00:00Christina Simone from the Philippines and we're here to represent our film Agapito.
00:06So my stay in India is so exciting. I'm having fun right now and I want to go back to
00:18see more
00:19in India and explore your country. Before this, have you ever seen an Indian movie
00:28or anything that you would like to tell about it?
00:32Yeah, I've seen some in the Netflix, but I'm sorry I forgot the title.
00:38But I think that Indian films are very exciting and also very colorful.
00:48And I'm a fan of horror movies.
00:53So I think I've watched a horror film of Indian film.
00:58So I find it so exciting.
01:02And at the same time, I keep on screaming because it's very good.
01:09The cinematography and the effects of it are very good.
01:13And I must say that I love films from India.
01:18What was your experience? How are you feeling in Mumbai?
01:24First, Mumbai.
01:27It's so the architecture of Mumbai is sort of raw.
01:33In terms of, I told to Mamitina that Mumbai is so cinematic, raw,
01:40and it has a character.
01:44And I want to do a film here because of the people also.
01:50They are warm and kind to us even if we are tourists.
01:54And by the way, I'm Antonio Lasco.
01:57I'm an actor in the Philippines.
01:59And then we represent the Agapito.
02:03And of course, filmmaking here in Mumbai, it's so much.
02:08We feel the passion of it.
02:10I told to the organizer.
02:16Very much organized.
02:18At the same time, we feel the passion and burning in their hearts.
02:23That's why we go here to try it, but they give us more.
02:28They accommodate us.
02:30And that's why I want to come back again.
02:33And in terms of film of India, I want also at Netflix the animation.
02:41The animation in terms of animation, the Indian filmmakers.
02:46It's so much, you can see the rawness at the same time.
02:53You can see the new technologies, a lot of symbolism, a lot of meanings.
02:59That's why I love to watch animation.
03:02Two last questions.
03:03Actually, you're in Mumbai.
03:05And Mumbai, you're an actor also.
03:07And in Mumbai, we can see there are many faces.
03:09Have you seen any character that you would be honored to be a character of that person?
03:19What character in Mumbai, especially?
03:23Any person around the road, have you seen a character that you will remember for your acting purpose?
03:31What character that I see?
03:35Maybe it's the being fierce, and at the same time, the impact, the acting impact that the film or the
03:50actor is giving.
03:51So that's the thing that gave us the impression in the films that we've watched.
04:02And also, being passionate and being their love for their craft.
04:11And you can see it in their eyes.
04:13So for me, the eyes really matters.
04:18So in acting, you really have to look the expression of the eyes.
04:24In addition to that, you can see the rawness.
04:28They are acting, but they don't feel there's a camera.
04:33And it's real, it's natural.
04:37It's a real people.
04:38That's why I love to watch Indian films.
04:42Yeah.
04:42One last question.
04:43What would you like to say about the film, the short film that you're going to show today?
04:47You're shown today.
04:49Agapito?
04:52So basically, Agapito is, the primary story is about family, siblings, love with the brother and the sister,
05:08and also friends that turned into a family.
05:13So basically, Agapito is, it's about love, compassion, and the word is Agapito.
05:25And then, it's just a trivia.
05:28Agape is love.
05:30And I don't know if it's in what language is that.
05:34So Agapito is love.
05:36And the entire cast felt that love with each other, and it was really shown in our film, Agapito.
05:46In addition to that, we don't do that for a competition.
05:53We do that for our passion, because we are friends, all of the crew and actors, we are friends.
06:00We're doing this for our passion and love.
06:01And then, it's a bonus point, we make it to the top tier film festival, which is the Cannes, Toronto
06:10Film Festival, and also MIF.
06:13And then, that's why we are here, because of our heart and passion of doing film.
