00:00Diana Rossini was bringing home the bacon.
00:02She was reportedly paid an annual salary of $800,000,
00:05but that was all before photos of her hugging Mike Rabel were exposed by Page Six.
00:10A former manager of Rossini's revealed her income to The New York Times,
00:14making her one of the highest-paid journalists at The Athletic.
00:16However, it's not unusual for sports reporters to earn big bucks.
00:20Rossini's male counterparts, Adam Schefter and Adrian Wozniowski,
00:24once earned $9 million and $7 million per year, respectively, according to The Post.
00:28Amid the photo scandal, Rossini resigned on April 14th, two months before her contract was reportedly up.
00:34Then in May, she told The Times via text message that her life had been heavily impacted by the ordeal,
00:40citing intense scrutiny and personal attacks, adding,
00:43This has had a significant impact on my life, both professionally and personally.
00:47It's one big, messy story, so to help break down the timeline,
00:50here's what our very own Teresa Rocca reported earlier this year.
00:54Exclusive new photos obtained by Page Six show Diana Rossini and Mike Rabel
00:58all over each other at a secluded New York City bar,
01:01six years before they were caught holding hands and hugging at an Arizona resort.
01:06The New England Patriots coach and the NFL reporter were spotted together
01:09inside the dimly-lit Tribeca Tavern in the early hours of March 11th, 2020.
01:15They sat close to each other while conversing at the bar,
01:18at one point appearing to share a kiss.
01:20An eyewitness told Page Six,
01:22They were kissing and they were all over each other.
01:25He had a ring on.
01:25At the time the photos were snapped, Rabel was already married to wife Jen,
01:29while Rossini said,
01:30I do, to her now husband, Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt,
01:35just six months later.
01:36Both shared two kids with their respective partners.
01:39The sportscaster and the NFL coach,
01:42whose wedding ring was visible in the photos,
01:44were very close to each other throughout the evening,
01:46according to our insider,
01:48who witnessed Rossini's legs in between Rabel's legs.
01:51The eyewitness told Page Six that Rossini and Rabel were at the hole-in-the-wall bar
01:55at around 12 a.m. and stayed for at least an hour, flying under the radar.
02:00They were having a glorious time.
02:02They were giving each other pecs, a bunch of pecs constantly, the source added.
02:06There was nobody in there.
02:07Nobody knew who they were.
02:09I don't think even the bartenders did.
02:11At the time the photos were snapped,
02:13Rabel was working as head coach of the Tennessee Titans,
02:15while Rossini was an NFL reporter at ESPN extensively covering the team.
02:20The reporter posted a photo of herself on set with an ESPN host
02:24just hours before her bar outing with Rabel,
02:26joking in the caption,
02:27a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead walk into a bar.
02:30Reps for Rossini and Rabel have not responded to Page Six's request for comment.
02:35The bombshell new pics come six years
02:37of her Page Six obtained photos of Rossini and Rabel
02:39holding hands and hugging at the Ambiente in Sedona, Arizona.
02:43We previously reported that the two enjoyed breakfast
02:46on the patio of the hotel restaurant on the morning of March 28th,
02:50later hanging out at the pool for about an hour
02:52before lounging side-by-side in the hot tub.
02:55They were also spotted on the private rooftop
02:57of one of the hotel's over $2,000 a night bungalows,
03:01an area that's only accessible from the two-person bungalows.
03:05Rossini had been working as a top sports reporter for The Athletic
03:08when the first set of photos were released earlier this month.
03:11While the company initially supported her,
03:13she resigned from her position amid their investigation into the photos.
03:17The Athletic's investigation remains ongoing.
03:20Meanwhile, Rabel broke his silence on the scandal earlier this week
03:23during a pre-NFL draft press conference
03:25at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
03:28Rabel revealed he had some difficult conversations
03:31with people that he cares about, including his family,
03:34the organization, the coaches, and the players,
03:36that were positive and productive in light of the photodrama.
03:40Then on Wednesday, Rabel told ESPN he will miss
03:43day three of the NFL draft to enter counseling.
