00:00"-I guess esports is what white and Asian kids have been doing while black kids were
00:04inventing hip-hop."
00:07This week's SNL found Chance the Rapper pulling off double duty once again as host
00:12and musical guest for the evening. Sporting a Chicago Teachers Union shirt, the
00:16Chicago-based rapper kicked off hosting duties with an opening monologue where he
00:19voiced his support for the CTU in their ongoing strike.
00:22"-To the teachers in Chicago, I know you guys are on strike right now. I fully support you."
00:27Switching gears a bit, the rapper also delivered an old-school rap ode to his second city.
00:32"-Yeah, I'm the kind of guy that likes the second best bet. I think Chicago is better than the rest."
00:37As host, Chance appeared in a number of funny sketches throughout the night, including
00:41a musical skit where he played a ghost who really doesn't want to relive his messy death.
00:46"-One dark night with a moon so red, what killed me happened and now I'm dead. Happy Halloween."
00:55And an absurd skit alongside Cecily Strong where the two could barely keep it together,
00:59playing flying lovebirds wrecking havoc in a restaurant.
01:02"-This will do nicely."
01:04"-I'll get the glasses."
01:12On the music front, Chance performed songs from his The Big Day album, including
01:16Zanies and Fools, and even brought out Megan Thee Stallion for her SNL debut to perform
01:29their team up, Handsome.
01:31"-Before I let you go, I had to have some rich chicks, so you know I got my pants up."
01:40Other highlights from the night included SNL's usual politically driven cold open, which was a mock
01:44presidential rally inviting several Trump supporters on stage to offer insight into what's
01:49really happening across the country.
01:51"-Uh, I think you got a couple of typos on that shirt."
01:54"-No, this was taken verbatim from one of your tweets, therefore it's correct."
01:59The skit featured two presidential reprisals thanks to Alec Baldwin returning as Donald Trump
02:04and alum Daryl Hammond bringing back his Bill Clinton impression.
02:07"-Bill, why are you at a Trump rally?"
02:09"-Is that what this is? I just followed the party."
02:13And finally, what's SNL without some big-name cameos sprinkled in? This week's edition featured
02:18a surprising and yet hilarious appearance from Aquaman actor Jason Momoa.
02:23"-Excuse me? She stole from me first."
02:26"-Oh really? What did she steal?"
02:28"-My heart."
02:30Donning an animal print fur coat and his trademark long locks, Momoa showed up during a skit where
02:35Chance, as Judge Barry, handed out guilty verdicts in court based on first impressions.
