If prerelease predictions are any indication, Jennifer Lopez is poised to make a notable box office comeback this weekend with the debut of ‘Hustlers,’ a female-ensemble film also starring Constance Wu.

00:11Hustlers. The female ensemble picture starring Jennifer Lopez is tracking to gross
00:15$25 million in its domestic debut, which would be a career best for the actress-slash-singer.
00:21The critically acclaimed film is based on a 2015 New York Magazine article about a group of
00:26strippers who team up to con wealthy men in order to survive the Great Recession. The flick,
00:30which was particularly praised for Lopez's performance, had its world premiere at the Toronto
00:35Film Festival earlier this month. The actress has also been receiving early Oscar buzz for her role.
00:40The actress's last career high for a live-action opening was Monster In-Law, which was released
00:45more than a decade ago in 2005 and earned $23.1 million at the box office.
00:50Hustlers, which also stars Constance Wu, Kiki Palmer, Lili Reinhart and Cardi B, among other big names,
00:57opens everywhere Friday and currently boasts a 95 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
