00:32and John Cale and The Velvet Underground and I love bands like Gang of Four and it's like would I

00:40that the record sounds like any of that no like I don't really think about genre in this like binary
00:44way yeah and I don't think people really have thought about genre in a binary way for like a
00:52very long time it's a good thing yeah I mean you know it's cool because I think things are so
00:58like cross-pollinated now just because of the internet and how much like access people have to
01:05be able to like make music at home which I think is really cool rock album not rock album I
01:12don't
01:12think I've made a rock album I think I've just made an album that has guitars and none of this
01:19bothers me
01:20it's like yeah I think confusion in art is sort of fun and I I don't know it's like everyone

01:27going to come up with their own interpretations of what artists do that's like the cool thing about
01:34being a fan like you get to do that
