow
07:18for us to drill.
07:19There may or may not be another way that that happens.
07:22And I think it's maybe as expensive.
07:24So yes.
07:25So you'll have to.
07:26No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
07:29But yes.
07:30Long story short, you will have to wait and see to figure out if the drill is in our episode
07:34or not.
07:35So obviously the cave of two lovers, they already did that in season one.
07:38We're not doing that.
07:39We're definitely not getting Avatar Day considering they already did that plot point on Kiyoshi Island.
07:44I don't think we're going to get the Swamp either because they kind of mix that into the Spirit World
07:49episode.
07:50Also, I have a feeling that they're not going to adapt the Library or the Desert episode considering that we
07:56already saw Wang Shi Tong.
07:57But I don't think they're going to do Appa's Lost Days.
08:00I also don't think they're going to do Tales of Ba Sing Se at least to the fullest extent.
08:06There is so much.
08:07He was very negative and sad.
08:08They have no faith in us.
08:11Wait, Loki got us now?
08:13They're like best parts of the show.
08:14Not happening.
08:15Not happening.
08:16Not happening.
08:17No, no, no.
08:17We have some of them for sure.
08:18I mean, I will agree with him on like the, a lot of it was covered in season one.
08:22We're a lot less episodes in the animated series.
08:25So we do have to condense some things.
08:26I think we won't be as disappointing as that video makes us sound like we will be.
08:30No, no, we're doing great.
08:32I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
08:33Like maybe there's a part two, like this is what we'll be in.
08:37Right, right.
08:37Right.
08:38But very logical.
08:39Like his, his reasoning.
08:41Season two in the animated series is extremely complex.
08:44Yeah, there's only so much we can do.
08:46So we're actually cooking up.
08:48So we're.
08:48So you're cooking up.
08:51Momo looks like he's put on some weight.
08:53He's kind of hitting that Elon Musk pose right now.
08:57How are we going to talk about this like it's serious?
09:01Wait, play it again.
09:04Momo looks like he's put on some weight.
09:06He's kind of hitting that Elon Musk pose right now.
09:09Wait, wait, wait.
09:09I actually have a theory.
09:11So Sokka's been feeding him and preparing him to eat him.
09:14And that is what's going to happen.
09:16He's always joking about it in the animated series.
09:19He's always like, I'm going to eat you, Momo.
09:20You're like fried chicken.
09:21I want to eat you.
09:23He's just feeding him like fried chicken or something.
09:26Just fattening him up.
09:27Dude, don't give away my secret.
09:30In my opinion, he's a skinny legend.
09:33He's a snatch queen.
09:34That's it.
09:35Body is T.
09:36Size 27 Dior.
09:39Bro, season two of the live action Avatar Last Airbender might already be cooked.
09:44And it has everything to do with how they're going to do Toph in the live action.
09:47Hear me out.
09:48If y'all remember, Toph is blind.
09:50And she's only able to see because of her earthbending.
09:53If you remember, she actually learned this ability from the original earthbenders, the badger moles.
09:58This is where it gets weird because in a live action, they change this.
10:02The badger moles do not see with vibrations.
10:05They see feelings, which essentially means they could change Toph from a vibration-based earthbender being able to see to
10:14a feeling bender.
10:16You're a vibe bender.
10:17I will say this.
10:18In the animated series, we know that because of Toph's blindness and her connection to the earth, she can tell
10:24when people are lying.
10:25She does know how people are feeling.
10:27That is exactly what the badger moles do.
10:28And they might do the same thing as Toph in terms of feeling the vibration.
10:31But she is blind.
10:33Everything about her earthbending and about her story is pretty close to the original series.
10:37So we didn't want to touch that or change it.
10:39And it's perfect the way it is.
10:40We are bending off a vibe, but we are also bending off of actual earth vibrations.
10:44Can't it be both?
10:46It's okay.
10:47It kind of makes sense for Toph's parents to own this giant library since they are super, super wealthy.
10:53And maybe Sokka goes exploring and then he winds up finding something about the eclipse.
10:58Why would Toph's parents own a library if she can't see?
11:00Well, maybe it's like a generational thing.
11:02Oh, it's like a book depository.
11:04It's very interesting.
11:05I think this guy ate.
11:07Yeah, honestly.
11:08Like, I'm thinking about it now.
11:09Like, wrong, but like, I've watched this guy's stuff before, actually.
11:13And he's like, I'm always like, whoa, like, interesting.
11:16Yeah.
11:16He thought of things we could never.
11:17But wrong.
11:20I feel like that would, in theory, that'd be kind of funny because it's just an owl shows up in
11:23the library for no reason.
11:25Right.
11:25And that's where the part where it falls apart.
11:27Especially because we've established already that Wong Xie Tong is in the spirit world.
11:32Yeah.
11:32Right.
11:33So it's like, how would...
11:34The library would have to also be a spirit library.
11:36Yeah.
11:37In your family, which doesn't really make sense.
11:39But shout out the eclipse.
11:42Today, we got a poster for the season.
11:44And for those of you that watched season one, the characters look a little bit different.
11:48That being that the characters are quite a bit older than they were in season one.
11:52Which means that it is inevitable that season two is going to begin with a time jump between the two
11:57seasons.
11:58He ate down.
11:58Yeah, I agree with that.
12:00Yeah, I agree.
12:01You guys were such babies in that video.
12:04I know, he didn't have to cook us like that, though.
12:05I know, honestly.
12:06He looked a lot older.
12:08Yeah, Sokka's got to be at least like 24.
12:10The first thing he said was, like, look a little different.
12:12That was what really got me.
12:14Well, thank you guys so much for all your theories.
12:16And we hope we've shed some light for you on season two.
