00:18is is that I probably would have been someone who stayed more put right because I think I grew up
00:29with such a grounding here you know that sometimes when you're so grounded you're sometimes afraid to
00:38leave that security and comfort and I might have fallen into that right I think I would have had
00:45a beautiful life here but I think it would have been smaller I think I wouldn't have had the kind
00:51of impact I think our girls they would have thrived but you know because of my husband because of who
00:58he is he offered all of us you know my mom my family just a broader sense of what's possible
01:07in life you know what she's saying is I'm the crazy one no no I'm not saying that at all
01:12I'm just saying
01:13that you provide the the forward push that sometimes some of us don't have and I think it's and I

01:23it's it's been good for me to be a little shaken a bit you know to to be pushed to
01:32do more than what
01:34I thought I could do and some of my first uncomfortable steps in my career you know leaving
01:40a corporate law firm was because I met him I was like this guy you're a community organizer I was

01:48what's that never heard of that he's organizing in my city you know um so he made me think more
01:55broadly about what I could do with this Harvard law degree besides be a lawyer and there was just so
02:00much he gave me the courage he was my ballast you know he was like I got you um and
02:07however hard it's
02:08been the ups and the downs he's got me you know he's like try new things go leap sometimes the
02:18stuff I do
02:18he's like look at you but I can do a lot of these things because I know if I slip
02:24or fall
02:24or trip he's got me so yes it has been it's been it's just worked out a partnership it's been
