The actor, who played the Dark Knight in 'Batman & Robin,' recalls giving Affleck simple advice: "Don't do it."

00:10George Clooney spoke to Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast to promote his
00:13Emmy-contending Hulu limited series Catch-22 and discussed his prior career
00:18choices including his time as Gotham City's vigilante as well as the advice he
00:22gave to fellow Batman Ben Affleck.
00:24In regards to playing the historic comic book character and his experience on
00:281997's Batman & Robin, the actor, producer, director explains that it's one that changed his
00:32entire approach to his career and taught him an important lesson about how the movie
00:36industry works.
00:37Clooney says,
00:51Clooney also shared how he had the opportunity to work with fellow actor Ben Affleck
00:55on Argo, which Clooney was producing at the time.
00:57This meant that the former Bruce Wayne had an opportunity to give some advice to the future
01:01Bruce Wayne before Affleck accepted the role to play the Dark Knight in 2016's Batman
01:06vs. Superman, Dawn of Justice.
01:08But his advice was probably not something Affleck was looking for.
01:11Clooney says,
01:15But the actor was still kind enough to add that the latter Batman did great though.
