00:05Do you ever feel like it's a Game of Thrones world and we're just living in it?
00:09Well, there's a reason for that.
00:10In news that should come as a surprise to no one, the HBO drama's final season premiere on Sunday night
00:15saw ratings surge to a new series high.
00:19I promise to fight for the living.
00:23I intend to keep that promise.
00:26HBO cites a total 17.4 million viewers tuning in over the course of the night,
00:32besting the previous record by half a million.
00:34That tally includes 11.8 million viewers watching the first-run telecast
00:38and a 50% jump in viewers on the streaming platform HBO Now.
00:44Everything you did brought you where you are now.
00:50Where you belong.
00:51These early numbers mean Game of Thrones may very well wrap its eight seasons on the cable network,
00:56consistently bringing in more viewers every season,
00:59with the seventh and most recent totaling 32.8 million viewers per episode,
01:04once all views were factored in.
01:06Our enemy doesn't tire, doesn't stop, doesn't feel.
01:14Now, here's a look at what's coming to Thrones next week.
