03:38I wonder who it could be?
03:40I'll just go and see
03:45Hi Spencer
03:45Hi Miss Hooley
03:47Hi guys
03:48Hi Miss Spencer
03:51I thought the children weren't going to start painting until I got here this afternoon
03:53This afternoon?
03:55Remember?
03:56I'd arranged to pick up lots of coloured paper from Edie's friend on the mainland
03:59We were going to make pictures with it
04:00Oh yes, I remember now
04:02I'm so sorry Spencer
04:04And all the excitement I totally forgot you were coming in today
04:07I know I'll make you a fruit smoothie to say sorry
04:13Excitement?
04:14What excitement?
04:15Well, I've got a very special visitor staying with me
04:18She's a storyteller
04:20A storyteller?
04:22Yes, and she's really looking forward to telling the children a story outside in the garden for a change
04:27Well, it's such a sunny day, isn't it?
04:29Yeah
04:30Say, do you think she'd like me to paint some pictures to help her tell the story?
04:33She might
04:34I know, why don't you pop along to my house and ask her after your fruit smoothie?
04:38I just might do that
04:41So, what flavour smoothie is it?
04:44Banana
04:44Banana
04:45Banana
04:46My favourite
04:58Oh, Spencer
04:59What?
05:01Oh!
05:03Guess I enjoyed my smoothie a bit too much
05:05Oh good, would you like another?
05:07Oh no, no, no, one was more than enough
05:09Well, I guess I'd better go see if the storyteller needs my help
05:12See you later
05:13Bye
05:15So, which coloured house do you think Spencer will visit first today?
05:24Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
05:30Well, this part of the story in Ballamore
05:33He asks which is the house for me?
05:35Is it green?
05:38Is it red?
05:39Or should I go to the White House instead?
05:42Yellow
05:42Pink
05:43Orange
05:44Or blue
05:44Which coloured house am I going to?
05:47Green
05:48House

05:56Tell me what do you think?
06:04Which coloured house are we going to?
06:07Tell me what do you think?
06:10Which coloured house are we going to?
06:13Tell me what do you think?
06:16It's the greenhouse!
06:18Yes, it's the greenhouse, because that's where Miss Hooley lives.
06:26Hello, is anybody home?
06:30Oh, you must be Maureen, the storyteller Miss Hooley was telling me about.
06:34Yes, and you must be Spencer.
06:37Yes, how did you know that?
06:39A lucky guess. Miss Hooley's told me a few stories about you. You're a painter, right?
06:44Yep, I love to paint. Actually, that's why I'm here. I was wondering if I could help you tell the
06:50story with pictures.
06:52Pictures? Yes, that would be terrific.
06:55Cool! Okay, well, I'll just get home and get busy painting right away.
06:59Spencer, wait. Don't you think it'd be a good idea to find out what the story is first?
07:04Oh, silly Spencer. Yes. Okay, fire away.
07:10Well, it's about a leprechaun, a farmer, and a rainbow.
07:15Wow, a rainbow. I bet you need lots of bright colours for that, huh?
07:19I should imagine you would.
07:20And I know just the place to get them, Edie's. I'll see you later.
07:24I look forward to it. Bye.
07:36Hey Edie.
07:38Oh, hi Spencer. Have you come for the things you wanted from the mainland?
07:42Oh, yes, please. I need them to make a picture of a rainbow.
07:45A rainbow.
07:47So, where's all the coloured paper, Edie?
07:49Well, my friend had no coloured paper left, so she thought you might like these pieces of fabric instead.
07:57What? Well, this is white and grey. I can't make a rainbow out of these.
08:02You could always dye them rainbow colours if you wanted to.
08:07Oh, but I don't have time to dye and dry them before the story this afternoon.
08:11What am I gonna do?
08:12Well, now, don't get into it, Spencer. There is always a solution to every problem.
08:19Great. So, um, tell me what I should do.
08:21Well, uh, uh, aha! Oh-ho! You could always shine coloured light through the material. That might work.
08:31How do I do that?
08:32Well, uh, you would have to make a sort of, um, a light machine box kind of thingy that would
08:40throw out lots of coloured light, like a rainbow.
08:45Oh, you mean like, um, um, um, a film projector?
08:48Well, exactly. That's exactly what I'm saying. A film projector. There, that's your problem solved.
08:53But, Saweetie, uh, where do I get a film projector from?
08:57Ah, well, um, yes, good point.
08:59So, where's your solution now?
09:04I know. The very person who could make a light-throwing box thingy. No problem at all.
09:12Yeah? Who?
09:12Well, Balamori's genius inventor?
09:19Of course! Archie!
09:22Did I hear you say that you've got a confusion?
09:27Great inventions, groovy solutions!
09:30Super Archie's suffering through the solution.
09:34Great inventions, groovy solutions!
09:37Archie can make most anything. I can solve your problem, so give me a ring now.
09:45Yeah! Archie's inventions can help the nation.
09:49Great inventions, groovy solutions!
09:52Yeah, I've got a thing called imagination.
09:56Great inventions, groovy solutions!
09:59From crazy hats that help us sing,
10:03To pigs that fly with yogurt-pot wings, yeah!
10:07Great inventions, groovy solutions!
10:11Great inventions, groovy solutions!
10:13Do your cogs need declogging?
10:19Do your cogs need declogging?
10:22Has your sprocket sprung its screw?
10:29Do your cogs need?
10:32Do your cogs needs declogging?
10:34All moon事
10:35Well, with my inventions, I'll sort it out for you
10:41I know what to do
10:43Archie's such a clever chap, he knows a lot now
10:50I'm a scientific wonder
10:52With a yogurt pop now
10:54I'm a great invention, movie solutions
10:57Archie, yeah
11:08Hey there, Archie
11:09Ah, Spencer, just in time
11:11What do you think?
11:13About what?
11:14About this rocket, of course
11:15I made it for my nephew
11:17He loves everything to do with space, especially rockets
11:19Oh, that is great
11:21Does it fly?
11:24Fly?
11:24Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no
11:26It's much more useful than that
11:27Oh
11:28You see, the toothbrush is held in this holder here
11:32And then the toothpaste is dispensed through the nose of the cone, like so
11:38Brushing your teeth would be out of this world with one of these
11:41Ingenious, don't you think?
11:42Very
11:43So, what's the story in Balamori?
11:45Well, it all started when I popped into the nursery this morning
11:53Miss Hooley had forgotten about me coming in to paint with the children
11:57She'd asked the storyteller to tell the children a story instead
12:01I went to see the storyteller at Miss Hooley's house
12:03To see if she would like me to make some pictures to help tell the story
12:08She thought this was a good idea
12:09She said she was going to tell a story about a rainbow
12:13I went to pick up some colored paper from Edie
12:16But when I got there, all she had was lots of white and gray fabric
12:20Edie thought I might be able to use a rainbow-colored light to color the pieces of fabric
12:28So that's why I'm here, Archie
12:30I need a machine that throws off colored lights, like a projector
12:34I need it to shine colors right on to the fabric
12:39Hmm, a projector
12:42Right, first things first, where are you going to be using this projector?
12:46Well, Miss Hooley said the storyteller would be telling a story outside in the sunshine
12:50Not good, Spencer
12:51You see, for a projector to work properly, it needs to be in a very dark place
12:55You know, like in a cinema
12:56No, what am I going to do?
12:58I promise them a rainbow for story time
13:00Don't worry, Spencer, there's another way to make a rainbow
13:03And this way you do need it to be sunny
13:05Oh, cool
13:07How do we do it, Archie?
13:09With
13:10This
13:12What's that?
13:13Well, its technical name is a crystal, but
13:15I call it my pocket rainbow
13:18All right
13:22Oh, Archie, that is so neat
13:24Yes, it is rather neat, isn't it?
13:27But it's no good for me, because I need something bigger than a pocket-sized rainbow
13:30I need something that all the children can see clearly
13:34Something bigger?
13:35Mm-hmm
13:35I have it
13:36You do?
13:37Oh, yes, Spencer
13:37As long as it stays sunny, you shall have your rainbow
13:40And what a rainbow it shall be
13:43Now, meet me in the nursery in an hour
13:45And, er, and bring a hosepipe
13:48Okay
13:49A hosepipe?
13:50Mm, exactly
13:51Okay
13:59Now, everyone, I've got a very special friend here this morning called Maureen
14:04And she is going to tell you a very special story about a little leprechaun like this
14:11This story is about a little leprechaun, a farmer, and a rainbow
14:15One morning, the farmer woke and looked out into his grey rock-covered field
14:21But this morning, his field looked different
14:23For on top of one of the rocks sat a little leprechaun
14:26Dressed in a green suit of clothes
14:28And a little green hat
14:30Now, the farmer was smart enough to know that if you caught a leprechaun
14:34They would have to tell you where their pot of gold was hidden
14:36The greedy farmer couldn't resist this
14:38So he leapt across the rocky field in a flash
14:41He caught tight hold of the little leprechaun by his coat tails
14:45Before he could run and hide
14:48Oh, no, you don't
14:50Said the farmer as he held the leprechaun tightly
14:53You aren't going anywhere until you tell me where your pot of gold is hidden
14:57The little leprechaun knew the farmer was too strong to escape from
15:01So he gave a little smile
15:03Ha-ha!
15:05Me gold is not easy to find
15:07He chuckled
15:08The farmer asked if it was buried in his field
15:11Oh, yes
15:12In your field it is
15:14Said the leprechaun
15:16It's beneath that stone just over there
15:19The farmer looked towards the place the little leprechaun had pointed to
15:22But there were too many stones to choose from
15:24Which stone exactly, little leprechaun?
15:27Said the farmer
15:28If you tell me which, I will set you free
15:33The little leprechaun chuckled
15:36Me pot of gold is buried beneath the grey stone
15:39That lies at the end of the rainbow
15:41With this, a rainbow appeared to point the farmer
15:45Towards the stone beneath which was buried
15:47The leprechaun's pot of gold
15:50The greedy farmer let go of the leprechaun
15:52And skipped and danced around the stone
15:55I'm rich! At last! At last! I'm rich!
15:58He said happily
15:59But first, I must make sure I remember
16:01Which stone it is my gold is buried under
16:04With this, he placed a white handkerchief
16:07Over the rainbow stone
16:09There, he said to himself
16:11Now I can go and fetch me spade
16:13To dig up me treasure
16:15So, off trotted the greedy farmer
16:18To fetch his spade
16:19Leaving the leprechaun chuckling to himself
16:23Happy digging!
16:24He called after the greedy farmer
16:27Who stopped and turned to find
16:29Every rock in the field
16:30Magically covered in white handkerchiefs
16:34Oh no, said the greedy farmer
16:37I'll never be able to find the gold now
16:41The leprechaun laughed
16:44Maybe not today
16:45But watch out for a rainbow
16:47It just might point the way one day
16:49Oh, thank you Maureen for that magical story
16:53And thank you Spencer and Archie
16:55For that magical rainbow
16:56Big clap for Maureen if you want
16:58Yeah
17:05Oh, there you are
17:07So, what was the story in Balamore?
17:11Well
17:15It all started when I found a little Irish leprechaun
17:19On the cupboard shelf
17:22Spencer arrived
17:23And I told him about my friend Maureen
17:25The storyteller
17:26Who's coming to tell the children a story about a rainbow
17:30Spencer went to pick up some things from Edie
17:33To make the rainbow
17:34But they weren't helpful enough
17:38Archie came to the rescue
17:39He showed Spencer his pocket rainbow
17:43This gave him the idea to use a hosepipe
17:45Some water
17:46And the sunshine
17:47To make a wonderful rainbow in the nursery garden
17:50The children enjoyed seeing the rainbow
17:52And listening to the story
17:59Goodbye little leprechaun
18:00See you again soon
18:03And that goes for you too
