President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced Thursday, June 18, that Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the release of 24 Filipinos held in Irkutsk, Siberia for nine months over immigration issues.

Marcos said he personally raised their case during his first bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was initially unaware of the case, and later confirmed the group had never been charged of any crime. (Video courtesy of RTVM)
