AnimalsTranscript
00:01Sadly, this lion, if left untreated, would literally die.
00:05And it's the first of a thousand animals we're going to be saving in this video.
00:09Here's how.
00:09We'll be using a sniper to vaccinate giraffes from a helicopter.
00:13We ain't leaving until all the giraffes are vaccinated!
00:16Rescuing lions from a zoo that was literally bombed.
00:19Be free!
00:20Relocating massive rhinos before they fight each other to death.
00:23Gonna add a lot of years to this rhino's life.
00:25And so many more unbelievable rescues.
00:28Starting with performing life-saving surgery on this lion.
00:31This is Dr. Alex. What are we about to do?
00:33This lion has a tooth infection that could literally kill us.
00:36So we're going to perform a root canal to save this lion's life.
00:38We're giving it life-saving surgery to remove the infection in its teeth.
00:42Can you just hold that lip like that for us?
00:44Oh my gosh! He is literally pulling gunk out of its teeth.
00:47And this gunk, if untreated, would somehow end up in the lion's heart valve?
00:52That's right.
00:52What would happen if she woke up?
00:54She'd bite my finger off.
00:55Oh. And my finger.
00:57That looks really good. Procedure's done.
00:59Let's release her.
01:00Now the lion is happy and healthy.
01:02But we still have 999 animals left to save.
01:05Our next mission is to save some rhinos.
01:07We have to search this massive reservation in order to tranquilize and relocate them.
01:12While we're driving around looking for rhinos, Chandler's actually in the sky.
01:16I'm literally flying around in a helicopter in search of these rhinos that we were trying to rescue.
01:20Typically, the stronger rhinos would just scare away the weaker ones.
01:24But since the reservation is surrounded by anti-poaching fences, the weaker rhinos have nowhere to go, so they end
01:29up killing each other.
01:30Yeah, exactly.
01:31Which is why we're going to put them to sleep and then transport them to a plot of land that
01:35can be in their own territory.
01:36Where they're not getting bullied out of all the food and water and they can actually grow big and strong.
01:40Jimmy, come in. We found the rhinos.
01:42We found the rhinos. Let's rescue them, baby.
01:44All right, he's got a rhino. Go, go, go.
01:46I got the tranquilizer guy. I'm going to shoot him and put him to sleep so we can relocate him
01:51safely.
01:55You did it!
01:56Chandler, hit the rhino. Let's go!
01:58Let's go!
01:59Rhino down. I'm relocating.
02:00Hey, good shot, Chandler!
02:02First things first, we're putting on the anti-poaching collar. Here's what it does.
02:06This collar tracks the rhino's speed and its proximity to nearby wildlife.
02:10If the rhino suddenly starts running in an open area with no other animals around,
02:14we'll know likely that poachers are trying to kill it.
02:17We're going all out to make sure these rhinos live long lives because there's not many left on the planet.
02:22Yeah, well, look, thanks a lot. That's all we can say.
02:24So this is a microchip, which we're inserting in a tiny hole in his horn.
02:28And then we're sealing it with glue.
02:30So now if a poacher does kill this rhino illegally, we'll be able to trace its horns to the black
02:34market
02:35and, you know, help catch them.
02:36Let's get it to its own space so the other big rhinos here don't kill it.
02:39I know this all seems kind of weird, but this is going to add a lot of years to this
02:45rhino's life.
02:46Let's get him in.
02:48It's for your own good. Go inside.
02:50We're now in the safe area for the rhino where he's not going to get bullied and slowly killed.
02:56All right.
02:57I say we name him Hippo.
02:59Hippo?
02:59He's a rhino.
03:01Well, yeah, but his name's Hippo.
03:02I'm calling him Hippo the Rhino.
03:04All right.
03:04All right, Hippo the Rhino, enjoy your life.
03:06We still have hundreds more animals to save.
03:08And after my friend saved the other two smaller rhinos on the safari,
03:12we set our sights on something a little taller.
03:15Girass.
03:17Have a vaccine!
03:18By shooting them with vaccines.
03:22Unlike when we tranquilize the rhinos,
03:23these high-powered air rifles actually deliver a massive dart filled with life-saving medicine.
03:29Enjoy your vaccines!
03:31Have a great day.
03:32Why are they running?
03:33We're trying to save their lives.
03:34Throughout this video, we're going to be saving over a thousand animals.
03:38I guess no one told the giraffes because they were making it kind of difficult.
03:42Sir, I'm trying to vaccinate you.
03:44It's good for you.
03:45I promise, giraffes.
03:46Come get a vaccine.
03:47Bro, it's so far away.
03:49We need to elevate our tactics.
03:52Because the giraffe's territory is so large,
03:55this is the easiest way to get them the medication that they need.
03:59If a giraffe gets one of these diseases, what's its odds of dying?
04:04A hundred percent.
04:05Really?
04:06Oh my god.
04:07Let's save some giraffes live.
04:10Yeah!
04:11Hey, let's get that other one.
04:13Hey, we ain't leaving.
04:14Call the giraffes for vaccinated.
04:16Even though I now had air superiority.
04:20Enjoy your medicine.
04:21Take care.
04:22I brought in extra help to save as many animals as possible.
04:31I see five unvaccinated giraffes.
04:36Four unvaccinated giraffes.
04:38Three unvaccinated giraffes.
04:43The last one's the one in the front.
04:47Yeah!
04:48Look at that!
04:49Five in a row.
04:50We're on a kill streak.
04:51Although, we're not killing them.
04:53We're saving their lives.
04:54One in the butt!
04:56Yeah!
04:57By the time we left, we vaccinated a total of 70 giraffes.
05:04Bringing us to 74 animals saved so far.
05:07We even got to see our hard work from earlier pay off.
05:10Yes, but right now we dropped off.
05:11Oh, it is!
05:12It's so happy!
05:14Bro, who would have thought giving giraffes a vaccine would be so fun?
05:18But we still had a lot more animals to save.
05:21So, we're traveling from South Africa all the way up to Ukraine, where years of war have destroyed the zoos,
05:29leaving rescued lions to survive in makeshift shelters.
05:33And because they're still threatened by the ongoing war, we're going to fly them out of there.
05:38Which is why we have this giant cargo plane just to transport these three lions out of Ukraine.
05:45They stripped this plane.
05:47Literally, there are no seats.
05:48These three lions each get first-class tickets.
05:51And with the help of wildlife conservationist Anthony Penniston, we're flying them over 7,000 miles to South Africa to
05:58his animal sanctuary, Lion Watch, where these lions will have over 14 acres of open land to roam free.
06:05There's a legit tiger right there.
06:08Actually, Madge, that's a lion.
06:11Oh, okay.
06:13Can I take it?
06:14And after Anthony released the first lion, it was up to Madge to help release the other two.
06:20What?
06:22I got to do that, too.
06:23Yeah.
06:25You ready?
06:26I'm ready.
06:26Let's do it.
06:27Let's go.
06:29She's gone.
06:33The lions are now free from the dangers of war and able to run across their native African lands.
06:39And while saving exotic animals is important, it wouldn't be a saving animals video if we didn't save 100 dogs.
06:47Many dog shelters are overcrowded.
06:49And if a dog goes too long without finding a home, they're killed to make room for new dogs.
06:54Every five minutes, one dog in an animal shelter like this is killed.
06:59So we need to get these 100 dogs adopted right now.
07:02How's it going?
07:03Good.
07:04And you?
07:04Oh, hey.
07:05Nice to meet you.
07:06Are you excited to get a dog?
07:08What kind of dog are you guys looking for?
07:09We're looking for a small, little one.
07:11Oh, a little small one?
07:14I think I want to come with you.
07:16Do you like it?
07:18Aw.
07:18Say hi, puppy.
07:20What do we think about adopting her?
07:21Yes.
07:22Are you going to play with that dog every day?
07:24Yeah.
07:24And give it tons of love?
07:25Shake on it.
07:27All right, one down.
07:2899 dogs to go.
07:29And you may not know this, but taking care of a dog's health actually costs a bunch of money.
07:34And some people, unfortunately, can't afford it.
07:37We love him.
07:38Hi.
07:39Which is why I wanted to share the good news.
07:42And like all the other dogs here, all the medical bills are covered and he's free.
07:45We're covering all the adoption fees.
07:47Oh, wow.
07:47Yeah, so you guys can take him home for $0.
07:49Oh, my goodness.
07:51No problem.
07:52It was incredible to see so many dogs find their forever home.
07:56How can you say no to those puppy dog guys?
07:58Wow.
07:59How long have you been looking for a dog?
08:01Two to three months now.
08:02She's perfect.
08:03Aw, she really is, though.
08:04Do you think you're going to take her home?
08:06Yeah.
08:07That's what we like to hear.
08:09Brandon's been adopted.
08:11You guys going to take good care of him?
08:13Yeah.
08:13More and more dogs were getting saved.
08:16But since puppies have a higher rate of adoption, older dogs are less likely to survive.
08:22Like Blue, this dog that's 10 years old, still waiting to find his perfect human match.
08:28We're looking for something a little older just because we're a little low energy.
08:32How about Blue?
08:33What do you think?
08:34Hi, he's cute.
08:35I think he's great.
08:36He just looks so gentle.
08:37What a cutie.
08:38He's going to be so happy with you guys.
08:41Thank you so much.
08:42But we weren't done yet.
08:43As the day went on, we watched dog after dog get adopted into a loving home.
08:49Are we ready to adopt?
08:50Yes, I am.
08:50Go.
08:51And before we knew it, we saved 100 dogs, all going to families devoted to giving them
08:57the best life possible.
08:59Next up, we're saving exotic miniature horses.
09:02Because these tiny horses were being sold at an auction to be killed for food.
09:07And I'm sorry, but I'm not just going to stand by and let these horses get slaughtered.
09:11So, I bought them all.
09:13And we're going to find all of these horses a home.
09:18Oops, excuse me.
09:19The horsies are over here.
09:21Oh, she seems to want this one.
09:24You guys have other horses?
09:25I have a full-sized one at home.
09:27So, the horse you're adopting is for her?
09:29Oh, yeah.
09:30Oh, really?
09:30So, she can grow up riding a horse?
09:32Oh, did he kiss it?
09:34Wait, how did I get that one?
09:36You want the horses to think it's their decision that they're getting in the trailer.
09:39Let me try something.
09:40I'll give you guys $10,000 if you get in the trailer.
09:43Oh!
09:46Oh, they did it!
09:47It works!
09:47You guys came here wanting one, and now you're leaving with two?
09:50I think minis are like potato chips.
09:52You can't have enough?
09:53Technically, I'm not supposed to be bringing another one home.
09:56But the answer was not no.
09:58You want a third one, then?
09:59To load up the whole trailer.
10:01Two weeks ago, they were going to be slaughtered.
10:03And now they're getting loving homes.
10:05And you guys are going to spoil them, right?
10:06Oh, heck, yes!
10:07Oh, see, this is awesome.
10:09That's the point of this video.
10:10And after adopting out our last three horses...
10:13What a sweet little horse.
10:15We also saved four donkeys, who are all getting to stay together.
10:19And now we're off to help one of the biggest birds on the planet.
10:22Now we're at Maya's Animal Sanctuary, which I actually think is pretty fascinating
10:26because she helps fund it through a 24-7 Twitch livestream
10:29where you can donate to give animals treats and other cool little things.
10:33And the money donated on this livestream gives animals treats
10:36and helps fund this massive animal sanctuary.
10:39Which is filled with tons of exotic animals
10:41that Maya has been rehabilitating for her entire life.
10:45All right.
10:45So Marmset Enclosure.
10:47That's Momo up there.
10:48Momo.
10:49Momo's so cute.
10:50He does really like screens.
10:51If you have a phone and you want to show him something.
10:53Aww.
10:53Not only do you like her videos, but apparently so do monkeys.
10:58It's a dominance thing.
11:01This is Winnie the Moo.
11:02To help raise money for this sanctuary, which is owned by a non-profit,
11:05Winnie the Moo here is on a 24-7 livestream.
11:07And if you donate money like I just did,
11:09her feeder gives her treats and then she goes and eat them.
11:12This is a really cool, innovative way that she's been able to fund this sanctuary
11:15and keep expanding it.
11:16This is awesome.
11:17She loves that feeder.
11:18Now the real reason why we're here, Stompy the Emu.
11:20How's it going?
11:21How you doing, Stompy?
11:22Stompy lives here with our horses and our cow and our donkey.
11:25Clearly, as you can tell, Stompy basically believes he's a horse.
11:28Which is bad because Stompy could literally get stomped on.
11:32Which is why me and Lowe's are partnered with Maya to build an emu sanctuary.
11:36It's, uh, it's not there yet.
11:38But after this montage, it will be.
11:44I also want to give a massive shout out to Lowe's for helping make this project possible.
11:47Lowe's has been on the ground helping since the moment floods caused damage to the area.
11:52And now the sanctuary will be part of Lowe's commitment
11:54to delivering 10 million square feet of impact this year.
11:57How do we continue helping Stompy?
11:59We gotta get this fence up here.
12:00I have never built a fence before.
12:03All right, rolling out the fence.
12:05Maya, how are you cutting it so easily?
12:08Maya, you make me look weak.
12:10Whenever your community is in need, Lowe's is there to help you.
12:12Even if it's for things like building a fence for Stompy.
12:14All right, we're gonna plant this plant.
12:15Dig a hole right there.
12:17Yes, ma'am.
12:17What you want to do is make an oblong shake.
12:19Question.
12:20What's an oblong?
12:21Like a hot dog.
12:22Perfect.
12:23I got it.
12:24Jagged.
12:25Doesn't have to be perfect.
12:27There you go.
12:28And then we'll put it in here.
12:31And if you want to learn more about how Lowe's is helping communities like yours,
12:34just click the link in the description or go to this website right here, right now.
12:38Now we need to see what Stompy thinks of his new home
12:40and introduce him to his new girlfriend.
12:43You're free.
12:44What do you think of your new home, Stompy?
12:47I heard you like trees, so we opted for an enclosure with a lot of trees.
12:51Hi.
12:52What do you think of it?
12:54I'll take that as he loves it.
12:55Not only did we build you a home where a horse won't accidentally kill you,
12:58but we also got you a friend.
13:00We made this bad boy big enough for two emus.
13:02Can I name it?
13:03Yeah.
13:04Wait, why'd you say it like that?
13:05Yeah, no, yeah, I trust you.
13:06We should name this emu
13:10Nolan's mom.
13:10Yeah.
13:15Really?
13:15Yeah.
13:17All right, let's let her out.
13:18What do you think of my name?
13:19What does that even mean?
13:20It means her name's Nolan's mom.
13:22Hi.
13:23Hi, Nolan's mom.
13:25Hi, she's sweet.
13:26Yeah.
13:27Yeah.
13:27And to wrap things up, we are at the wolf sanctuary that Maya wants to build.
13:31Take off your blindfold, and to help bring the wolf sanctuary to life,
13:35we wanted to give you a $50,000 donation to help bring it together.
13:40Earlier this year, Maya's animal sanctuary faced extensive damage due to the Texas floods,
13:45and it really set them back.
13:46But thanks to Lowe's, Maya now has $50,000 to kickstart this wolf sanctuary.
13:51That is crazy.
13:52Thank you so much.
13:53Up next, we're saving two sea lions, starting with Rocky, who unfortunately has a bullet in
14:00his head.
14:00This video is about saving animals, and I want to let you know that we want to cover the
14:03expenses of taking care of Rocky.
14:04Thank you so much.
14:06It will take some time for him to recover from surgery.
14:08However, Gertrude, our other sea lion, is ready to be released.
14:13She previously suffered from being brutally entangled in a net and almost died.
14:17Let's go release Gertrude.
14:19Ready?
14:19Ready?
14:20All right.
14:20Three, two, one.
14:23Go!
14:25Oh, she's wasting no time.
14:27Look at this.
14:28Here's the ocean.
14:29Look at that.
14:30There she goes.
14:31Oh, there she goes.
14:32Oh, man.
14:33Oh, let's go!
14:35Yeah!
14:36Yeah!
14:37Gertrude!
14:38Yes!
14:39Woo!
14:41With over 800 animals left to save, it's time to rapid fire.
14:45Over in the Amazon rainforest, we worked with Mingo Lodge and Sanctuary to release over 200
14:50animals back into the wild.
14:52What we have here is silky enteater.
14:54It's one of the rarest species of animals that we can find here.
14:57Oh, my God.
14:58It's so cute and small.
14:59Go on, little guy.
15:01Bye.
15:02These animals would have been killed if we didn't have sanctuaries like Mingo to rehabilitate.
15:08So now we're bringing this tortoise over here into its natural habitat.
15:12And set them free.
15:14But we weren't done yet.
15:16Because back in the U.S., we saved hundreds more animals.
15:20Like here at Wildlife Critters Circle of Life, where we funded 47 injured and abandoned animals,
15:25including this black wolf named Draco.
15:28He was shot in Louisiana.
15:30And when Draco came in, he couldn't stand.
15:32Now as you see, he's running around and super happy.
15:3520 foxes were going to be slaughtered and turned into fur coats.
15:39But instead, we stepped in and saved every single one of them.
15:42You get toys and treats and you get to walk around.
15:45Here at this gigantic bird sanctuary, we saved 70 native birds, like this scree child that was
15:51hit by a car and is now getting help for his injured eyes.
15:54We're actually unsure if his full vision is going to come back in that one eye.
15:58Luckily for owls, they can't survive in the wild with just one functioning eye.
16:02We also treated 42 injured or orphaned white-tailed deer.
16:06Come on, deer.
16:07This one is healthy enough to walk and graze freely again.
16:09At this rescue in Georgia, we saved 85 animals.
16:13This Mississippi kite has healed enough to fly again.
16:16And at this turtle rescue in New York, we saved 48 different turtles.
16:19This one's finally healthy enough to return to his natural habitat.
16:24This skate park.
16:26Back at Wildlife Critters Circle of Life, this kangaroo named Bodhi lost his mother.
16:31So he needs a few things that simulate having a mother.
16:34We have special nipples that resemble the mom best we can.
16:38We make pouches so they feel secure and they still get the momentum of the mom moving.
16:44And also over at Waddle-on-In, where a duck named Marjorie lost her beak to a snapping turtle.
16:49So we took her into our vet, Dr. Chester, had a prostate feet put on.
16:53Because without it, she could not eat.
16:55We also paid for the 46 other birds that are getting help here.
16:59All of these specialized medical treatments and rehabilitation techniques
17:04cost quite a bit of money.
17:06That's why we helped four other organizations across the country
