00:15First up, Ronan Farrow is teaming up with HBO for a new documentary investigating threats
00:20against journalists worldwide.
00:21The untitled doc is the first to go into production under a multi-film deal the Catch and Kill
00:25author signed with the premium cable outlet in 2018.
00:28The three-year pact calls for him to produce and front a series of investigative documentary
00:33specials for HBO.
00:34Farrow said,
00:35"...around the world journalists are under fire.
00:38They're being spied on using new surveillance technology, imprisoned, even murdered."
00:42And we're seeing evolving tactics deployed against reporters in the United States, too,
00:46against the backdrop of a new era of misinformation campaigns and rhetoric that seeks to undermine
00:52the very idea of objective reporting.
00:54The latest Star Wars film has joined an exclusive club, the Billion Dollar Club.
00:58The Rise of Skywalker has officially crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office.
01:03It reached the milestone on Tuesday, just 28 days since its release.

01:09The heavily buzzed-about film, which closes out the Skywalker saga that George Lucas first
01:13brought to the big screen 42 years ago earned $481.3 million, along with $519.7 million overseas
01:22for a worldwide tally of $1.001 billion.
01:27A big question now is where the Disney and Lucasfilm's tentpole will land in comparison to the
01:31last installment, Star Wars The Last Jedi, which topped out at $1.33 billion globally.
01:37Box office analysts believe Skywalker has a shot at $1.2 billion to $1.25 billion.
01:43Thanks, Neha, Rise of Skywalker capped a record-shattering year for Disney, which has now incredibly
01:47seen seven of its 2019 releases join the Billion Dollar Club.
01:51And the Beastie Boys are headed to Apple TV+.
01:53The documentary Beastie Boys Story from Spike Jonze has been picked up by Apple's streaming service.

02:05The documentary about the legendary hip-hop group behind hits like Fight for Your Right to Party
02:10is directed by Jones, and features Grammy Award-winning band members Mike Diamond, a.k.a. Mike D.,
02:16and Adam Horowitz, a.k.a. Ad-Rock, talking about their music career and 40-year friendship.
02:21The film debuts globally on Apple TV+, on April 24th.
02:25Mike D. and Ad-Rock, along with the late MCA, formed the hip-hop group.
02:28And it's worth noting that Jones also directed the music video for the Beastie Boys' 1994 hit single,
02:34Sabotage.
