00:00We say we are demotivated, we are distracted.
00:03You are demotivated because your motive itself is unworthy.
00:08If your goal setting process is influenced from the outside,
00:13then your goal would never really be your own goal.
00:17And therefore you will never feel internally totally committed to it.
00:21You may persuade yourself towards the goal.
00:25But that persuasion cannot last long.
00:28It cannot have too much strength.
00:29You cannot drag a man to run a marathon.
00:33Can you imagine a man being dragged to complete a marathon?
00:37For how long will you drag him?
00:39Most of us running after goals are like that person being dragged.
00:45What is the worthy motive then?
00:48It would either be something that gives you joy
00:52or it would be something that gives you liberation.
00:55And even these two, after a point you will see, are identical.
00:58And if you are rushing towards something,
01:01because that something will offer you something in return,
01:05then that's a strong indication that you have wrongly chosen your goals.
01:10I'll just say it was a close.
01:12I'll just say that you have to do that.
