00:00好吧 好的 好了 好啊
00:03What's the difference?
00:05They all use the word 好
00:07So many Chinese learners think they mean the same thing
00:10But actually they feel very different in real Chinese conversation
00:15The first one 好的
00:17好的 is probably the safest one
00:20Chinese people use it all the time
00:22When replying politely
00:25It usually means OK, got it, sure
00:29For example 好的 我知道了
00:33The second one 好啊 好啊 also means OK
00:38But it sounds much more friendly and enthusiastic
00:41Usually when you really like the suggestion
00:45It can feel like sounds great, I'd love to
00:49For example 明天一起吃饭吗 好啊
00:52Here it sounds more relaxed and emotional
00:56So compared to 好的, I feel more casual and friendly
01:01The third one 好吧 好吧 also means OK
01:06But feeling is very different
01:09It's often used when you don't really want to do something
01:12But you still accept it
01:14So it often sounds very unwilling
01:17For example, parents tell the kids to do their homework
01:22去写作业吧
01:23Go do your homework
01:24But the kids doesn't want to do it
01:26So they reply 好吧
01:29OK then
01:30And they will just go and do their homework
01:32Even though they really don't want to
01:35The last one 好了 好了
01:38好了 has two common meanings
01:40The first meaning is something is finished already
01:44It's usually used after work
01:46For example 做好了
01:48Finish doing
01:49写好了
01:51Finish writing
01:52The second meaning is to stop the current topic
01:55Or move on the next thing
01:57It can feel like alright, okay, enough
02:01Depending on the tone
02:03It can sometimes sound a little bit strong
02:06Or impatient
02:07For example
02:08好了,别说了
02:10好了,我们出去吧
