00:00Hello, everyone is welcome to today's Insightful Explainer.
00:04Today's wish is a game changer for all those people working in the world of e-commerce.
00:09It is going to prove beneficial for those who want to maximize their profit margin.
00:13Today we're going to decode one of Amazon's cool features that often gets overlooked.
00:19Is, Amazon FBA Wish List Program.
00:21Or there's a smart way to earn amazing extra rewards just by sending the right inventory to the right place.
00:28Can go.
00:29So, without further ado, let's get started with this insider guide.
00:33Okay, so let's dive into the blueprint that will guide this entire discussion.
00:38The topics to be covered today are: what is a wish list program, its 6-step process, a breakdown of the reward rate, and profits.
00:46Some real world scenarios, very important eligibility rules and finally some strategic takeaways to help you start your business immediately.
00:52Can be implemented in.
00:54Section 1, wish list program, what is this after all?
00:57It is important to note that this program is specifically designed for those sellers,
01:04Those who use Amazon's fulfillment centers i.e. FBA and keep stock of high demand products.
01:11The core of this entire program is seller reward points, which is called SRP in short.
01:16To put it simply, this is a special incentive given by Amazon to FBA sellers.
01:22These points are earned whenever the products included in the wish list are sold during an active promotion period.
01:27are generated.
01:28And the most interesting thing about this is that these points are not just digital numbers.
01:33These convert directly into redeemable rewards, vouchers or promotional benefits for the business.
01:38Meaning direct profit without much extra effort.
01:42Section 2. The Sixth Step Process
01:44Now let's move ahead and see how this entire mechanism is built.
01:50This pipeline is very simple and straightforward for sellers.
01:54So the whole process works something like this.
01:56Number 1. Amazon releases a wish list which contains some specific ASINs i.e. product IDs.
02:03Number 2. Sellers send those matching products directly to the FBA warehouse.
02:08Now comes number 3 and this step is very crucial.
02:11The seller has to subscribe for the promotion.
02:13Number 4. As sales are made through FBA, points start accruing.
02:18Number 5. Performance is calculated at the end of the month.
02:22And the last step, by the 15th of the next month, all SRPs are directly credited to the seller's reward account.
02:28Are.
02:29A very smooth flow from product sourcing to reward crediting.
02:33Section 3. Reward rate breakdown
02:36So how many points will you actually get?
02:39The answer to this question depends entirely on two things.
02:42What is the category of the product and what is its price label?
02:45Now the most interesting thing that comes out in this slide is that
02:50In fact, low-priced products are giving bigger rewards.
02:54The thing to be noted here is that if any product of normal category
02:58If the price is between Rs 0 to Rs 250, then you get 23 points per unit.
03:03But if the price increases to the bracket of Rs 251 to Rs 500, the reward reduces to 15 points.
03:09goes.
03:10Moreover, rewards for select category products come in slabs of 12 and 10 points.
03:15This means that Amazon is clearly giving more incentives for stocking low-priced, high-demand items.
03:21Section 4. Real world profit scenario
03:24Now is the time to convert this theory into practice.
03:28Let's see this math in action through three different business scenarios.
03:35Scenario number 1
03:36Let's assume there is a mobile cover in the wish list.
03:40This is part of the mobile accessories i.e. normal category and its selling price is Rs 200.
03:47Now let's assume that 100 units of it are sold through FBA.
03:52Since the price is less than Rs 200, it directly hits the highest reward slab.
03:59Where you get 23 SRP per unit.
04:02So the calculation is very simple, multiplying 100 units by 23 points gives a total of 2300 SRP points.
04:11It is worth thinking that regular profit is there in itself, on top of that this 2300 points
04:17You are getting an extra bonus, that too without spending a single rupee on marketing.
04:21This is really amazing.
04:23Now let's move on to the second scenario. This is an electronics product with a selling price of ₹400.
04:29This means that it has shifted to the second price slab i.e. the bracket of Rs 251 to Rs 500.
04:36In this slab, the reward for normal category is Rs 15 SRP per unit.
04:41Suppose this time 50 units get wet.
04:4450 units and 15 points per unit make a total of 7500 SRP points.
04:52Even though the per unit reward is slightly reduced here, the points are still very good and stable.
04:58The flow remains constant.
05:00And now the third and last scenario which is related to select category.
05:05Let's assume the product is a book which is being sold for Rs 200.
05:09The books are placed in the select category and let's assume that 100 units of this are also sold.
05:15The specific reward rate for a Rs 200 slab in the Select category is Rs 12 SRP per unit.
05:22So multiplying 100 units by 12 points gives the final total of 1200 SRP points.
05:29This scenario proves that even though the base reward rate in the select category is low, if the volume
05:36If it is good then great rewards can be achieved easily.
05:41Volume is always a game changer.
05:44Section 5 Crucial Eligibility Rules
05:47Look, everything looks great so far, but there are some very strict rules here.
05:53It is very important to understand these boundaries because if the rules are not followed then no reward will be captured.
06:00Will get it.
06:01So the most crucial point is that orders sold through MFN i.e. Merchant Fulfilled Network or Easy Ship
06:09But you will not get any reward at all.
06:12This is a very clear cut rule.
06:15Reward will be available only if the product is in the wishlist, fulfilled through FBA, promotion is subscribed and
06:22The sale should have taken place during the promotion period only.
06:24If an ASN is not in the wishlist, it is completely out of the program.
06:29Section 6, Strategic Business Takeaway
06:32So after understanding all the theory and rules, let us see how to apply it immediately in business.
06:38What should be the action plan for this?
06:41And this slide brilliantly illustrates how one small step can have a huge impact.
06:48Can put.
06:50The first step in the action plan is to download the wishlist Excel file and then add the ASINs to your existing inventory.
06:58Cross-checking with Amazon FC, clearing inventory of matching products without delay
07:05I can change the route.
07:06This simple habit of checking Excel sheets can turn standard sales into a dual income stream.
07:13Such a wonderful piece along with normal profit.
07:16So summing up this entire discussion, a very provocative question arises.
07:22Are businesses unknowingly leaving their precious reward points on the warehouse floor just because
07:30He did not even check the wish list Excel sheet.
07:34Every product that was listed but didn't ship to FBA is a missed opportunity.
07:41That's all for today's explainer. We hope this insightful wish proves very beneficial for everyone.
07:48will be.
