00:00There's always a desire for audience to see comedy.
00:02Comedy will always work. It worked in the Depression. It worked in the war.
00:06People need to laugh. If they don't laugh, there's no perspective to their life.
00:09As Kelsey said, there is no life without humor, and I firmly believe in that.
00:15Life is really difficult without it.
00:17I think there is a humanness to what I do, that people relate to.
00:22I certainly relate to it.
00:24Television is about being comfortable with the people who are on the screen,
00:27and because they are in your home, and if you're not comfortable with them, you'll turn them off.
00:32So what I do is about being comfortable with these characters because they are in your home,
00:37and you do everything but serve them dinner one day a week,
00:41and it's my job to make them shower and be clean when they come into your home.
