00:00Scotland, should they be more ambitious at a World Cup?
00:03The 1-0 defeat to Morocco puts them in a precarious position
00:06as they attempt to reach the knockout stage of a World Cup for the first time.
00:10There may be some regrets.
00:12Steve Clarke has said it is typical Scotland to beat Haiti
00:15and then face two top 10 teams in the world in Morocco
00:18and now Brazil in Miami next week.
00:21But should Scotland be aiming for more?
00:23It took until 10-15 minutes to go in the game last night at the Boston Stadium
00:27for Steve Clarke to really have a go.
00:30Ganondoke with a bit of pace made a difference
00:32and there might be some regrets about that Haiti game.
00:36Should they have pushed for a win by more than a goal?
00:38It's an interesting debate around teams outside the juggernauts,
00:43the big favourites, and how they assemble their teams,
00:46how they build around one or two top top players.
00:49And Scotland are no different really to some of these teams
00:52who have a couple of really good players.
00:54Scott McTominay last night, I would say,
00:57would be maybe the second best player on the pitch
00:59after Ashraf Hakimi.
01:01Brahim Diaz you could make an argue for.
01:03Steve Clarke really should be building around somebody like that.
01:06You look at John McGinn for Aston Villa
01:08has proven himself on the big stage.
01:09So there's enough talent there,
01:11but should Scotland be aiming for more?
01:13Only after that Brazil game will we know
01:16whether Steve Clarke has got it right.
01:17All right.
