Today’s work, [The Crystal-Image], was written based on the "Crystal-Image (l'image-cristal)" and the theory of "Virtual Reality" by the master of modern philosophy, Gilles Deleuze. Deleuze described the Crystal-Image as a fleeting moment where the actual (the real figure) and the virtual (the reflected image) become indistinguishable from one another. Through the reflections endlessly replicated on the cold stainless steel walls and windows of a subway car, this project poses the ontological question: "Which one is the real me?"
The paradoxical moment when your gaze meets another "you" beyond the glass, and the reflection begins to read you back. Within this decisive moment where reality and illusion merge into one, I hope you enjoy a time of pleasant contemplation as you face the true countenance of your soul.
