00:14And the 45-year-old supermodel stopped by Good Morning America to talk all about it.
00:18This marks the America's Next Top Model creator's third turn as a SI swimsuit cover star.
00:22Banks made her SI swimsuit debut in 1993. In 1996, she appeared on the cover for the first time
00:28alongside fellow model Valeria Maza. Then, one year later in 1997, Banks made history as the first
00:34black woman to earn a solo cover spot. Now, over 20 years later, Banks is gracing the cover once again.

00:46In a statement SI swimsuit editor MJ Day said,
00:49Since Tyra's first cover in 1996, she's transformed herself into nothing less than a mogul,
00:54a cultural force, and a supernova of inspiration and empowerment.
00:58This year's two other cover stars are U.S. national women's soccer player and Olympic gold medalist Alex Morgan
01:04and 2018 SI swimsuit model search winner Camille Kostek.
