00:30And they had, you know, remember the big line of tanks, right?
00:33And they had some general who probably is no longer with us.
00:37He decided rather than going right into Kiev and ending the war on the first day,
00:43I don't think anyone even knows this story,
00:45that he would go through the farmland and through the dirt and the mud.
00:51And they had a record-setting rainstorm a couple of days before.
00:56And those tanks got stuck in that mud.

01:03And they took out the tanks.

01:16And everybody said, what's wrong?

01:28And then they came to hit them with satellites.
01:30They were locked in quicksand, practically.
01:33You know, it was mud, like quicksand.
01:34They couldn't move.
01:37Had the general just—it tells you, that's why war is always risky.
01:40Had this general just gone right up the concrete highway,
01:44they would have been in Kiev within four hours.
01:47And there wasn't a damn thing that Ukraine was going to do about it.
01:51That war would have been over in one day.
01:53That was four and a half years ago.
01:56So that was a terrible mistake.
01:58And here's a general decides, rather than going up the middle of a highway,
02:03right into the town, they couldn't have done anything.
02:06They were totally unprepared.
02:09And not only that, when they wiped out all these tanks, it gave them confidence.
