00:07Thank you, Dad.
00:11Dad!
00:15Hello?
00:16I'm on the doorbell, not your phone.
00:21What do you mean, you're on the doorbell?
00:24Hi, you are currently being recorded.
00:27Your house is a camera.
00:32At any given time, tens of millions of homes are recording your every move.
00:43And if you're watching at just the right moment...
00:55I'm so sorry.
00:56You'll catch your neighbors when they thought no one was looking.
01:03I have never in my life heard Matt shriek like that.
01:06It was crazy.
01:07Come join.
01:14The Neighborhood Watch.
01:16You are currently being recorded.
01:32A couple is surprised to find their umbrella upside down.
01:37I don't know how that happened.
01:38The chair was knocked over, too.
01:40You think it happened...
01:41It didn't happen in the storm last night, did it?
01:43Yeah.
01:44Isn't that odd?
01:45Geez, did we get that big of a gust today?
01:55Oh, my God.
01:59That just happened.
02:02Oh.
02:03Something just snuck into this house through an open patio door.
02:07Oh, my God.
02:29what the hell are you okay yeah i couldn't get the car in your heart
02:38called big booty queen this kid has just written a new rap song ready i'm a king with a big
02:46booty
02:46queen we went to booga king got a big fat powder heavier than my big booty queen dang that's crazy
02:51and then i said why do you look like a father for not 200 day get out of my
02:56get out to the guy who worked at booga king and then he said my big booty queen is fat
03:02then i threw him out of the window because we don't talk about that guy
03:14a couple is about to get a surprise visit being up in western north carolina up in a national
03:21rainforest essentially we're surrounded by a ton of wildlife it's a big appeal for the area just
03:26being with nature and never knowing what you're going to experience right every time you walk out
03:31the door or something i'm just sitting on the couch with my coffee and my two dogs
03:42and all i hear is matt scream like homer simpson and i'm like what in the world
03:53i have never in my life heard matt shriek like that it was crazy it was just so unexpected
03:59that it just the initial reaction was just is there really a bat inside with us
04:07my brain was saying get to the door but in the process of that the bat was still circling and
04:13diving it swooped right at my head several times
04:21i always stay cool in high pressure situations it's my superpower
04:27i just kept saying that open the door and he wasn't he was running around screaming and so yes
04:32i wasn't nobody else was reacting so i felt like i had to make up for the dog's lack of
04:37reaction and
04:38and jenny's lack of reaction sometimes i call matt the nuclear reactor
04:51the more matt moved the more the bat would swoop at just him
04:55which made me very thankful because i was trying to contain both of the dogs i just had to keep
05:00my
05:00cool while that bat chased matt everywhere but what i've since learned is that the best thing to do
05:04is actually back yourself up against the wall because bats really can't see all right it's on the
05:09ceiling once i got the door open the bat had perched itself up on a beam on our ceiling and
05:18that
05:18was it it didn't fly after that where's jason where's jason jason is one of the wildlife experts um kind
05:27of who you call if you have squirrels in your attic or a bear in your crawl space i don't
05:33know
05:37we already had called because we knew we still had a few bats outside we were doing some work in
05:42our
05:42chimneys and they were coming down our chimney into our screen porch but it never occurred to me in a
05:48million years that there was one inside i pointed out where the bat was we showed it to him and
05:53he he
05:54did his job and uh safely removed the bat it was a happy ending i think if it were to
06:01happen again
06:01maybe a little less shrieking but that's what made it look funny right
06:19well
06:21well
07:01a furniture move becomes family
07:04legend.
07:05I have to wait, Max.
07:07I thought, oh, I can balance this.
07:09Let's go.
07:21This delivery guy is looking for a shortcut.
07:35Fine.
07:44I'm fine.
07:49Fine.
07:51Fine.
07:53Fine.
07:54Fine.
07:57Fine.
07:58Fine.
07:58Lana, w platsen.
08:02Thank you, Max.
08:04With the cutie.
08:18This man is preparing for a mulch delivery.
08:47At this home, a family is trying to move the desk.
08:50Now, Matt, when you start to pull it out, you're going to have to be pretty strong.
08:55I was going to grad school, and I decided that I would want a desk in order to become a
09:00real scholar.
09:01And I was going to use the desk to do scholarly stuff.
09:04And rather than spend money on, like, a new desk, I decided that I would like to have the very
09:10fancy, very heavy old oak desk that my parents had up in the upstairs of our house.
09:16In other words, you were cheap.
09:19Yeah, that's a good way of putting it.
09:21You don't want to break the gutter, so you just want to have the gutter as, like, a handling point.
09:26There's only one room upstairs, and it's a spiral staircase to get up.
09:29So anything that gets up there has to come over the balcony.
09:31So we had decided, I had decided, that we were just going to pick it up and lift it and
09:37set it down without realizing that it's about a 200-pound desk.
09:41It was not 200 pounds.
09:43There's some discrepancy about the weight.
09:47Nah, bring it down.
09:48Slowly.
09:50Max, you go on the back end.
09:51The plan was simple.
09:54Me and my mother were going to lower it down to my brother, at which point I would run downstairs
09:59to help Sam.
10:01I thought that I would be strong enough to lift 700 pounds over my head.
10:05It's getting heavier and heavier.
10:07Now I want you to gently bring it down, and I will let you know when I have it.
10:12When I heard about it, my first question was, don't you want to wait until your dad comes home?
10:16And they both were like, oh, no, we got this.
10:19We can do it.
10:19And I thought, oh, well then, okay.
10:22Let me see how that turned out.
10:25Keep on coming.
10:26Give it an angle.
10:27Give it an angle, Max.
10:28I can have, I have to wait, Max.
10:30Sam's yelling at us to give it an angle, and to this day, our family still doesn't quite know what
10:34he meant by that.
10:36So now, whenever someone says or does something completely imbecilic, we say, oh, give it an angle.
10:42Give it an angle.
10:43Got it?
10:43Yes, no.
10:45Max, go.
10:46Oh, my God, I dropped it.
10:47Mom, you're fine.
10:49Let go.
10:49You're not doing anything.
10:50God bless our mother.
10:52She did everything to try to help.
10:53It was a high-pressure situation, and I was 22 years old.
10:56It was very low pressure.
10:58It was moving a desk.
10:59You try having 1,000 pounds over your head.
11:02Sam likes to make it sound like Abraham Lincoln, saying the Gettysburg Address on this desk.
11:08This particle board, MDF, whatever you want to call it.
11:11What do I do?
11:12Nothing.
11:13Just let go.
11:14When that desk hit me in the head, I immediately thought, oh, I can balance this.
11:20And I take those wobbly steps, and then my next thought is, I don't have this.
11:25This is just not going to end well.
11:27Okay.
11:33It hurt my pride more than anything else.
11:36It's still together.
11:37Just one leg came up.
11:38I wasn't super concerned that he was concussed.
11:42I wasn't...
11:43In fact, that didn't even occur to me that he could be.
11:45We do think he's still brain damaged.
11:47I think that happened long before this incident.
11:49This could be repaired.
11:50Did you drop it?
11:51We did.
11:52I worked in a high school, and I was sitting in a study hall, and my phone went ding.
12:03I didn't even know we had a ring doorbell, so I had absolutely no idea this was going to be
12:07permanently
12:08recorded.
12:08Well, I just wish I had a shirt on during the video.
12:12One of the legs he's broken.
12:14He would glue that back on, though.
12:16And then the backhand.
12:18He threw it back in.
12:19Otherwise, it's fine.
12:20I did end up taking it to graduate school.
12:23The irony is, it only served as basically a shelf.
12:27It was, yeah, it was basically a shelf or a giant paperweight.
12:29I didn't use it at all.
12:30So we didn't have to worry about it again.
12:32Just got to give it an angle next time, man.
12:39This dad is enjoying the VR set he got for Christmas.
12:43It's my dad right now.
12:53This kid is also playing with virtual reality.
12:59You good?
13:00No.
13:02What happened?
13:03I just ran into the tree, don't you?
13:08This little boy's Halloween is about to take an unexpected turn.
13:12I didn't think this through, like, uh-oh.
13:15They may not appreciate my humor.
13:27The back stuff is new, but the pipes are old.
13:37In this house, a window has been left open while no one is home.
13:56This tired nurse is used to scanning her key fob at work.
14:18Oh, my God.
14:30It's a silly one.
14:31It is silly.
14:33I love Halloween since I was a kid.
14:36Trick-or-treaters coming at the door is, like, one of my favorite things.
14:39I love it, and I try to make it really fun for them.
14:42There she is.
14:44I do love wearing an inflatable costume.
14:47Where are you?
14:48This way.
14:50I have dressed up as a dinosaur.
14:52Got caught by the branches.
14:54Out walking my dog in the middle of the day, or just random things like that.
15:01My silly side really comes out during Halloween.
15:05You're killing me.
15:07Where's your face?
15:08I wanted to surprise you.
15:10We moved in 2022, and so we were actually fairly new to the neighborhood.
15:14Being this was our first year in the house, I was really looking forward to Halloween that year.
15:21I had to get a costume for my sister's Halloween party, and when I saw the chicken, I just thought
15:25it was hilarious to me, so I got it.
15:28I just remember pacing the house, because you can't sit down in it.
15:32For it to stay fully inflated, you have to keep it on.
15:36And, you know, talking to my husband, I'm like, what if nobody comes?
15:39And that's when I heard the little knock.
15:45What do you think?
15:46Please don't think I'm a creepy neighbor.
15:53I was so excited to greet my first trick-or-treater, and he absolutely has a meltdown.
16:01I didn't think this through, like, uh-oh.
16:04Like, I'm new to the neighborhood.
16:05Nobody knows me.
16:07They may not appreciate my humor.
16:10Send me your therapy, Dylan.
16:12I'm sorry.
16:14I couldn't get out of the thing fast enough, so I'm trying to take the costume off to let them
16:18know that it's safe.
16:19You know, I'm not a real chicken.
16:21Mm-hmm.
16:22Bye.
16:22We'll talk later.
16:24He wouldn't even take candy from me.
16:26Like, I was trying to give him candy.
16:27He didn't want any.
16:29He wanted nothing to do with me.
16:33Thank you, guys.
16:35I feel terrible.
16:37I feel so bad.
16:40He cried the whole way down the driveway, and I just felt terrible.
16:44So that's when I got the nickname Chicken Lady.
16:46That has carried with me.
16:47I have had neighbors remind me that they still think of me as a chicken lady.
16:52And I actually worried about the little boy for the whole year.
16:56It never left my mind.
16:58I didn't have closure on it until the next Halloween when they came back.
17:01The dogs are losing it.
17:03Oh, that is okay.
17:04Wait, the rocks are not free to take away.
17:06Do you remember when you answered the door last year in the chicken costume?
17:09Was it you?
17:10Do you need to break it up?
17:12Was it just you?
17:13Oh, my gosh.
17:14Is it you?
17:15Do you remember the chicken?
17:17Are you the pizza?
17:18Yeah.
17:19I was the chicken.
17:20That was what I was waiting for.
17:22And so we had that reunion there, and it was really cool.
17:25And that's when I actually got to show them the video.
17:27They thought it was hilarious.
17:34I'm still going to dress up.
17:35I still think it's hilarious and still have a lot of fun with it.
17:39But I did not ever answer the door in an inflatable ever again.
17:44I probably won't.
17:47This was a one and done.
17:52This dad is trying to get rid of a wasp's nest.
17:55I can absolutely hear with this football.
17:57Do it.
17:58Do it.
17:59They're ready to run because they're going to come.
18:01Do it.
18:03Oh, s***.
18:05Get up.
18:06Oh!
18:12What's that?
18:19Are you okay?
18:21Yeah, I'm okay.
18:22What?
18:34Holy hell.
18:49A woman hanging curtains is about to make a big mistake.
19:18I've got a big mistake.
19:45This man's garage door seems to be stuck.
20:03A woman without a step stool uses a paint bucket instead.
20:07A woman without a step stool uses a paint bucket instead.
20:25God damn it!
20:28Bye.
20:30Be careful on the stairs, they might be slippery.
20:36Yep.
20:37They're slippery.
20:38You okay?
20:41That's black ice.
20:43A woman is traveling home for Christmas with gifts for her family.
20:47That's a good one.
20:48He left me.
20:51I'm a little little.
20:53I'm a little bit.
20:58I'm a little bit off of the stairs.
21:00I'm a little bit off of the stairs.
21:11I'm a little bit off of the stairs.
