00:00Today, I'm going to be talking about a disturbing new trend that has appeared in California and that
00:05is sweeping the nation. And it is the deliberate targeting of cafe owners or cafe customers who
00:12are perceived to be Israeli, pro-Israel or Jewish. We saw this last year at the Jerusalem Coffee
00:18House, which is owned by a Palestinian in Oakland. He was accused of discriminating against Jewish
00:23customers. And just this past week, a TikTok influencer has been invading a coffee house
00:29in Los Angeles saying to customers that the owner is Israeli and pro-Israel and that they should leave.
00:34This mirrors a trend that we've seen in New York, where just this past week, Congressman Dan Goldman
00:40was targeted by a cafe owner who refunded his money, saying he didn't want any money from someone who
00:45he perceived as being supportive of, quote unquote, genocide. Why is this happening? Well, on October
00:517th, 2023, Palestinian terrorists from Hamas and other terror groups targeted Israeli civilians in
00:57Israel. And the subsequent Israeli response has been controversial. But the war's been over for
01:03months. So what's going on? Well, one thing is that there are debates within the Democratic Party,
01:08which is going through some very contentious primaries at the moment, about what the party's
01:12orientation toward Israel should be. And the Democratic Socialists who are pushing an anti-Israel
01:16line appear to be winning many primaries. On the right, you have the podcasting fringe, represented by
01:23Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and others who have been marginalized within policy debates, but who
01:27still have a broad influence in social media. The irony of these cafe boycotts, all of which are
01:33illegal under civil rights laws, is that many of the most prominent targets of terror attacks within
01:38Israel by Palestinian terrorists have in fact been cafes. So it's tragic that in a place where people
01:43come together to meet, so many people are experiencing so much discrimination and hatred.
