Epic Games battle pass changes are doing one thing very clearly: turning “limited” cosmetics into rented access. IGN says Fortnite is bringing old Battle Pass skins back in the next update, which means the exclusivity pitch just got exposed. If old skins can be resold, the real product was never ownership — it was scarcity theater. The question now is whether Epic is killing exclusivity or admitting it was always a lease.
