00:00Well, this is a very special summer for us all over America, celebrating America Freedom 250,
00:09but it's also a special time for Italy, celebrating their 80th year as a republic.
00:15And so I just, I was looking to do something unique, and where I've been able to visit all the
00:21big cities,
00:22I haven't had the opportunity to visit lots of the smaller areas and meet the leadership of business
00:28and political in those areas.
00:31And so doing all these stops is going to be great, and getting to see people in the small towns,
00:36the big towns, and the leadership from both.
00:40Well, it's extremely special, and to be celebrating it here is, you know, what's better than that?
00:50I'll be celebrating it here all summer.
00:52I'm not going back to America to celebrate it, because we're going to have a great time here celebrating it.
00:58Well, I think it's gone pretty darn good.
01:01No, it's been great.
01:03It's been better than I ever expected.
01:08We've loved living in Villa Taverna.
01:11We moved in last year on July the 10th.
01:13We spent the first three weeks I was here on the boat.
01:16And it's truly been wonderful.
01:19It feels like home.
01:22The people of Italy have made it feel like home.
01:25The leadership has been great, getting to know all the ministers, the president, the prime minister.
01:32You're very fortunate to have the strong leadership that you have right now.
01:36And, you know, I look forward to working with them over the next almost three years.
01:41Well, I haven't been to a lot of the places before, but, you know, I'm looking forward to our first
01:48one in Naples after this one in two weeks.
01:52I'm looking forward to be in Palermo on July the 4th itself.
01:56I'm looking forward to being in Cefalu, where a lot of my family is from, the following day on Sunday.
02:03You know, I'm looking at being, you know, I really haven't spent a lot of time in Bari up there,
02:10in that area.
02:12I'm looking forward to being up there.
02:13There's a lot of places that I haven't, you know, spent a lot of time at, you know, as a,
02:18as a, I don't like the word tourist,
02:22but as somebody that visited Italy almost every year, the last 15 years, you know, I've been to all the
02:27tourist places.
02:29So it's nice to visit the places that are not touristy, which I've, I've had a great time doing,
02:35going to all the little islands right here around Rome that, that I don't have to see, you know, Americans.
02:42I can see Italians.
02:44Well, you know, my, my great grandfather left Palermo in 1887 and moved to America,
02:53came back a couple of years later and got his girlfriend.
02:55They had seven children in Louisiana.
02:59One of those was my grandfather.
03:01And so, you know, my great grandfather left here in 1887.
03:07So it's, it's great.
03:08I grew up eating Italian food and all the Italian mannerisms.
03:13And, you know, it's been great.
03:15And it's something that we're all very proud of and my family, you know, to be Italian.
