00:00Hello everyone.
00:02It's been a year that I was in Kyiv for the National Day of Ukraine.
00:11And a year ago, I had the honor of being in Kyiv for the National Day of Ukraine.
00:17Let me make a couple of observations.
00:20Number one, I looked in awe at the history, including the cathedral and the monasteries.
00:29And let me, on behalf of the Canadian people, myself personally,
00:35are outraged and horror at the attack overnight on the Kyiv Pichesk Labra Monastery,
00:42which is yet another symbol of the brutality of Putin's regime.
00:48Second point, I looked with honor at the brave men and women who you awarded,
00:58decorations to sometimes, unfortunately, to their widows or to their children.
01:03And the sacrifice of the Ukrainian people will not be in vain.
01:09And we look where we are a year on, that bravery, your ingenuity, your determination.
01:17And the tide is turning, as expected, in this war.
01:21And this was part of what we just discussed.
01:23Ukraine will win.
01:24It's just a question of time.
01:26It's just a question of how much senseless slaughter Russia perpetrates.
01:32And what we see today is unity in the G7, unity behind you and behind moving forward.
01:40There's a number of tangible ways, and I'll just finish with this.
01:43Canada today is announcing an additional range of sanctions on over 160 entities focused on the Shadow Fleet, as we
01:52should.
01:52Our delivery of our – the latest stage of pearl packages, air defense packages, is coming.
02:00We're working more closely on production of drones together, and we'll discuss the next stage of that.
02:07But also, crucially, support for the energy system and for the winter, as well as for the reconstruction,
02:16because I go back to where I started, which is the outcome is not in doubt in securing the peace
02:21and building the reconstruction.
02:24It's an honor, and I look forward to that.
02:27Thank you very much.
02:29Yeah, Mark, thanks to your team and people of Canada for strong support.
02:34We really have great allies and personal – big personal involvement of the prime minister to support Ukraine.
02:43And then today, I agree with Mark that we have a great meeting.
02:49G7 plus Ukraine, we have a great meeting.
02:52And our partners supported our messages, what we really need, energy package.
02:59We need air defense, more impatriate missiles.
03:03And we spoke also about licenses, how to increase the production.
03:07And I think this is a good idea, which was supported today during our meeting.
03:14And also, everybody understands.
03:16And thanks to Mark for the strong position.
03:19And it was really during our meeting that Russia is not winning.
03:22Everybody understands.
03:24It's great that everybody is understanding.
03:26And that Russia is not winning.
03:28And we have to push Putin to end this war.
03:31This is so important.
03:33I agree that we have not only our personal good relations.
03:38We have great opportunity now to produce co-production with Canada in MilTab, drones, and et cetera.
03:47And we will speak about it, not only about this, also about energy.
03:51So, thanks so much.
03:53What about licenses?
03:55What kind of answer did you get from President Trump?
03:58I think that it was very positive that everybody recognized it.
04:03And we will, our teams will work on it.
04:06Thank you, Miriam.
04:07Very positive.
04:07Very good.
