00:04The Zulu believe if you die in your dreams, you die in real life.
00:08The new psychological thriller Strong stars Chloe Bailey as Layla.
00:15A musical prodigy, she takes a job tutoring a young girl.
00:19Then secrets start to emerge.
00:23It was just such a thrill.
00:27I'm always the person who's like, oh, this is going to happen and this is going to happen.
00:31I try to guess it.
00:32But even watching it back, knowing what happens, being in the scenes, I was sitting there like, what?
00:40And I'm a talker during a film.
00:41So this movie is for all the talkers during the film like me.
00:45Sit down with your friends, have a glass of wine.
00:48And yeah, this is a movie for me specifically.
00:51I love the whirlwind of the mess.
00:54Strong is produced by Blumhouse Productions, known for their psychological horror movies, including Get Out and Us.
01:04Gosh, I think what Blumhouse do, they take risks in a way, especially in the current kind of general view
01:14of the industry right now.
01:16And I think it's a great, yeah, to be able to put in performances like this and to take risks,
01:24you don't really get that many opportunities.
01:27The type of money they pay is the perfect opportunity.
01:33Let's meet your potential student.
01:37The film is a departure for director Malcolm D. Lee, who's best known for comedies.
01:46That type of money makes people act crazy.
01:50It's interesting, you know, we looked at a lot of different masks and used combinations of like what the symbolism
01:57for a lot of these masks are.
01:59And but we also didn't want to be too busy, but we also wanted to be very stark and also
02:03to have a good contrast.
02:07I will take care of you.
02:09I don't need help.
02:10But I think you will.
02:14Strung premieres on June 26th on Peacock.
