00:11With the Lizzie McGuire reboot underway at Disney+, fans have been wondering if all the
00:16original stars will be returning for the new series. Well, we can now add another
00:20familiar face to that list and I think we've all been waiting for this one.
00:24We already know that THE Lizzie McGuire herself, Hilary Duff, is returning to star
00:28in the revival which will follow the lovable Disney Channel character who's now a 30-something
00:32navigating life in New York City. The new streaming service also recently announced that
00:36the entire McGuire clan, aka Halle Todd and Robert Carradine as Lizzie's parents Joe and Sam
00:41McGuire, and Jake Thomas as Lizzie's adorable little brother Matt, are all coming back to
00:46reprise their roles in the series. But in the casting news all of us Lizzie fans have been
00:50waiting for, we've just learned that Adam Lamberg has been confirmed to return to the
00:54cast as Lizzie's wise-beyond-his-years best friend David Gordon, aka Gordo. Duff herself
01:00spoke out about the exciting news for Lizzie McGuire fans, saying,
01:16Aside from Lamberg's role as a smart and snarky middle schooler, the actor has largely stayed
01:21out of the spotlight, last appearing in 2008's teen drama Beautiful Loser.
01:25So now that we have confirmation on Gordo, we're still waiting on a couple others.
01:29Miranda.
01:30Although there's no word on a premiere date just yet, the Disney Plus sequel was picked up
01:35straight to series in August, with production beginning earlier this month.
01:38The reboot will revolve around a 30-year-old Lizzie with, of course, her animated
01:4213-year-old alter ego still by her side.
01:51She has a dream job as an assistant to a fancy New York City decorator, the
01:54picture-perfect Brooklyn apartment, and her dream guy, which, sorry to break it to you
01:58fans, we learned is not Gordo. But you know what? There's still hope.
02:02Duff is executive producing the series alongside Rachel Winter and original series
02:05creator Terry Pinsky, who's also serving as showrunner on the comedy.
