As it heads into production in Los Angeles, Netflix's Marilyn Monroe movie 'Blonde' has rounded out its cast.

00:00Netflix is rounding out its cast for the new Marilyn Monroe movie.
00:05The film, titled Blonde, is currently heading into production with Ana de Armas
00:09set to play the old Hollywood icon. The streamer has also announced that the
00:13actress will be starring in the film alongside Adrian Brody, Bobby Cannavale
00:18and Julianne Nicholson. Jackie actor Casper Philipson, Toby Huss, Sarah Paxton,
00:24David Warshawski along with Evan Williams and Xavier Samuel round out the cast for the
00:29feature which is being written and directed by the assassination of Jesse James'
00:33Andrew Dominick. Blonde is based on Joyce Carol Oates' novel of the same name that tells
00:37the boldly reimagined private story of Hollywood's and the world's most famous sex symbol.
00:42The film will be a fictional portrait of the model, actress and singer during the 50s
00:46and 60s told through the modern lens of celebrity culture. De Armas will next be seen in
00:51Bond 25 and Rian Johnson's murder mystery, Knives Out, and is also in talks to star
00:55opposite Ben Affleck in Patricia Highsmith's thriller novel, Deep Water.
