00:05I will start with the Miami element of it, which is the first thing that he said.
00:08And that is Miami has been in talks with Milwaukee for months about a deal for Giannis.
00:14Months.
00:15They've been talking about this.
00:16That's obviously a long time.
00:18This probably started at the trade deadline when we know the Celtics apparently kicked the tires as well and made
00:22a phone call.
00:23He also repeatedly says in there that a couple things.
00:29First, let's go back to Giannis.
00:30Giannis willing to extend in Miami.
00:33Straight up willing to extend in Miami.
00:35Also willing to do it in Boston, but that the Celtics are very cautious in what it is they're going
00:41to be willing to offer.
00:43And that no one involved wants to be bidding against themselves.
00:47So when I hear that, I think Miami and Milwaukee have been talking for months and they're not close to
00:53a deal.
00:53And they have not been able to find a path forward to getting a deal done.
00:57And meanwhile, the Celtics are talking to them and the Celtics are being cautious.
01:01And so Windhorst doesn't want to say or assume anything about what it is they're offering.
01:06And I think what he's referring to is what the rest of us assume, which is offers for Giannis from
01:11Boston include Jalen Brown.
01:14Sounds to me like Windhorst, if you read between the lines, there is saying Boston's not automatically including Jalen Brown
01:20in these talks because they don't think Miami has a very good package that they're offering Milwaukee.
01:26And so they're just going to kind of play it coy.
01:30They're going to kind of wait around and maybe wait for the price to come down and wait for them
01:36to make multiple deals to be able to have Giannis on their team, but not necessarily include the guys that
01:42are moving off their roster in the deal for Giannis.
01:45That's how I read it.
