00:00This is one of the craziest hybrid cameras I have ever tested.
00:03Normally, you have to choose between high resolution or shooting speed,
00:06but the new Sony a7R6 changes that.
00:0967 megapixels, fully stacked sensor, 30fps blackout free burst,
00:14which is three times faster than the a7R5.
00:17That is a huge upgrade.
00:18Sony also introduced a new 100-400mm f4.5 lens with internal zoom,
00:24and all the shots you're seeing right now have come from that lens.
00:26And thanks to lots of very talented models, different lighting setups, and constant movement,
00:30this let me stress test out this new combo.
00:32And I think action and wildlife photographers are going to love this.
00:35The new a7R6 gets a pre-capture mode.
00:38Half-press the shutter, and it starts buffering up to a full second before you actually take the shot.
00:43Combined with its faster AI autofocus, I was locking onto subjects that were way off in the distance
00:48that I could still super crop into because of all that extra resolution.
00:51And for hybrid shooters like myself, this still shoots up to 8K 30p,
00:55but now with a slightly reduced 1.2 times crop.
00:58A bigger upgrade though is its 4K 60 and 4K 120 no longer have any crop,
01:04and it finally works with active stabilization for up to 8.5 stops.
01:08Something to keep in mind though, if you're an existing Sony shooter,
01:10your old batteries will not work here.
01:12The new SA batteries are 27% larger, but you will have to buy a completely new set.
01:17Pricing is $44.99, which is a $600 jump over the a7R5,
01:21but for a lot of professionals, that increased speed alone is going to be worth it.
01:26So let me know if you're picking one up.
