00:00Hi everyone. I'm coming on here to say that starting on Monday, June 29th, I will be back in my
00:07role as District 9 Supervisor.
00:11I left the work that I love so much, not because I wanted to, but because my mental health demanded
00:18it.
00:19And I say that with no shame.
00:22I want to thank my friends and my family for coming to my aid and wrapping their arms around me
00:30with such deep love and non-judgment.
00:36It is really due to their service of me that I'm able to come back and serve District 9 in
00:44San Francisco.
00:45I also want to thank my staff who have continued to do the work for our constituents in my absence.
00:53Jen, Anna, Sasha, Sheila have served Mission Bernal and Portola faithfully in my absence and continue to ensure that our
01:04constituents are heard and that their requests are fulfilled.
01:08Thank you for all of your work these past few months.
01:12I want to thank all of you for all of your kind words that meant the world to me when
01:22I was feeling very alone.
01:28This leave and even my whole adult life has been an entire journey on mental health.
01:34And I know I'm not the only one who struggles with it.
01:38I just have the immense privilege of having all of you and being able to have the incredible support system
01:46that I do and have all of you to really keep me going.
01:53And I don't take that for granted.
