00:01What does mean you will come back?
00:08What if I can't?
00:11The Odyssey is a massive story.
00:14That's a really exciting challenge to take on.
00:17This is definitely the biggest movie that I've ever done in my career.
00:21It feels like we made six or seven movies, and in a sense we did.
00:25Every single kind of chapter of this adventure
00:28was at a different location that posed a different challenge.
00:32You just know that the locations when you're telling a story like this
00:35are gonna be like characters unto themselves,
00:37so they have to be extra special.
00:38And so we found ourselves in these really amazing places.
00:44There are parts of the world that I don't think I would even have ever seen
00:47or known about had it not been for this experience.
00:51As an actress, it's such a luxury to be in such an immersive space.
00:55I don't have to pretend like I'm on a boat.
00:57I'm on the boat, you know? Like, we are at sea.
01:00What a gift, you know?
01:02There's a certain level of information that you learn when something is real.
01:07So when you go to these places, you just feel it,
01:09and it just adds another layer to what it is that you're trying to express.
01:14Action!
01:15One of the things I like about shooting on location
01:17is we're moving countries every couple of weeks.
01:21So it gives you this incredible momentum.
01:24The issue on this film is that we're shooting in extraordinary places
01:27that we're hard to get to, hard to shoot in.
01:30You know, normally if you're doing a Hollywood movie,
01:32the base camp is ten seconds away from the set.
01:35When you're shooting a Cresnoia movie, it's like,
01:37that's a 45-minute hike in sandals.
01:40They're full of costumes.
01:42I mean, every location we went to, I would get there,
01:45and I'd just start laughing.
01:46They're like, who thought you should shoot a movie here?
01:50You know, we're shooting in Nestor's Cave in Greece.
01:53It's this incredible place.
01:54But nobody's ever tried to shoot a film up there,
01:57and so to see the rigging that they did,
01:59to basically turn it into a natural soundstage,
02:02I don't know any other director who would try it.
02:06There was no location that was straightforward and easy,
02:10but all of those locations made sense for the story, really.
02:14It wouldn't be the film that it is
02:15without going there and doing it for real.
02:19The scale was so, so big.
02:23I think what's so special about Chris's movies
02:25is that he goes the extra distance
02:27to make it feel authentic for us on set,
02:30which then makes it feel more authentic
02:31for the audience in the theater.
02:33I mean, there's a reason we call these things Odysseys.
02:36This is the Odyssey,
02:38and it really is a journey
02:39through all of these incredible places
02:41and hopefully something that just really,
02:43profoundly entertains and moves people.
02:46As a fan, I'm so excited.
02:48I cannot wait to sit in that IMAX theater
02:51and completely be lost in this world that he's created.
03:01I am so excited.
03:02Until next time, I'm going to go ahead!
