00:00I'm feeling amazing. I can't believe this. I don't think I would have ever seen this in my lifetime.
00:05The last time I remember hearing Haiti being in the World Cup was way before my time, 1974, more than
00:1250 years ago.
00:13My parents were kids at the time, so to see this today is just a dream come true.
00:17And, you know, as Haitians, most of us grew up being huge fans of Brazil anyway.
00:22So to be now on this stage, to be equals to them, playing in the World Cup and against them.
00:28And guess what, on June 19th, Juneteenth, I mean, we couldn't ask for a better day today, historic day for
00:34Haitians, for Brazilians, but most importantly for us Haitians, this means the world to me, so I'm excited.
00:40I think it will be a tough game. Everybody is thinking it will be easy, but I don't think so.
00:45I'll watch against the Scotland, so it was a tough game.
00:48So, but we have the best team, so we need to win, like, we need to score goals, like, I
00:57hope 3-0 today.
00:58So, I was born and raised in Haiti, so I've seen it, lived it, breathed it my whole life as
01:04a kid.
01:04Obviously Haiti, within our generation and a couple generations back, Haiti never really made it to the big stage, so
01:12we gravitated towards Brazil as that team that we all cheered on and the one that we supported.
01:18So, that goes way back, and even a lot of Brazilians, I can still remember the first time the Brazil
01:23team came to Haiti, and they were shocked to see how much the Haitians were supporting them.
01:27But to be here today, to see that we're on the same field and we're going to be playing against
01:31each other, it's nothing but love at the end of the day.
01:33So, win or lose for either team, we're still going to love each other, so it is what it is.
01:38Yeah, so both of the countries are so happy people, so everybody dance, I'm so happy with whatever happened.
01:44So, of course, we have political problems in both of the countries, but the people don't care about it.
01:50When you come to the World Cup, we don't care about the economy or things like that, so we just
01:54want to be happy and enjoy the game.
01:56Today, we're not Brazilian fans.
01:59Yeah, we're Haitians.
02:01Maybe yesterday, but not today, we're not friends today.
02:05All right, Haiti all the way.
02:07So, today, Brazil is dead for me, so we're about to win that game today and get Brazil for the
02:13next time.
02:14Yeah, they got next week, they got next week.
02:15All right, you guys heard it here first.
02:17We're not friends today, but we'll be friends tomorrow.
02:20We'll see you guys then.
02:22IET!
02:28We'll be back, bye-bye.
02:28Bye-bye.
02:29Bye-bye.
02:29Bye-bye.
02:29Bye-bye.
02:31Bye-bye.
