00:00The nominations for the 55th annual ACM Awards are finally here.
00:05The Academy of Country Music announced the big news on Thursday morning with Maren Morris,
00:09Thomas Rhett and producer Dan Hough leading the pack with five nods each.
00:13Maren Morris earned her five nominations in four categories including
00:17Female Artist of the Year, Group of the Year for her work with The High Women,
00:21Album of the Year for Girl and Music Event of the Year for her appearance on
00:25Miranda Lambert's Fooled Around and Fell in Love.
00:35Meanwhile, Thomas Rhett's five nominations also came in four categories including
00:39Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, Video of the Year and Male Artist of the Year.
00:44For worse or for better, from now till forever, I'll always remember you young.
00:52Trailing closely behind on the nominee list are Dan and Shay alongside Justin Bieber,
00:56Blake Shelton and Old Dominion with four nominations apiece.
01:00And rounding out the list of multiple nominees are Eric Church, Luke Combs,
01:04Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBride and Kacey Musgraves who all scored three nominations each.
01:09Another big announcement made on nomination day was who is hosting the award show,
01:13while that honor will go to none other than 15-time ACM award winner and last year's
01:19Entertainer of the Year, Keith Urban.
01:21The all-star country music event is set to air live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on
01:25Sunday, April 5th on CBS.
